Chapter 328 Are You Planning to Get Back Together with Seb?

Paul glanced at her, feeling a bit guilty. "Anyway, I still hope you and Mr. Smith can work things out."

Sharon smiled. "The best outcome for us is to just stay out of each other's way."

Paul stayed quiet for a moment, then left without another word.

Sharon was now super cautious about Seb. As an outsider, saying too much would only make things worse between her and Seb. It was better to let things play out naturally. If they were meant to be, they'd find their way back to each other.

Not long after Paul left, Sophie showed up with a bunch of toys for Demetrius.

Sharon was stunned at the sight of all the bags. "Did you really need to buy so much? This could last Demetrius a whole year."

Sophie put the stuff down and gave her a side-eye. "This is nothing. I have plenty more at home. I couldn't bring everything today, but I'll have the butler pack and send the rest tomorrow. I want to make up for all the toys Demetrius missed over the past five years, including birthday presents."

Sharon stayed silent.

Just as Sharon was about to say there was no need to waste money, Sophie called out to Demetrius. "Demetrius, come here. I got you a toy car you can actually ride. Come and see if you like it. If you don't, I'll get you another one."

Demetrius didn't move but looked up at Sharon, waiting for her opinion.

Sharon smiled, patted his head, and said, "Go ahead, Ms. Lee likes you a lot. See what gifts she brought you."

Sophie let Demetrius unwrap the toys himself and walked over to sit next to Sharon.

Sophie said, "Sharon, I was too emotional last night and didn't get a good look at you."

She stared at Sharon seriously for a while, her eyes brimming with tears. "You've lost weight."

Sharon replied, "I lost weight to look good in clothes. You don't know how fat I was after giving birth to Demetrius. It took me over a year to lose the weight."

Sophie raised an eyebrow and snorted. "I missed such a big event—your having a baby!"

As she thought about it, she grew angry.

Seeing her angry face, Sharon hooked her arm and said, "Don't be mad. I'm right here in front of you."

Sophie watched Demetrius quietly unwrapping the toys and found herself growing increasingly fond of him. She thought it would be even better if he looked more like Sharon. With his head down, he looked almost exactly like Seb, but luckily, he didn't have Seb's constant stern expression, which made him much cuter.

Sophie asked, "By the way, are you planning to get back together with Seb?"

Seeing the curious gleam in Sophie's eyes, Sharon couldn't help but find it amusing.

Sharon replied, "You're overthinking it. I have a boyfriend now, and you know him. You were the one who introduced us."

Sophie pointed at herself in surprise. "Me? We haven't seen each other in five years. How could I introduce you to a boyfriend?"

"Think carefully," Sharon prompted.

Sophie began to recall what happened five years ago. She had spent the last five years keeping herself busy to avoid thinking about Sharon, because thinking about Sharon would make her break down emotionally. Now, Sophie honestly couldn't recall if she had introduced anyone to Sharon five years ago.

Suddenly, her eyes widened, and she stammered, "Don't tell me your boyfriend is Zachary?"

Sharon smiled slightly and nodded. "Congratulations, you got it right."

"You actually got together with him!" Sophie raised her voice.

She was shocked and couldn't help but grit her teeth in anger. Over the years, the Lee Group and the Cook Group had been collaborating. When Zachary came to Metropolis, she would occasionally have dinner with him. She never expected Zachary to keep Sharon's whereabouts from her!

"So, Zachary's been helping you keep your identity under wraps for the past five years?" Sophie asked.

"Yeah, so I really owe you one. If you hadn't introduced me to Zachary back then, I wouldn't be where I am today," Sharon said.

Sophie felt a mix of emotions and a bit of lingering fear. "I'm glad I introduced him to you back then. Otherwise, you would have had it even tougher these past years. But still, I can't forgive him for keeping you being alive a secret from me for five years. He owes me a big meal to make up for it!" Sophie said through gritted teeth.

Sharon said, "Okay."

"But, if you're with Zachary, why are you still living in Seb's villa with Demetrius? Won't Zachary get jealous?" Sophie asked curiously.

Sharon's eyes dimmed a bit, and she looked down. "It's complicated. I owe Zachary an explanation. I'll fill you in another day. Let's talk about you. What's going on with you and Randy? He seems to care a lot about you. When did you start liking younger guys?"

Sophie was silent for a moment, then rolled her eyes and said irritably, "Don't even get me started. I'm so annoyed. I've told Randy a million times that I'm not interested, but he just won't give up."

Sharon looked puzzled. "I've only met Randy a few times, but he seems like a nice guy with a good personality."

Sophie replied, "So what? I need a marriage partner now, not just a boyfriend."

She was six years older than Randy.

"How do you know he can't be a marriage partner?" Sharon retorted.

Sophie explained, "His social media is full of gym selfies and party pics. How could he suddenly settle down and get married? We clearly want different things."

If Randy knew that the photos he carefully posted to attract Sophie's attention were being interpreted by her as evidence that he wasn't ready for marriage and just wanted to play with her feelings, he would definitely feel like crying. If he knew Sophie's true thoughts, he would immediately buy a ring and propose to her.

Sharon said, "Alright then."

Sharon didn't feel she had the right to give advice on relationships, considering her own love life was a mess.

Sophie said, "Alright, let's not talk about Randy anymore. We haven't seen each other in five years. Let's have dinner tonight and celebrate. By the way, is it okay to leave Demetrius at home?"

The place she planned to go wasn't suitable for bringing Demetrius along.

Sharon replied, "It's not a problem, but tonight might not work."

"Why?" Sophie asked.

Sharon pursed her lips and was about to speak when she suddenly saw a tall figure walk into the living room out of the corner of her eye, and her body stiffened.

After Dana interrupted Seb and Sharon's argument, Seb had returned to his study with a cold face. Sharon had been on edge all afternoon, not knowing if Seb still planned to send Demetrius away.

Sharon said, "I have something to do tonight, and I also have some work matters to deal with. Once I sort everything out, we can go out and celebrate."

Sophie looked disappointed but nodded. "Alright then."

As Sophie and Sharon were talking, Seb had already walked over to the sofa, and Sophie noticed him. Sophie turned her head and saw Seb's still slightly red cheek, and a hint of guilt flashed in her eyes. The slap she gave him last night seemed to have been quite severe, as his face hadn't healed yet.

Suddenly, Sophie felt uneasy. She waved at Seb, grabbed her bag, and stood up with a forced smile. "Sharon, I just remembered I have something to take care of. Get in touch when you're free; I'm always available. I'll go now. Bye."
