Chapter 331 If You Want to Hate, Hate Seb
Waking up again, Sharon found herself tied up on a bed, with no sign of Demetrius. The room looked like a bedroom, and it felt oddly familiar. She frowned, but before she could think more, the door opened, and Alex walked in, all suited up.
As soon as she saw Alex, her confusion turned to anger. "Alex, did you kidnap me and Demetrius? Where is he? If anything happens to him, I swear, neither I nor Seb will let you off!"
Alex squinted a bit, walked over to the bed, and sat down, looking at Sharon with this weird, deep affection. "Sharon, after all these years, we finally get to talk. Don't bring up Seb."
"Where's Demetrius?" Sharon demanded, her eyes blazing with anger and disgust. "I'm asking you, where is he?"
"Don't worry, he's safe for now," Alex replied.
"What do you want by kidnapping us? Are you out of your mind?" Sharon shot back.
Alex looked at her, his gaze almost creepy in its tenderness. "Sharon, I didn't mean to kidnap you. I just wanted to talk with you, but you never gave me the chance. As for the kid, we'll have one in the future."
Sharon's eyes widened in shock. "Alex, what are you planning to do to Demetrius? He's just a kid! If you want revenge, take it out on me! Don't hurt him!"
Sharon was in a rage, while Alex stayed calm, reaching out to touch Sharon's face. "Sharon, blame Seb. It's because Demetrius is Seb's son, and Seb is the one who blocked my path to becoming the president of the Smith Group. So, it's all Seb's fault. If you want to hate someone, hate Seb."
As his cold fingers touched her cheek, Sharon felt a slimy, nauseating sensation that made her shudder. Terror surged in her heart as she looked at Alex with pleading eyes. "Alex, Demetrius is my child. I carried him for nine months and gave birth to him. Please, don't hurt him. I'll do anything you want, just please don't hurt him!"
A smile played on Alex's lips as he leaned in close to Sharon's ear and whispered, "Sharon, don't lie to me. I know you too well. You're just stalling for time. Besides, I've already said, we'll have children in the future."
Despair flashed in Sharon's eyes as she kept trying to untie the ropes around her wrists, looking at Alex with disgust. "Alex, didn't you say you loved me? Is this your idea of love? Kidnapping me and Demetrius, and wanting to kill him? Your disgusting, twisted love makes me sick!"
His love, like him, was rotten to the core.
Alex was unfazed by her outburst; he was only interested in having Sharon. As for love, he believed they could develop it over time.
"Sharon, save your energy. No matter what you say, I won't change my mind. Once the Metropolis situation is over, I'll take you abroad, to a place where no one can find us, and we'll live together."
Sharon looked at him with mockery in her eyes. "I'd rather die now than spend my life with you!"
Alex's face darkened, and his gaze turned icy. "Sharon, don't push me, or I don't know what I'll do." He grabbed her chin, speaking slowly and deliberately, "I planned for us to have a wedding after we go abroad, but if you want to start our wedding night now, I don't mind."
Seeing his eyes on her chest, Sharon felt so disgusted she almost threw up. "Get away from me!"
"It seems I need to teach you a lesson!" Alex sneered.
Just as he was about to unbutton her clothes, his phone rang. Seeing the caller ID, he let go of Sharon and straightened his clothes. "Wait for me."
Sharon turned her head away in disgust, not wanting to look at him. Alex didn't get mad and left the room.
As soon as the door closed, Sharon quickly untied the ropes around her wrists, loosened the ones around her ankles, and hid the bedside lamp behind her.
Before long, Alex came back. Seeing Sharon still sitting on the bed, he smirked and slowly approached her. "Sharon, let's pick up where we left off. If everything goes well, we can go abroad tonight. Where do you want to..."
Before he could finish, a heavy blow struck his forehead, and blood instantly trickled from the corner of his eye. Before he could react, a second blow landed hard. His vision blurred, and he collapsed to the ground.
With a fierce look in her eyes, Sharon quickly got off the bed and tied Alex up. After making sure he was out cold, she didn't let her guard down and tied the knots tightly. She then took his phone from his pocket and dialed Seb's number with trembling hands.
"Seb, Alex kidnapped me and Demetrius. I don't know where he took Demetrius. Please try to find out. I'm scared something will happen to him," Sharon said, her voice tinged with sobs.
If anything happened to Demetrius, she couldn't go on living.
Seb's steady voice came through, calming her. "Don't worry, I've already sent people to look for him. Demetrius will be fine. How did you get Alex's phone? Where is he now?"
"I knocked him out and tied him up. I don't know when he'll wake up," Sharon replied.
"Okay, I understand. Find a safe place to hide. I'll be there soon. If you're scared, keep the phone line open," Seb instructed.
"No need. I'm fine. I'm just worried about Demetrius," Sharon said.
"I promise, nothing will happen to Demetrius. Just protect yourself and wait for me," Seb reassured her.
Seb's steady voice gradually calmed Sharon's frantic heart, making her feel less scared. After hanging up, Sharon took a deep breath to calm herself and began checking Alex's phone and messages, but found nothing.
As she hesitated whether to wake Alex and ask where Demetrius was, the phone rang. Seeing the unmarked number, Sharon answered, and an angry voice came through, "That little brat escaped through the window when we weren't looking! But the room he was in is on the third floor, so he must be injured and can't have gone far. I'll break his legs when I catch him and throw him in the river to drown after we get him!"
