Chapter 387 Your Intentions Are Too Obvious

Sharon felt his warm fingers running through her hair. Her hand on the table clenched up, and her whole body went stiff.

"How about I do it myself?"

Just as she was about to turn around, Seb's hand landed on her shoulder.

"I'll do it."

His voice was low but had that no-arguing tone. Sharon pressed her lips together and didn't push it.

Suddenly, the only sound in the room was the hairdryer. After about ten minutes, the hairdryer finally stopped.

Seb said, "Alright, take a look."

Sharon reached up to touch her hair. It was smooth and dry. She turned to look at Seb.

"Thanks."

Seb looked down at her, his eyes briefly flicking over her V-neck nightgown before quickly looking away.

"Let's go downstairs for dinner."

"It's too late now. I'm not eating tonight."

Sharon wanted to keep her figure, so she couldn't eat anything after 8 PM.

"Dana said you've been really tired lately and made some of your favorite dishes. Are you sure you want to waste her effort?"

Meeting Seb's questioning eyes, Sharon frowned. "Fine, you go down first. I'll change and come down."

"Alright, I'll wait for you."

After Seb left, Sharon opened the wardrobe and took out a long black dress.

As she changed, the scene of Seb pressing her against the bathroom door and kissing her flashed through her mind, making her heart race.

She couldn't keep thinking about it.

Sharon patted her flushed face, calmed her nerves, and walked out of the bedroom.

Entering the dining room, Sharon sat across from Seb, and Dana brought out the dishes that had been kept warm.

When Dana's and Sharon's eyes met, Dana's eyes flashed with a hint of amusement.

Seb and Sharon had been upstairs for so long; something must have happened. Otherwise, Seb wouldn't be in such a good mood, and Sharon wouldn't have a flushed face.

If Seb and Sharon had a few more intimate encounters, maybe Demetrius would have a sibling next year.

Sharon had no idea what Dana was thinking. She looked down at the utensils in front of her, not daring to meet Seb's eyes.

The moment she saw Seb, inappropriate scenes would involuntarily pop into her mind.

She didn't know what was wrong with her.

"Mr. Smith, Ms. Roach, the dishes are all served."

Seb nodded. "Alright."

Seeing Sharon with her head down, Seb frowned. "Are you planning to eat with your forehead?"

Sharon remained silent.

Reluctantly, Sharon lifted her head. The moment she met Seb's eyes, she quickly looked away.

Seeing Sharon like this, Seb couldn't help but tease her. "Are you shy?"

Sharon gritted her teeth and snapped, "Who's shy? Stop talking nonsense!"

Seb's lips curled into a pleased smile. "You say you're not shy, but why are you blushing?"

Sharon instinctively touched her face, which was indeed a bit warm.

Meeting Seb's teasing eyes, Sharon stubbornly said, "I didn't have time to dry my hair earlier, so I might have caught a chill."

Seeing even her earlobes blushing, Seb stopped teasing her. "I guess I have flattered myself. Let's eat."

After dinner, just as Sharon was about to leave, Seb suddenly said, "I heard you gave all your savings from the past few years to Sophie. Is that true?"

Sharon paused, surprised. "How did you know?"

"Someone told me."

"Yeah, why do you ask? Is there something you need?"

"Nothing, just checking if you're really that foolish."

Sharon glared at Seb. "It's my money. How I spend it is none of your business."

"Of course, but you should be prepared to lose it all."

"Don't worry. When I lent it to her, I didn't expect her to pay it back."

If Sharon could lend the money, she had to be prepared for Sophie not to repay it. Otherwise, she'd only be torturing herself.

Seb raised an eyebrow, surprised that Sharon would go to such lengths for Sophie.

"But with me around, I won't let your money go to waste."

Sharon was stunned and looked up at him. "What do you mean by that? Are you planning to help the Lee Group?"

"No, I'm doing it for you."

Sharon gritted her teeth. "Your intentions are too obvious."

Seb nodded. "I don't deny it. I'm helping the Lee Group because I want you to be grateful to me. After all, I want to pursue you."

"Don't you think it would be more effective to do it quietly and let Sophie tell me?"

Seb's lips curled into a smile. "It would be, but I can't wait. Besides, you'll be thinking about me tonight."

At 2 AM, Sharon was still awake.

Staring at the dark ceiling, Sharon cursed Seb in her mind.

Seb's words had indeed kept her thinking about him all night, resulting in her insomnia.

Damn Seb did it on purpose!

But for some reason, Sharon felt a hint of sweetness from it. She covered her face with a pillow, forcing herself not to think about him.

However, the more she tried not to think about him, the more his face and their recent interactions kept popping into her mind.

The next morning, Sharon came downstairs with dark circles under her eyes.

Seeing her tired face, clearly from a lack of sleep, Seb smiled slightly.

"Morning," he greeted.

Sharon gave him a resentful look and said nothing.

If it weren't for him, she wouldn't have fallen asleep just before dawn. So now, she was very resentful towards Seb, the culprit.

Seb, on the other hand, seemed completely unaware and continued to chat with her as usual.

Sharon responded half-heartedly, looking a bit listless.

When she didn't sleep well at night, she had no energy in the morning and no appetite. After a few sips of milk, she put down the cup. "I'm done eating."

Seb glanced at her untouched breakfast and said to Dana, "Get a food box and pack the breakfast."

"No need, I can't eat," Sharon said.

"Pack it first. If you can't eat it later, throw it away," Seb said.

"Alright," Sharon said.

Dana packed the breakfast, and Seb picked it up, looking at Sharon. "Let's go."

Seb and Sharon walked out of the villa one after the other. As soon as they got in the car, Sharon's phone rang. It was a call from Sophie.

As soon as she answered, Sophie's somewhat dejected voice came through.

"Sharon, do you have time this afternoon? I have something to talk to you."
