Chapter 168 You Should Be the One to Stay Away from Me

Seb's cold gaze finally shifted from Sharon to Leo.

"Let's go."

Leo nodded and led Seb to the office.

Paul stayed behind. After Seb and Leo entered, he turned to Sharon. "Ms. Wright, don't mind Mr. Smith. He actually..."

Sharon cut him off, "Mr. Harris, I won't. I just work at Silvercrest Group, not an actual employee. Unless I mess up, Mr. Smith has no right to boss me around."

Paul was left speechless and just sighed.

About ten minutes later, Leo and Seb came out. Sharon ignored Seb and walked into the office.

Seb's eyes darkened, but he stayed silent.

After Seb left, Leo returned to Sharon's desk.

"Sharon, we need to talk."

Sharon didn't look up. "If it's about earlier, no need. I did nothing wrong."

Nearby, Ashley perked up, sensing it had to do with Seb.

Leo sighed. "You're as stubborn as ever. I'm not lecturing you. Just saying you don't always have to be so strong. I can protect you."

Sharon frowned, feeling something off. "No need. I can handle it. I don't want to trouble anyone."

Leo's hand clenched, and he forced a smile. "I'm not 'anyone.' I'm your brother."

"Even so, it's not necessary. I'm taking a nap now. You should rest too."

Without noticing Leo's expression, Sharon took out a pillow and started napping.

Leo stood there for a few seconds before heading back to his desk.

The whole afternoon, Leo couldn't find a chance to talk to Sharon and had to give up.

As work ended, Sharon got a text from Seb.

Seb: [Come to my office. It's work-related.]

Sharon read it, replied indifferently, and left.

Seb waited for her reply. Within a minute, his phone beeped. He checked it and his face darkened.

Sharon replied: [Mr. Smith, it's after hrs. If it's work-related, cntct me tmrw during office hrs.]

Paul came in with documents and shivered at Seb's dark expression.

Since Seb's breakup, his mood had been unpredictable.

"Mr. Smith, these need your signature today."

Seb didn't respond, so Paul placed the documents on the desk and was about to leave.

Seb's cold voice stopped him.

"Send the important documents to my villa. The rest can wait until tomorrow."

Before Paul could turn around, he heard quick footsteps. Seb walked past him and left.

Watching Seb's hurried back, Paul knew Seb was going to find Sharon.

Seb drove straight to Sharon's hotel and dialed her number.

The phone rang for a while before Sharon answered, her voice cold. "Mr. Smith, it's after work hours."

She sounded impatient, clearly not wanting to talk.

Seb's eyes darkened. "I know. This is personal. I'm right outside your hotel."

Sharon chuckled mockingly. "If it's personal, I have nothing to say. I'm not coming down. Please leave."

She hung up.

When Seb tried calling again, he found he was blocked. His face darkened.

Since Sharon wouldn't come down, he decided to go up himself.

Just as Seb was about to get out of the car, his phone rang. It was Grace. After a moment of hesitation, he answered.

Soon, the black Maybach drove away from the hotel.

Around eight in the evening, Sharon was watching a show when she got a photo message from Ashley.

Sharon paused the video and opened the photo, her brows furrowing.

Ashley: [Sharon, Mr. Smith is unbelievable! He just dumped u & now he's out w/ Grace Hall. The paparazzi caught it all. Everyone at work is gossiping. I'm so mad!]

The photo showed Seb at a mall in Metropolis, carrying several high-end women's shopping bags, with Grace smiling beside him.

Sharon thought Seb's time management was impressive. He had just come to her hotel and now he was shopping with Grace. Busy guy.

Sharon replied: [No need to update me on this stuff. I'm not interested.]

She closed Facebook and resumed her video, but she was distracted.

Realizing she couldn't focus, Sharon turned off the video. She got up, walked to the window, and took a few deep breaths, trying to shake off her frustration, but it didn't help.

Thinking about how Seb had reconciled with Grace yet still came to find her, Sharon felt irritated.

'What does Seb want?' she wondered.

After pondering, Sharon decided to give Seb the cold shoulder, just like before. Otherwise, things would only get more complicated.

Early the next morning, as she went downstairs, Seb blocked her at the hotel entrance.

"Sharon, we need to talk."

Sharon's face was cold. "There's nothing to talk about. Stop bothering me."

Seb frowned. "If you stay away from Leo, I won't bother you for the next three months."

Sharon sneered. "He's my brother and colleague. Why should I stay away from him? You should stay away from me."

Her indifference cut Seb deeply.

"Sharon, he's your brother in name only. You're not related by blood."

"What are you implying?" Sharon looked at Seb, eyes filled with disbelief and anger. "Are you suggesting something between Leo and me?"

'Leo is my brother. How could Seb think so lowly of us!' she thought.

"I just don't want you getting too close to other men."

Sharon found it laughable. "Mr. Smith, do I need to remind you that we have no relationship now? What right do you have to tell me who I can be close to?"
