Chapter 551 To Know His Every Move

After placing their order, Sharon handed the menu to Seb and waited for him to finish before speaking. "Hey, I told Sophie about our marriage today. I'm thinking of inviting her and Randy over for dinner in a few days."

Seb nodded. "Sure, whatever you think is best."

"And when do you have time to visit my dad and tell him about this?"

"I might be a bit tied up these next couple of days. How about Saturday?"

"That works."

Seb looked at Sharon seriously. "Sharon, I'm really sorry for putting you through all this. Once things settle down, I'll make it up to you with a proper wedding."

Seeing the guilt and sadness in his eyes, Sharon held his hand. "I told you, I don't care about that. As long as the three of us are together, that's all that matters."

"But I still feel like I'm letting you down."

Because he loved her, he didn't want her to suffer even a little, and it pained him to see her hurt.

"Enough of that. Today is our wedding day. Let's not talk about this. We're here to celebrate, so let's be happy."

"Okay."

After dinner, Seb drove Sharon to the riverside.

Sharon looked at him, puzzled. "Why aren't we going home?"

"There's one more thing we need to do."

"What is it?"

Just as she asked, fireworks suddenly lit up the night sky not far away.

She instinctively turned her head and widened her eyes in surprise.

"Did you arrange this?"

"Yeah, I hope you like it."

"Thank you, I love it."

Sharon didn't say anything more, turning her attention to the fireworks that filled the sky just for her.

Seb stood beside her, quietly watching her.

In a nearby riverside restaurant, Jesse and Alton sat across from each other.

Hearing the fireworks, they both turned their heads.

Jesse smiled. "These fireworks are beautiful, Mr. Roach. What do you think?"

Alton looked at him coldly. "If my information is correct, they registered their marriage today. Haven't you always wanted to marry Sharon? How can you still smile?"

Sharon and Seb had been together for so long without getting married, and now, with Silvercrest Group on the brink of bankruptcy, Sharon choosing to marry him clearly showed her stance.

She wouldn't break up with Seb!

Jesse raised an eyebrow. "Mr. Roach, people can get divorced even after getting married. As long as the end result is what I want, the process doesn't matter."

"Fine, I'll wait for your end result."

No matter what, Sharon and Demetrius had to go to Stellaria, or the Stoll family would fall into the hands of Jeremy's lover.

That was an unacceptable outcome for Carolyn and the Roach family.

"Alright, but I hope you won't interfere when I take action, Mr. Roach."

"If you do anything to harm Sharon or Demetrius, I won't let you off!"

Jesse took a sip of his drink and raised an eyebrow. "You can rest assured, Mr. Roach. My goal is to become Sharon's fiancé. Hurting her or Demetrius wouldn't benefit me at all."

"You better keep your word!"

With that, Alton stood up and left.

Jesse glanced at the still-ongoing fireworks, smirked, downed his drink, and left.

By the time Sharon and Seb returned home, it was already past ten at night.

As soon as they walked into the living room, Seb's phone rang.

Seeing it was Paul, Seb's expression darkened. He looked at Sharon and said, "I need to take this call. You go on up and get some rest. Don't wait up for me."

Sharon nodded. "Okay, but don't work too late."

"I know."

He answered the call and walked towards the study. Whatever Paul said made him pause for a moment before quickening his pace.

Once he closed the study door, he spoke coldly. "Are you sure?"

Paul's voice was clear in the quiet study. "Yes, Mr. Smith. I got the surveillance footage. Ms. Smith did meet with Jesse the night before last."

Seb lowered his gaze and took a moment before speaking. "I see. For now, act like we don't know anything and watch her next moves."

"Understood."

After hanging up, Seb tossed his phone on the desk and let out a cold laugh.

It seemed Bernice was planning to betray him; otherwise, she wouldn't be involved with Jesse.

In the following days, Paul worked hard to gather substantial evidence of the Bridges Group's criminal activities.

When Paul handed the evidence to Seb, he asked, "Mr. Smith, should we turn this over to the police?"

"Not yet. First, contact Garry and have him come over."

Within an hour, Garry arrived, looking extremely displeased.

When Paul had called him, he hadn't planned on coming. After all, when the Bridges Group sided with Jesse, they had openly opposed Seb.

But just as he was about to hang up, Paul mentioned that if he didn't come, the evidence they had gathered about the Bridges Group's illegal activities would be sent to the police.

Left with no choice, he came.

Sitting across from Seb, Garry spoke in a low voice. "Mr. Smith, I didn't intend to get involved in your conflict with Jesse, but Jesse attacked the Bridges Group's firewall. If I didn't agree to his terms, the Bridges Group would go bankrupt within a day. I was forced into this."

Seb looked at Garry's angry face with indifference. "Mr. Bridges, that's your problem, not mine. And if I remember correctly, if it weren't for Silvercrest Group, the Bridges Group would have gone bankrupt long ago."

Now, to keep his company afloat, he had teamed up with Jesse to target Silvercrest Group.

It seemed Seb had been too lenient before, making Garry think he was easy to bully.

"Mr. Smith, I told you I was forced. I couldn't just watch the Bridges Group go bankrupt."

He was forced into this. If Jesse hadn't threatened him, he wouldn't have opposed Seb.

Seb nodded. "You can choose to side with Jesse against Silvercrest Group. But when Silvercrest Group hands over the Bridges Group's criminal evidence to the police to protect itself, I hope you understand."

Garry's face darkened, and he gritted his teeth. "Mr. Smith, are you sure you want to push me?"

"I'm not pushing you. You're facing a choice. No matter which side you pick, the Bridges Group will go bankrupt. Instead of blaming Jesse for dragging you into our fight, you blame me for defending against the Bridges Group. Isn't that a bit unreasonable?"

Seeing he couldn't win the argument, Garry coldly asked, "What do you want? If you really intended to bankrupt the Bridges Group, you wouldn't have called me here."

Seb smiled slightly. "Mr. Bridges, you're a smart man. I want you to continue working with Jesse, but I also need to know his every move."
