Chapter 149 Moved to Seb's Villa

"No need, I'll handle it."

As Sharon was about to get up, a pair of hands gently pushed her back down.

"Stay put, I'll take care of it."

Meeting his determined gaze, Sharon nodded instinctively.

Seb patted her head and smiled. "Good girl."

Sharon was speechless.

Seb moved quickly, and soon, a delicious aroma filled the air. Sharon's mouth watered as she headed towards the kitchen.

She hadn't eaten dinner and was starving.

Just as she reached the kitchen door, Seb came out with the food.

"Why are you here?"

Sharon's eyes were glued to the food in his hands. Seb had made a bowl of spaghetti, and it looked amazing.

Seeing Sharon's focus entirely on the spaghetti, Seb chuckled.

"Grab a fork."

Sharon quickly went into the kitchen, grabbed a fork, and sat at the dining table. She looked at Seb and said, "Thanks, Uncle Seb."

Seb didn't correct her, just nodded. "Eat up."

Sharon took a bite and her eyes lit up.

"This is so good!"

"Slow down, no one's taking it from you. Don't burn yourself."

Sharon nodded but kept eating quickly.

In less than ten minutes, she finished the bowl.

Still feeling a bit unsatisfied, she asked, "Uncle Seb, how are you such a good cook?"

She had expected something unappetizing but was pleasantly surprised.

"I can only make spaghetti."

Before Sharon could respond, Seb's phone vibrated.

He answered, his expression turning serious. "I'll be right there."

After hanging up, Seb looked at Sharon. "Something came up at work. Go to bed early, don't wait up."

"But your back injury..."

"I'll be careful."

Watching Seb leave in a hurry, Sharon felt a trace of worry.

She cleaned up the dishes, washed them, and went to her bedroom. After a shower, she was about to sleep when she got a message from Karen.

[Sharon, your dad was just upset today. Don't take it to heart. I support your decision to go abroad. Let me know when you're ready, and we'll leave anytime.]

Sharon's face was expressionless.

Karen was probably in a hurry to leave because she feared the Smith family might retaliate.

But it made sense. To Karen, Sharon was just a stepdaughter. She didn't want to be dragged into any trouble.

Sharon: [Okay.]

After a while, Sharon replied and then deleted the chat.

On the other side, Karen sighed in relief after receiving Sharon's reply. She quickly dialed another number.

"Leo, Robert and I will be going to Stellaria soon."

A deep, young male voice responded, "Mom, why so sudden?"

"Robert needs treatment abroad. I'll have Sharon find a hospital near you so I can take care of both you and Robert."

There was a brief silence before Leo's voice came through again, "How's Sharon doing now?"

Karen sighed. "Don't get me started. She divorced Alex, and also..."

Leo interrupted, "She got divorced?"

Karen didn't catch the excitement in his tone and frowned. "Yes, it's complicated. I'll explain when I get to Stellaria."

"Alright."

After a few more words, Karen hung up.

Thinking about reuniting with Leo in Stellaria, Karen couldn't help but smile.

Once she and Robert were in Stellaria, Sharon's actions wouldn't affect them. She just needed to live a good life with Robert and Leo as a family of three.

As for Sharon, she never considered her part of the family.

She had only been polite to Sharon because of Robert.

Now that Sharon no longer respected her, she didn't need to please her anymore.

Inside the Smith Mansion, Tyler was furious knowing Seb had taken Sharon to his villa.

"This is outrageous. Does he really want to disgrace the Smith family?"

The lawyer sat nearby, eyes downcast, saying nothing.

He had visited David at the police station and knew the police had a lot of evidence, so they couldn't bail David out anytime soon.

Tyler had someone find out where Sharon was, planning to see her tonight. But when he found out she had moved to Seb's villa, he couldn't meet her without Seb knowing, which made him even angrier.

On the other side, Clara was in tears, her eyes red as she looked at Tyler. "Dad, when has David ever suffered like this? We must find a way to get him out. The longer he's in there, the worse it is for the Smith family."

Tyler gave her a cold look. "I don't need you to remind me!"

His face was dark, and he was seething with anger.

Not just the Smith family, but also the Smith group's business partners.

Although the Smith family had suppressed the news, there was no guarantee it wouldn't spread widely.

If the Smith group's partners found out, they might terminate their contracts, causing significant losses to the Smith group.

"Find a way to arrange a meeting with Sharon!"

The lawyer sighed. "Mr. Tyler, my assistant tried to approach her, but Mr. Seb's guys warned them to stay away. There's nothing I can do."

As his words landed, the atmosphere in the living room became heavy and stifling, making the air thick and hard to breathe.

Tyler's face was dark with anger, his eyes filled with rage.

Seb was really determined to oppose the Smith family for the sake of this woman, Sharon!

Tyler thought angrily, 'Seb is the one I had raised for nothing!'

Clara's eyes flashed with hatred, and she gritted her teeth. "Does that bitch think she's safe just because she's with Seb? If anything happens to David, I'll risk my life to make her pay!"

"Instead of saying useless things, think about how to meet her."

"Meeting her isn't a problem. I'll go find her myself. I don't believe I can't find a chance to see her if I wait at the Silvercrest Group's entrance!"

Tyler had just had a conflict with Seb today, and he didn't want to escalate the tension between them.

It was best if Clara was willing to be the bad guy.

Besides, it was only right for Clara to do something for David.

"Then do as you said. Once you get the chance, have her sign the letter of understanding."
