Chapter 230 You Owe Me a Life for the Rest of Your Life

The sound of fireworks jolted Seb lying in the flower bushes awake. He groggily sat up, noticing his messed-up clothes and the scratches on his chest, a look of shock flashing in his eyes.

He remembered that right before he blacked out, he saw Sharon and couldn't help but hug and kiss her.

Thinking about it, Seb's face turned super grim.

He quickly straightened his clothes, grabbed his phone, and dialed Sharon's number.

He called a bunch of times, but Sharon didn't pick up.

Seb's face darkened, and he immediately hit up Paul to find out where Sharon was.

After hanging up, Seb quickly got up and walked out of the villa.

The driver had already parked the car at the door. Seeing Seb, he quickly approached. "Mr. Smith, we heading back now?"

Seb didn't answer, his expression dark as he got into the car.

The driver was a bit puzzled, but since Seb hadn't given any orders, he didn't dare to act on his own and just sat in the driver's seat waiting for Seb's command.

Seb stared intently at his phone, his expression super serious. As soon as Paul's call came in, he answered immediately.

"Mr. Smith, Ms. Wright is on her way back to the city, but it's not clear where she's heading."

"Got it, share her location with me in real-time."

After hanging up, Seb coldly said, "Head back to the city."

Sharon's rented place was nearby, so she went straight back to her apartment.

Once home, the first thing Sharon did was take a shower.

On the way back, she had already calmed down.

After all, she was an adult, and sex wasn't a big deal to her; she thought of it as just another casual thing.

After showering and drying her hair, Sharon planned to buy a morning-after pill. She suddenly remembered that she had bought those pills when she was with Alex, and they might still be in the medicine cabinet.

She dug out the medicine cabinet and found the pills at the bottom.

Without hesitation, she took a pill with water and finally breathed a sigh of relief.

However, before she could fully relax, the doorbell suddenly rang.

Sharon was startled. She got up and walked to the door, peeking through the peephole to see Seb. She couldn't help but frown.

"Sharon, I know you're in there. We need to talk."

Sharon pressed her lips together, hesitated for a moment, and then opened the door.

They sat on the couch, Sharon looking calm while Seb appeared guilty and uneasy.

"Sharon, about tonight, I'm sorry. I'll take responsibility."

Seb's eyes, initially filled with guilt, gradually turned determined as he looked at Sharon seriously and said, "I'll marry you."

Hearing this, Sharon suddenly burst into laughter.

She raised an eyebrow at Seb, her eyes indifferent. "Mr. Smith, one-night stands are normal between adults. I don't need you to take responsibility, and marrying you wouldn't be a good thing for me."

Thinking of the difficult Smith family, Sharon felt it was better to keep her distance.

Besides, she had more important things to do now.

Seb frowned. "Sharon, but I want to take responsibility."

"I don't need it. Let's just pretend it never happened. Mr. Smith, you can leave now."

Seb didn't move, his face tense, his eyes deep and cold as he stared at Sharon, lost in thought.

After a long silence, he finally spoke slowly, "Since it happened, we can't pretend it didn't."

"But I don't need you to take responsibility. Mr. Smith, you don't think that just because we did it once, you can keep me by your side, do you?"

Feeling that Sharon got the wrong idea, Seb quickly said, "That's not what I meant. I just..."

Sharon cut him off, "Doesn't matter what you meant. Tonight's incident is nothing to me. We're both adults; no need to act all innocent. It's late, Mr. Smith, you can leave."

Seeing Sharon's indifferent eyes, Seb knew pushing it tonight wouldn't get him anywhere.

"Alright, you rest up. We'll talk tomorrow."

"No need to talk. Mr. Smith, please don't mess up my peaceful life anymore."

Facing Sharon's cold eyes and the faint trace of disgust in them, Seb felt like he'd been punched in the gut, his face turning pale.

"Then I'll go. If you feel unwell, call me."

Sharon didn't say anything, just walked to the door and opened it.

Seb pressed his lips together, stood in the living room for a bit, then sighed and left.

After closing the door, Sharon leaned against it, letting out a complicated sigh.

Back downstairs, Seb's face was super grim.

"Bring Grace here!"

In less than an hour, Grace was dragged into Seb's villa by two men in black.

Seb sat on the couch, looking at her coldly, his eyes blazing with anger.

Grace had never seen Seb like this before. She was so scared her legs trembled, and she spoke in a shaky voice, "Seb, I..."

"Grace, the thing I regret most is ever being with you."

Grace's face turned pale, tears welling up in her eyes instantly. "Seb, do you hate me that much?"

"I don't hate you; I just find you disgusting."

The disgust in Seb's eyes was like a knife stabbing into Grace's heart. She bit her lower lip hard, not letting go even when she tasted blood.

The two men in black forced Grace to sit opposite Seb, with a document on the table.

"Sign this document, and we're done. I won't owe you anything."

Even without opening it, Grace could guess what the document was about.

"No, I won't sign it!"

She shrank back, shaking her head continuously, tears streaming down her face.

Seb's lips curled into a cruel smile, and he said word by word, "I advise you to sign it. If you don't, don't ever bring up your life-saving grace to make demands again. I gave you a chance, and you didn't take it."

"No, you can't do this to me."

Grace looked up at Seb. "Seb, I carried you down the mountain when you were unconscious, falling countless times and getting injured all over. Now, just because I drugged you tonight, you want to cut ties with me completely? You can't be so heartless!"

Seb looked at her coldly. "Do you know what happens to those who drugged me?"

The only reason Grace could still sit here and talk to him was because of her life-saving grace.

But no matter how great the grace, Seb was fed up with Grace using it as a shield for her schemes time and again.

Grace shuddered, not daring to meet Seb's eyes.

"Anyway, I won't sign it. You owe me a life!"

Seb's eyes narrowed, and his aura turned icy.

Everyone in the room held their breath, knowing that drawing Seb's attention when he was furious was courting death.

Just as the living room fell into a tense silence, the villa's door was suddenly pushed open, and Victor rushed in, looking anxious.

Seeing that Grace was okay, Victor finally breathed a sigh of relief and angrily looked at Seb.

"Seb, why'd your guys grab Grace like that?"

Seb looked up, his voice cold, "Why don't you ask her what she meant by giving me an aphrodisiac tonight?"
