Chapter 112 Don't Want to Scheme Against Him
Alex's face darkened, and he shouted, "Why did you just find this out now?"
Joseph replied, "Mr. Smith, I wanted to check earlier, but you told me not to. I only found out last night when I ran into Ms. Lee's parents at the hospital."
Alex remembered he had been too angry at the time and had indeed said something like that.
"If something like this happens again, investigate immediately!"
"Got it."
Just as he was about to hang up, he remembered Sharon and Seb leaving earlier. Alex said, "Find out where Sharon and Uncle Seb are right now."
Joseph quickly found out.
Knowing Seb had dropped Sharon back at her apartment and then left, Alex felt relieved but also guilty. He had wronged Sharon and locked her in the basement for two days.
After hesitating, Alex decided to wait a few days for Sharon to calm down before apologizing.
Suddenly, Alex remembered something, and his face turned grim.
He contacted Joseph, wanting him to reserve the kidney for Robert.
"Mr. Smith, Ava's father had the surgery yesterday."
Alex's grip on his phone tightened. "Keep looking for a kidney donor. We need a match ASAP, and make sure Sharon never finds out."
If Sharon found out he had given the kidney to Ava's father, she would never forgive him.
After hanging up, Alex thought for a moment before driving out.
When he arrived, Ava was making soup and looked surprised to see him.
"Alex, why are you here?"
Alex's expression was cold, "I don't want anyone to know I've found a kidney donor for your father, especially Sharon. If she finds out, I won't let you or your family off the hook."
His severe expression made Ava's smile vanish.
"Why?" she asked.
"You don't need to know why. Just do as I say, or you won't handle the consequences."
Ava's face turned bitter, "Alex, did you come here just to warn me? I thought you came to see our baby."
Noticing Ava's sadness, Alex frowned and after a while, spoke in a low voice, "As long as you behave, I will treat you and the baby well."
Ava lowered her eyes and nodded, "I understand."
After Alex left, Ava's expression turned cold.
Keeping this from Sharon was impossible.
If Sharon didn't divorce Alex, she and her unborn child would remain secrets forever. Ava wouldn't allow that!
After a shower and a little food, Sharon went to sleep.
When she woke up, it was already dusk.
The room was dark and eerily silent as if she were isolated from the world.
Sharon turned on the bedside lamp.
The light filled the room, and Sharon squinted before slowly sitting up.
After her eyes adjusted, she picked up her phone from the bedside table.
Seeing several missed calls from Sophie, she called back immediately.
The call was quickly answered, and upon learning that Maria wasn't at the hospital, Sharon decided to visit Sophie, who had asked her to bring fried chicken.
Sharon couldn't help but smile, "Forget the fried chicken; you can't eat greasy food right now. I'll bring you some light soup."
It took her over an hour to get to the hospital.
Seeing that Sharon had only brought soup, Sophie looked disappointed.
Sharon sat beside her, opened the lunch box, and said, "Hang in there for a few more days. Once you're discharged, you can eat whatever you want."
Sophie sighed and reluctantly took the soup.
"By the way, I heard the two people who forced me to jump were sent by Emily?"
Thinking about everything that happened after those two broke in felt like a nightmare to Sophie.
If she hadn't jumped, who knewwhat would have happened next?
Sharon nodded, her face darkening, "Yes, she said she just wanted them to take some nude photos of you, not force you to jump."
Sophie sneered, "I don't believe her. If I hadn't jumped, who knows what those two men would have done to me?"
"I took some photos of her too. If she ever dares to release your photos, she'll be done for."
Seeing Sharon's cold expression, Sophie was stunned, disbelief flashing in her eyes.
"How did you manage that?"
"Alex's Uncle Seb helped me."
If it were Seb, she wouldn't be surprised; Seb certainly had the capability.
"Sharon, thank you."
For Sophie, those photos didn't mean much.
She never cared about others' opinions.
And even if those nude photos were leaked, Sophie wouldn't feel ashamed or embarrassed because she wasn't in the wrong.
Sharon shook her head, "If it weren't for celebrating my birthday, you might not have gone through this."
The guilt in her eyes made Sophie frown. "Sharon, this has nothing to do with you. Emily wanted to target me, and she wouldn't have picked a specific time. But since her people forced me to jump and ruined your birthday, I won't let her off!"
Seeing Sophie's angry expression, Sharon hesitated for a moment before telling her about her attempt to seek revenge against Emily, which was stopped by Daniel.
"Based on Daniel's attitude towards Emily that day, if you go after Emily, he'll probably try to stop you."
Sophie's eyes flashed with disgust, and she said coldly, "Thinking about how I liked that jerk for years makes me sick."
If Daniel truly loved Emily, he should have waited for her wholeheartedly instead of having connections with Emily while dating Sophie.
Daniel was utterly disgusting!
"Alright, I'm telling you this so you can be prepared. The most important thing now is to recover. Once you're healed, we can think about how to deal with Emily."
Sophie nodded. "Okay."
Sharon lowered her eyes and hesitated for a moment. In the end, she didn't mention that Emily was acting under Rebecca's orders.
Firstly, there was no solid evidence, and secondly, the Lee Family was no match for the Walker Family. If Sophie insisted on seeking revenge against Rebecca, she would gain nothing.
But Sharon didn't plan to let it go either. Rebecca was cunning and would surely find another chance to strike at her and Sophie.
Instead of waiting to be targeted by Rebecca, they should take the initiative.
Right now, Rebecca cared most about Seb.
When Sharon thought of this, her eyes darkened.
Seb had helped her so much; she didn't want to scheme against him.
