Chapter 205 Is He Really the Only One for You?
Everyone stared at Sharon and Seb.
Grace bit her lip, eyes burning with anger. Seb had given the Tears of Eternity to Sharon in front of everyone!
Grace could already imagine the silent mockery from the crowd.
The more she thought about it, the more she hated Sharon.
After a few seconds of silence, the room buzzed with chatter.
"What's going on? Why would Seb give the Tears of Eternity to Sharon? I thought he was back with Grace?"
"Gross. Sharon just divorced Alex. Were she and Seb involved before the divorce?"
Hearing the gossip, Sophie turned pale with anger. "What are you talking about? Sharon divorced Alex because he cheated with Ava. This has nothing to do with Seb!"
Not many knew about Sharon and Seb's relationship. If Seb hadn't given her the jewelry tonight, she wouldn't be facing this gossip.
The person Sophie snapped at was stunned but was quickly pulled back by someone else.
"Are you nuts? If you offend Seb, you're done in Metropolis. Let's go!"
They quickly left through the side door, and the chatter in the hall died down. No one wanted to cross Seb.
Sharon looked at Seb, her eyes cold. "Mr. Smith, your girlfriend is over there."
She tried to walk past him, but Seb grabbed her hand. "Sharon, I know who I love."
Sharon frowned. "You really want to give me this jewelry?"
"Yes."
She chuckled, took the jewelry, and tossed it into a nearby trash can.
Seb's face darkened, and the room felt tense.
Sharon met his gaze coldly. "Mr. Smith, your so-called love means nothing to me. I'm not interested in a half-hearted man. Don't disgust me again!"
With each word, Seb's face got darker.
Sharon didn't look back and left with Sophie.
Even after they were gone, the room stayed silent, no one daring to breathe loudly. Seb's aura was terrifying.
Grace saw the jewelry she liked thrown away like trash and felt a surge of hatred.
Tears in her eyes, she approached Seb. "Seb, do you think I won't get angry? You humiliate me in front of everyone? I'm your girlfriend now. Giving Sharon jewelry in public will only spotlight her. You'll regret it!"
Desperate, Grace turned and ran out of the auction venue.
Meanwhile, Sharon and Sophie had just gotten back to the car.
Sophie was still agitated. "Sharon, Seb gave you jewelry in public, and your relationship is already a hot topic. This will cause a huge uproar tomorrow. Be prepared."
"And Grace must be furious. She might expose your relationship with Seb."
Sophie was worried and pretty ticked off at Seb.
Sharon and Seb had broken up, yet he still gave her jewelry in public! As the president of Silvercrest Group, no one dared to gossip in front of him, but did he ever think about what Sharon would go through?
Honestly, it was a good thing Sharon broke up with him. Being with such a controlling guy would have been tough.
Sharon sighed, "It's fine. I knew this day would come when I agreed to be with him."
She had once hoped Seb would stand by her side when this day came.
"Let's just get you home. If things blow up, we'll handle it then."
Sharon nodded. "Okay."
Back home, Sharon relaxed in the living room. Just as she was about to head to bed, the doorbell rang.
Seeing it was Leo, she remembered how he had bid up to ten billion dollars against Seb tonight and frowned.
'Could Leo really afford ten billion if Seb hadn't kept bidding?' she wondered.
She hesitated but decided not to open the door. It was late, and though Leo was her stepbrother, they weren't blood-related, so it was best to avoid private interactions.
Leo, seeing she didn't open the door, felt a pang of disappointment. It seemed Sharon was serious about cutting ties.
He clenched his fist, took a deep breath, and spoke through the door, "Sharon, I just wanted to warn you that the news about Seb giving you jewelry is out. Reporters might camp outside. If you're worried, stay at a hotel or a friend's place for a few days."
He waited a bit longer but got no response, so he left.
After Leo left, Sharon grabbed some clothes and headed for a shower. She did take his advice seriously; if reporters showed up, she'd stay somewhere else for a while.
Meanwhile, in a private room at a high-end bar, Grace was downing whiskey, her face streaked with tears. The table was littered with empty bottles.
Victor walked in, saw her red, swollen eyes, and felt a pang of heartache. He quickly took the bottle from her.
"Give it back!"
"Grace, you can't drink anymore. Your health isn't great."
Grace's eyes flashed with despair, and she smiled bitterly. "Even if I drank myself to death, Seb wouldn't care. What's the point of living? If you're my friend, give me the bottle!"
"I won't. Even if he doesn't love you, you should take care of yourself."
Grace looked up, tears streaming. "Do you know what happened tonight? Seb gave the jewelry he bought to Sharon in front of everyone, and she didn't even care."
"I can already hear people mocking me. Seb should love me, but everything changed just because I went abroad for a few years!"
Seeing Grace so heartbroken over Seb, Victor's grip on the bottle tightened.
"Is he really the only one for you?"
