Chapter 179 I Won't Let It Go Just Like That!

Not long after, Paul found out Alex was secretly meeting with the head of a company Silvercrest Group planned to partner with next month. He quickly told Seb.

"Mr. Seb Smith, Alex is meeting Mr. Perez at the Tea Tasting Pavilion at noon today."

Seb's eyes turned cold. "Book a table."

"Got it."

By noon, Alex arrived at the Tea Tasting Pavilion and bumped into Seb, his expression shifting.

"Uncle Seb, what brings you here?"

Seb raised an eyebrow and smirked. "If you can be here, why can't I?"

A flash of coldness crossed Alex's eyes, but he smiled. "Just didn't expect to see you here for lunch."

"Quite the coincidence."

They walked into the restaurant together. When Seb headed towards private room number eight, Alex's eyes darkened.

As Seb neared the door of room eight, Alex stepped forward to stop him.

"Uncle Seb, what's going on?"

Catching the guilt in Alex's eyes, Seb stayed indifferent. "What's the problem?"

Alex gritted his teeth. "I have a client meeting today. It's not appropriate for you to follow me around, Uncle Seb. We can reschedule lunch."

"You're overthinking it. I didn't plan to have lunch with you."

"Then why are you heading to the room I booked?"

Alex's eyes were filled with suspicion; he didn't believe Seb.

"Did you book room number nine?"

Alex was stunned and shook his head. "No, did you?"

"What else? Why are you so scared? Did you do something shady?"

Seb's cold eyes seemed to see right through Alex, making him nervous. He instinctively touched his nose.

"No, I just booked the room next to yours, so I overthought it. Don't mind me, Uncle Seb."

Seb didn't look at him again and walked into room number nine next door.

Alex sighed in relief but still felt uneasy. 'Is it really a coincidence that I arranged to meet Wayne here, and Seb also came here for lunch, and just happened to be in the next room?' Alex wondered.

Whether it was a coincidence or Seb's plan, he had to secure the deal with Wayne today!

Alex called Joseph and whispered, "Seb is in room number nine. Keep an eye on him and let me know when he leaves."

After hanging up, Alex entered room number eight.

After an hour of talking with Wayne, they had discussed almost everything. Alex still hadn't heard from Joseph about Seb leaving, making him anxious.

If he ran into Seb while seeing Wayne out, their deal could be at risk.

Despite his anxiety, Alex stayed calm and professional, continuing the discussion with Wayne.

Wayne had planned to leave, but Alex kept talking, so he patiently continued the conversation.

After more than ten minutes, seeing no signs of Alex stopping, Wayne said, "Mr. Smith, I have a flight at four this afternoon. We should wrap this up. My secretary will follow up on the details."

"What about signing the contract?"

"I'm heading to Stellaria today, so I can't sign the contract now. Have your team make the changes and email them to my secretary. If everything checks out, I'll sign it online. I really need to go or I'll miss my flight."

"Mr. Perez, my secretary has already made the changes and will be here in about five minutes."

Wayne frowned, clearly annoyed. "Mr. Smith, we've agreed on the collaboration. I'm not backing out. Why the rush? Do you think I'm untrustworthy?"

Sensing Wayne's displeasure, Alex quickly said, "No, Mr. Perez, that's not what I meant."

"Then what do you mean? I've got a flight to catch, and you're holding me up. Mr. Smith, you're not my only option!"

With that, Wayne stood up and left. As he opened the door, Seb walked out of room number nine.

Alex hurried after Wayne. "Mr. Perez, let me arrange a car to take you to the airport..."

Before he could finish, he saw Seb at the door, and his face fell.

Wayne was also surprised to see Seb. "Mr. Seb Smith, what are you doing here? Mr. Alex Smith said you were too busy, so he came to discuss the collaboration with me."

Seb raised an eyebrow, finally understanding how Alex had snatched deals from Silvercrest Group. He looked at Alex with a cold smile.

"I didn't know I was too busy to discuss collaborations."

Alex's face stiffened. After a few seconds, he said, "Uncle Seb, Mr. Perez and I have already agreed on the collaboration, and he has a flight to catch. I'll take him to the airport first."

Seb smiled but said nothing. Wayne, realizing he'd been tricked, looked at Alex angrily.

"You deceived me. No wonder you were in such a hurry to get your secretary to bring the new contract. You were afraid of being exposed!"

Alex's face turned pale. "Mr. Perez, let me explain."

Wayne sneered. "Explain what? I'm busy catching a flight and don't want to argue, but I won't let this slide!"

Wayne turned to Seb. "Mr. Smith, I have to go to the airport. Let's discuss our collaboration when I return."

Seb's expression was indifferent. "Mr. Perez, let me take you to the airport."

Wayne thought for a moment and agreed. "Alright, thank you, Mr. Smith."

Seb left with Wayne, leaving Alex looking defeated and silent.

On the way to the airport, Seb and Wayne finalized their collaboration plan. Wayne promised to come to Metropolis to sign the contract with Seb after his trip.

After sending Wayne off, Seb returned to Silvercrest Group. As soon as he reached the top floor, Paul approached. "Mr. Seb Smith, Mr. Alex Smith is here and waiting for you in the reception room."

Seb's eyes turned cold. "Got it."

He walked into the reception room, where Alex was sitting on the sofa, looking lost.

Hearing footsteps, Alex quickly looked up, his eyes filled with guilt.

"Uncle Seb, I'm sorry. I hope you can forgive me. I promise it won't happen again!"

Seb sat down opposite Alex, staring coldly at him. His intense gaze made Alex extremely nervous, his face turning pale.

"Uncle Seb."

"Did you use the same tricks to snatch deals from Silvercrest Group before?"
