Chapter 253 As Long as You Marry Grace, I'll Leave the Edwards Group

Inside the CEO's office of the Edwards Group, Victor was chatting business with a partner when, bam, the door flew open, and in stormed Seb, looking like he was ready to freeze the room with his glare.

Dominic trailed behind, looking like he’d seen a ghost. "Mr. Edwards, I tried to stop him, but Mr. Smith wasn’t having it."

Victor shot a glance at Seb, who looked like he was about to explode, and said, "Got it. You can go."

The business partner, recognizing Seb and sensing the tension, quickly stood up. "Mr. Edwards, looks like you’re busy. We’ll catch up later."

Victor nodded, "Sure thing. See ya."

With just Seb and Victor left, the room felt like it was about to burst.

Victor eyed Seb, knowing the jig was up. Their years of friendship? Toast.

"Look, the car accident with Sharon, that’s on me. But I never meant for her to get hurt, Seb."

Before he could finish, Seb’s fist connected with his face.

Victor stumbled back, tasting blood. He wiped his mouth and looked up at Seb.

"Seb, I deserve whatever you throw at me. It’s all on me."

Seb smirked, a dangerous glint in his eyes. "This isn't over. From now on, the Edwards Group is going down. Hard."

Victor’s eyes widened in shock. "You can’t do this to me!"

Seb chuckled, eyes cold. "You set up Sharon to be kidnapped. Why can’t I do this to you?"

"I never wanted to hurt her. The car accident was just that—an accident! And I had no clue about the kidnapping."

"An accident?"

Seb’s smile turned icy, his gaze like a blade. "Then the Edwards Group’s bankruptcy will be an accident too."

The office door swung open again, and Grace stumbled in, looking like she’d been through hell.

Her clothes were a mess, hair all over the place, and she looked utterly wrecked.

Seeing Grace like this, Victor was stunned.

Grace’s eyes lit up with a flicker of hope when she saw Victor. She reached out, trembling. "Victor, help me."

Victor gritted his teeth and stepped in front of Grace. "Seb, Sharon’s accident was my fault. Leave Grace out of this."

Seb clapped, laughing. "You’re really something. But did you know she had your secretary do all sorts of shady stuff? Samuel, the guy you trusted, kidnapped Sharon under Grace’s orders and got her killed."

"What?"

Victor’s hand froze mid-air, his eyes wide with shock.

He stared at Grace, his voice tight. "Is what Seb said true?"

Grace couldn’t meet his eyes, tears streaming. "Victor, I lost it for a moment. I know I messed up. If you save me this time, I swear I’ll never leave you again, okay?"

"Never leave me again?" Victor’s face was unreadable.

Grace nodded quickly. "Yes, I promise!"

Suddenly, Victor laughed.

"But aren’t you about to die?"

Grace's face went pale. She tried to speak, but Victor cut her off, "You're a liar. Your cancer was a sham too, huh? How pathetic that I fell for someone like you!"

Victor finally got it—Grace never wanted him. She was just using him to get back with Seb.

He'd been a fool, thinking his silent devotion would mean something.

Seeing Victor's eyes turn icy, Grace clung to his leg. "Victor, I didn't lie. I really like you now. I did those things out of anger. I love you!"

With her leg busted, Grace couldn't even stand, just crawling at Victor's feet, tears streaming.

But now, she just looked pitiful. Victor felt nothing but disgust.

He kicked her away, eyes full of hatred. "Grace, my biggest regret is falling for you. Just looking at you makes me sick!"

Grace's face went white from the pain, but she still looked up at Victor, hoping he'd soften.

"Victor, I'm sorry. I know I messed up. Please forgive me."

With her leg broken, if Victor ditched her, she was done for.

"I'll never forgive you. Get out and never show your face again!"

Seb stood by, watching with a cold, emotionless stare.

Victor turned to Seb, eyes full of regret. "Seb, I know I don't deserve your forgiveness, but I'm sorry."

If he hadn't been blinded by Grace, making all those dumb moves, he and Seb would still be tight, and he wouldn't be in this mess.

Seb smirked, looking at Victor. "You don't owe me an apology; you owe Sharon. But I have a new idea. Marry Grace, and I'll spare the Edwards Group. Deal?"

Seb thought sarcastically, 'Victor's so crazy about Grace? Fine, let them be stuck together, hating each other forever.'

Victor's hand clenched, eyes full of struggle.

He thought, 'I wish Grace would just disappear. How can I marry her? But if I refuse, the Edwards Group is toast against Silvercrest Group, and I'll lose everything.'

Grace, lying on the ground, looked up sharply, eyes filled with joy and disbelief.

She thought, 'Seb still cares about me; otherwise, he wouldn't let me off so easy.'

After what felt like forever, Victor finally spoke. "Alright, I agree."

"Tomorrow's a good day. Have the wedding then. And make sure she never stands again."

A shadow crossed Victor's eyes, and he said in a deep voice, "I understand."

Seb glanced at Grace, a cruel smile on his lips, and walked out of the office.

Once they were alone, Grace cautiously looked up. "Victor, I..."

Victor didn't even look at her, calling Dominic into the office.

"Her leg's busted. She can't stand anymore. Send her to the hospital for amputation."
