Chapter 193 Even in Death, I Won't Let You Go!
Seb's jaw clenched, eyes blazing with anger.
"You came after me first. I'll decide when it ends."
Sharon glared at him. "Seb, you're being ridiculous. You don't even like me. If you did, you wouldn't have gone back to Grace. Now you're bugging me again. Do you want me to be your side piece?"
Seb's eyes were cold. "I told you, give me three months."
"And I told you, no. If you feel any guilt, leave me alone."
Sharon grabbed her bag and stormed out. She only calmed down once she got back to her car.
In the restaurant, Seb sat there, tense and radiating coldness.
His phone rang.
"Mr. Smith, come back to the Smith Mansion immediately!" a panicked voice said.
Over an hour later, Seb arrived at the Smith Mansion.
He walked into the living room and saw Alex on the floor, disheveled, soaked, and covered in whip marks.
Seb's expression stayed indifferent as he looked from Alex to Tyler, who was fuming in the main seat.
"What happened?"
Tyler threw the blood-stained whip to the ground. "You don't know? You and Alex, one messing with Sharon, the other marrying Ava. Are you trying to drive me nuts?"
"Didn't you already know?"
"You!"
'How did I end up with such a jerk!' Tyler thought angrily.
Suppressing his rage, Tyler glared at Seb. "I called you here to ask about something else."
Seb sat down opposite Tyler, looking relaxed. "What is it?"
"Alex said you knew Zephyr Enterprises kidnapped him, and instead of helping, you told them to leave him barely alive?"
Seb glanced at Alex, who looked away guiltily.
Seb chuckled. "Yeah, so what?"
"Alex is family! No matter how mad you are, you shouldn't let him die!"
Seb raised an eyebrow. "Didn't you say you wanted to cut ties with me and kick me out of the family? So, technically, he's not my family, right?"
Tyler was speechless for a moment, then snapped, "I was just angry!"
"Oh."
Tyler's barely controlled anger flared up again at Seb's indifferent tone.
"What do you mean by that attitude?"
"Nothing. Since Alex complained, did he also tell you he signed contracts with major companies under Silvercrest Group's name, including Zephyr Enterprises?"
"What?"
Tyler glared at Alex, furious. "You did that?"
Alex not only endangered himself but also Seb's company.
Terrified, Alex trembled and pleaded, "Grandpa, I know I was wrong. I was just being foolish. Please forgive me."
"How many times have you messed up recently? Every time, it's the same excuse. How did I raise such an idiot like you!"
Tyler was genuinely disheartened. He had planned to let Alex return to the Smith group, but now he had changed his mind.
If Alex came back, the company might go bankrupt one day.
"Go home. Don't come to the Smith Mansion anymore. Your problems are no longer my concern."
Realizing Tyler was truly disappointed, Alex's eyes filled with panic. He quickly crawled forward and hugged Tyler's leg.
"Grandpa, I really know I was wrong. Please forgive me this time. I'll do better from now on."
Tyler looked down at Alex, his eyes cold.
"I've given you too many chances, but you never learn. From now on, you're on your own."
With that, Tyler stood up and left.
Alex got up to chase after him but was stopped by the servants.
"Mr. Alex Smith, please leave."
"Move!"
Alex's tone was commanding, but the servants didn't budge.
Seb got up to leave, and as he passed by Alex, he coldly warned, "Don't try anything. Otherwise, you won't even keep the companies David gave you."
Alex turned, eyes bloodshot. "If you touch my companies, I won't let you go, even if I die!"
Seb sneered. "I'm not interested in your companies and can't be bothered."
Without the Smith family backing him, Alex wouldn't last long if he crossed the wrong people.
This time, Zephyr Enterprises didn't kill him partly because they feared the Smith family.
After Seb left, the servants escorted Alex out of the Smith Mansion.
Alex knelt at the gate for hours until he passed out, but Tyler didn't care.
When Alex woke up, it was already dark. The lights at the gate were on, but the door stayed shut.
Clearly, even if he died kneeling there, Tyler wouldn't see him.
Alex's eyes turned cold. He got up to leave when a black Range Rover stopped in front of him.
Randy got out, a smile on his lips.
"Alex, how did you end up like this?"
Seeing the mockery in Randy's eyes, Alex gritted his teeth. "Randy, don't get cocky. You're not qualified to be the general manager of the Smith group!"
Randy was unfazed. "Alex, worry about yourself. After this, Grandpa will never let you return to the Smith group. Focus on running the two small companies David left you. If they go bankrupt, you'll have nothing."
"Just you wait!"
Randy raised an eyebrow and smiled. "I've got dinner with Grandpa to discuss work, so I won't waste time talking to you."
With that, he walked past Alex and left.
Seeing the servants open the door for Randy, Alex's hands clenched tightly, eyes filled with resentment.
Watching the door close, Alex didn't approach again and turned to leave.
One day, he would make the Smith family beg him to come back!
When he got home, Ava's face lit up with joy, "Alex, you're back. Your injuries..."
Before she could finish, Alex slapped her.
"Ava, if it weren't for you, I wouldn't be in this mess. My biggest regret is falling for your tricks, you bitch!"
