Chapter 172 Disliking Other Women Entangling Seb

Chris's eyes flashed with sarcasm. "So you can talk about Grace, but I can't talk about you?"

Rebecca stood up, sneering. "You think defending Grace for Seb will get you a partnership with Silvercrest Group? Fool!"

Chris felt exposed and his face turned ugly.

"I think you're just lashing out because of unrequited love."

"You!"

Rebecca's face turned red with anger. She stood up and said coldly, "You'll regret this!"

She stormed out of the private room.

Seb watched the whole scene with an indifferent expression, showing no emotion.

The room quickly returned to its lively state, as if nothing had happened.

But Grace couldn't calm down. In the past, if someone badmouthed her and Seb found out, he wouldn't let it slide.

But just now, Rebecca called her a mistress right in front of Seb, and he did nothing.

It seemed Seb really didn't love her anymore.

If it weren't for her leveraging the favor of saving Seb's life, he probably wouldn't even let her near him now.

Thinking of this, Grace felt a tightness in her chest.

She stood up and forced a smile. "You guys continue, I'm going to the restroom."

After leaving the room, Grace took a deep breath, trying to shake off her frustration, but it was useless.

She walked to the window at the end of the corridor, took out a cigarette, lit it, and took a puff, her expression full of irritation.

Grace thought, 'Whether Seb loves me or not, I have to marry him!'

Meanwhile, Rebecca walked out of the private room, still fuming. She was about to leave when she saw Sharon by the window.

Rebecca squinted and walked straight towards Sharon.

Sharon was talking with Sophie when they were interrupted.

Seeing it was Rebecca, Sharon's face turned cold and she said nothing.

She and Rebecca had almost had a falling out and didn't intend to pretend to be polite.

Rebecca didn't care about Sharon's coldness. She curled her lips and said slowly, "Ms. Wright, I really admire your composure."

Sharon's expression was indifferent. "Miss Walker, don't you know it's rude to interrupt our meal?"

"Is Miss Wright so angry because Seb kicked you out as soon as Grace returned?"

Rebecca's tone was full of sarcasm, and her eyes were filled with disdain.

She thought Seb liked Sharon a lot, but it seemed that wasn't the case. Otherwise, he wouldn't have gotten back together with Grace.

Sharon frowned but hadn't spoken yet when Sophie couldn't hold back.

"Rebecca, are you crazy, coming to bother us while we're eating? Even if Sharon and Seb broke up, at least they were together. You tried so hard to get Seb's attention, but he wouldn't even look at you, right?"

Sophie's words hit Rebecca's sore spot. She sneered. "So what if they were together? Seb abandoned her after a few days. To him, she was just a distraction while Grace was away!"

Sophie slammed her utensils on the table and glared at Rebecca. "If you keep acting crazy here, I'll shut you up real quick!"

Rebecca gave her a fake smile and said sarcastically, "I'm just telling the truth. By the way, Seb is hosting a welcome party for Grace in private room number one. If you don't want to embarrass yourselves, you'd better leave after eating."

Rebecca lifted her chin and left with a smile.

Sophie was trembling with anger and stood up to head towards private room number one.

Sharon quickly got up and pulled her back. "Sophie, don't go."

"Let go of me. I have to ruin this welcome party today. Grace just got back, and Seb broke up with you. It's outrageous!"

"I was the one who suggested the breakup. I don't want any more contact with them."

"Even if you suggested it, Seb did something wrong first. Are you just going to let it slide?"

Sophie looked at Sharon, feeling both angry and heartbroken.

"What else can I do? He doesn't love me anymore. Can I put a knife to his throat and make him change his mind?"

Sharon's expression remained calm, as if she were talking about something unrelated to herself.

It was her own naivety, believing Seb truly liked her and wouldn't hurt her like Alex did.

Sophie looked down and saw Sharon's hand tightly gripping her own, turning a bit pale. She sighed. "Fine. I won't cause a scene."

"Really?"

Sophie nodded. "Yes."

People always trample on the weak and flatter the strong. Even if they caused a scene now, those people would only laugh at Sharon.

Sharon let go of her and said softly, "Don't take it too seriously. I've already thought it all through."

It was just that occasionally, when she thought of Seb, she still felt sad.

"Alright, let's not talk about it. Let's talk about something happy."

After changing the topic, although Sharon was still responding to Sophie, she was clearly a bit absent-minded.

Sharon mused, 'So Seb brought Grace here tonight to host a welcome party for her. It seems Seb really loved Grace. Otherwise, he wouldn't have been thinking about her all these years, and as soon as Grace returned, Seb would be inseparable from her. That's good. Compared to me, Grace is indeed more suitable for Seb.'

Sophie also noticed Sharon's distraction but didn't point it out, just feeling heartache.

After several instances of not catching what Sophie said, Sharon took a deep breath and stood up. "Sophie, I'm going to the restroom."

Sharon quickly walked to the restroom, washed her face with cold water, and finally felt a bit more awake.

Just as Sharon straightened up and wiped the water off her face, the restroom door opened, and Grace walked out.

Seeing Sharon, Grace's eyes flickered. She walked to the sink and turned on the faucet to wash her hands.

Sharon threw the half-wet paper towel into the trash can and was about to leave when Grace suddenly spoke, "Ms. Wright, hello, I'm Grace Hall. You should have heard of me."

"Do you need something?"

Sharon turned back, looking at her coldly.

Grace turned off the faucet, lightly shook the water off her hands, and smiled. "Not really. I just heard that you dated Seb, so I was curious. But now that I'm back, I hope you can keep your distance from Seb."

"After all, I don't like other women entangling with Seb. If I get angry, things could get ugly."

Sharon was amused. "You should save that for Seb. Unlike you, I'm not interested in stealing other people's boyfriends."

Sharon originally had no feelings towards Grace. After all, if Seb hadn't given Grace the chance, no matter what Grace did, it wouldn't have affected her relationship with Seb.

But Grace's words just now made Sharon feel disgusted.

She could be sure that Grace knew her from the beginning and deliberately returned at this time.

Grace's expression changed, then she laughed. "Ms. Wright, I met Seb ten years ago. I didn't even know where you were back then. We're just getting back together, not stealing."

"Even if you knew him for a hundred years, when you came back, I was still his girlfriend."

Grace raised an eyebrow confidently. "You're just a stepping stone in my relationship with Seb. I hope you know your place and don't make trouble for yourself."

"What if I don't?"

"If you don't? This is the consequence!"

"Sharon, what are you doing!"

The sound of a head hitting the wall was accompanied by an angry voice behind her. Before Sharon could react, she was pushed away.
