Chapter 63 Married the Enemy's Son
Alex sneered and was about to speak when his phone suddenly rang in his pocket.
Seeing it was Ava, his eyes turned colder, and he hung up directly. "Sharon, do you really think Uncle Seb genuinely likes you? If he truly cared about you, he wouldn't have seduced you while you were still my wife. He's just playing with you."
Sharon was disgusted by his words and looked at him coldly. "Alex, I told you, Don't assume everyone's as revolting as you are."
"I'm disgusting? Isn't it disgusting that he, as an elder, has inappropriate intentions towards you?"
Sharon frowned, her gaze becoming icy. "What right do you have to talk about others? You haven't even dealt with your mistress and her unborn child. Alex, the truly disgusting person is you."
Alex's face turned livid instantly, and his gaze towards Sharon was filled with a chilling anger. "Sharon, it seems you really won't learn to behave."
He curled his lips into a cold smile and picked up his phone to make a call. "My father-in-law's kidney donor, no need to keep looking."
Sharon's face changed, and she stood up, trying to snatch his phone, but Alex was prepared and quickly stepped back, widening the distance between them. "Alex, are you crazy? Have you forgotten what you promised me back then?"
Her gaze at Alex shifted from anger to hatred. He was the one who cheated first, so why did he still want to hurt her like this?
Alex knew how important the kidney donor was to Robert.
Just because they argued, he stopped the search for Robert's kidney donor.
Back then, Alex had promised her that if she gave him that patent, he would find a way to cure Robert.
It had only been a few years, and he had already gone back on his word.
Sharon now realized that Alex was a selfish and ruthless person!
Alex hung up expressionlessly, walked to the bed, and grabbed her chin. "Sharon, this is just a lesson. Remember this moment of pain. If you anger me again in the future, you'll feel this pain over and over."
Sharon's eyes were red, and she raised her hand to slap him. But before her hand could touch Alex, her wrist was grabbed.
Alex said, "You'd better think clearly about the consequences of this slap."
"Alex, do you really want to force me to hate you?"
Alex chuckled lightly, "I don't mind if you hate me. We're destined to be entangled for life anyway."
Seeing the madness in his eyes, Sharon couldn't help but shudder, a chill rising in her heart.
Seeing her clearly flustered, Alex smiled with satisfaction. "Sharon, if you behave, I'll treat you well, and the people around you won't get hurt, understand?"
Sharon gripped the blanket tightly and stared at him. "Alex, you'd better hold onto your position as the CEO of the Smith Group for life."
Hearing the implication in her words, Alex raised an eyebrow. "Don't worry, even if I go to hell, I'll drag you with me."
"Lunatic!"
"Since you know I'm a lunatic, don't keep testing my limits."
Noticing Sharon's body trembling slightly, Alex released her and straightened up. "I have business at the company. I'll come see you this afternoon."
Shortly after Alex left, Sharon received a call from the police, asking her to come to the station to make a statement.
After making the statement, she was about to leave when an officer stopped her. "Ms. Wright, the suspect said she wants to see you. She won't confess until she meets you. Could you please cooperate and see her?"
Sharon frowned, feeling that Irene had bad intentions.
Seeing her hesitation, the officer continued, "Don't worry, you'll be separated by glass. She can't hurt you."
Hearing this, Sharon finally nodded. "Alright."
When she arrived, Irene was already waiting on the other side.
Seeing Sharon, she appeared calm, probably knowing she couldn't do anything to her anymore.
Sharon picked up the phone and spoke indifferently, "What do you want to say?"
Irene curled her lips into a strange smile. "Sharon, do you think you've won against me?"
Sharon's expression remained indifferent, her gaze devoid of any emotion. "You're overthinking. I've never wanted to win against anyone. It's your greed and extremism that ruined you."
Irene said, "What I hate most is your indifferent attitude while reaping all the benefits."
Facing her obsessive eyes, Sharon felt she was truly insane.
"Irene, stop nonsense. If you have nothing to say, just confess your crimes. The evidence is clear. Even if you say nothing, you'll be convicted." With that, Sharon put down the phone and prepared to leave.
"Sharon, did you know that the accident at Robert Pharmaceuticals wasn't an accident but a deliberate act?"
Sharon's movement froze, and she picked up the phone again, her voice cold. "What do you mean by that?"
"You're so smart, can't you understand? That accident was a conspiracy against Robert Pharmaceuticals, and it involved Alex's father."
"You married the son of your enemy. Isn't that funny?"
Sharon's hand holding the phone turned pale, and a storm raged in her heart.
The accident at Robert Pharmaceuticals was related to David!
Sharon gritted her teeth, forcing herself to calm down. "Why should I believe you?"
"Believe it or not, if you want to spend your life pretending not to know and share a bed with the enemy's son, I have nothing more to say."
"Poor Mr. Wright, who should have had a smooth life, but instead suffered a disaster and became bedridden. So pitiful!" Irene's expression was mocking, and her gaze towards Sharon was filled with pity.
Sharon looked at her coldly, enunciating each word, "That accident back then, did it have anything to do with your dad?"
Irene nodded. "Yes, otherwise, why do you think he suddenly became an executive at a subsidiary of Silvercrest Group?"
Originally, Irene didn't want to betray Ted, as she was waiting for him to save her.
But two hours ago, Ted had a lawyer bring a message, telling Irene to confess and then fend for herself, clearly not planning to help her anymore.
Since he didn't treat her as a daughter, she saw no need to cover for him.
Sharon didn't know how she walked out of the police station until she suddenly heard a shout. "Watch out!"
