Chapter 68 Don't you greet people anymore?

Meanwhile, in the president's office of Silvercrest Group.

Seb was reviewing some documents when his phone suddenly rang.

As soon as he answered, Sandra's robust voice came through. "Seb, come home for dinner tonight."

He glanced at the unfinished documents and directly refused. "I have no time."

"You have to make time tonight, or I'll come to your office and drag you home for dinner myself." her righteous tone left him a bit helpless.

"There's a lot going on today; I really don't have time tonight."

"No way; no matter how busy you are, you can always spare time for dinner. You must come home."

With that, she didn't give him a chance to respond and hung up.

Sharon and Alex moved their things back to the villa by around four in the afternoon. After showering and changing clothes, they headed to the Smith family's mansion.

Over at the mansion, Seb was about to walk inside when Alex's car stopped in front of the place.

Hearing that, Seb turned around. Recognizing the license plate, he squinted slightly, showing indifference.

Inside the car, Sharon saw him first, her hand gripping the seatbelt tightening involuntarily.

Alex also saw him, his eyes darkening. "Let's get out."

When she stepped out of the car, Alex walked over and took her hand.

At that moment, she felt goosebumps all over. If Seb hadn't been watching, she would've shaken off Alex's hand.

Sensing her compliance, Alex smiled as he led her toward Seb. "Uncle Seb, what a coincidence."

Seb's indifferent gaze swept over their clasped hands before fixing on Sharon's face. "What, don't you know how to greet people anymore?"

Slight embarrassment flashed across Sharon's face. She had thought that after the restaurant incident, Seb would treat her as invisible. She didn't expect him to embarrass her in front of Alex.

She bit her lower lip and said softly, "Uncle Seb."

His gaze lingered on her red lips for a second before his expression turned cold and he looked away.

Noticing his cold attitude toward Sharon, Alex was a bit surprised but then smiled and said, "Uncle Seb, Sharon is timid. You might scare her."

"If she's so easily scared, don't bring her out." With that, Seb turned and walked away.

Watching his back, Sharon felt a surge of indescribable sadness.

From the way Seb looked at her just now, she could feel that he genuinely disliked her.

This was what she wanted, but she couldn't feel happy about it at all.

Holding her hand, Alex walked into the living room.

Seb was already sitting on the sofa, talking to Sandra and Tyler.

Seeing the smiles on Sandra and Tyler's faces, Alex's eyes darkened.

No matter how hard he tried, they always treated him indifferently; never as warmly as they did with Seb.

He called out, "Grandpa, Grandma."

Sandra looked at the two who had just walked in, smiling. "Alex, Sharon, you're here. Have a seat; Ms. Walker will be here soon."

After greeting Sandra and Tyler, Sharon sat down next to Alex but with slight distance.

Sandra didn't pay much attention to Alex and Sharon, as she only called them over as an excuse. "Seb, remember what I told you earlier. Be attentive to Ms. Walker later, or else!"

Seb saw Sharon with her head down in his peripheral vision, seemingly dazed. Seeing her lack of reaction to Sandra's words, a chill rose around him.

After a moment, slight sarcasm flashed in his eyes.

Sharon had made it clear she had no feelings for him. It's be shameless if he still pursued her.

"Got it." he nodded.

Sandra wanted to persuade him further, but she paused and looked at him suspiciously. "You're not plotting something, are you?"

He was speechless.

Seeing his silence, Sandra's face darkened. She was about to speak when footsteps echoed from the entrance. "Ms. Walker is here."

Everyone in the living room looked up to see a beautiful woman in her twenties walking in.

She had short tea-brown hair and light makeup on, wearing a pale yellow spaghetti strap dress. Her elegant demeanor naturally drew people's affection.

She was indeed a beauty.

Even Sharon, who had seen many beautiful women, was momentarily stunned by Rebecca Walker's appearance.

Sandra smiled warmly as she stood up. "Rebecca, come sit by me."

Rebecca walked over to her with a gentle smile.

After greeting each other, Sandra was even more pleased with Rebecca; almost ready to announce her engagement to Seb on the spot.

"Let me introduce you. This is my nearly 30-year-old son who still hasn't gotten married." her tone was disdainful when she mentioned Seb.

Following her gaze, Rebecca looked over with a reserved smile. "Hello, Mr. Seb. I've heard that you founded Silvercrest Group in your twenties. My father often says you're quite remarkable."

She had noticed him the moment she walked in.

She was initially angry with her parents arranging this blind date, planning to decline it after a brief meeting. However, she couldn't help but feel drawn after seeing him.

His calm demeanor and aloof aura captivated her.

She was determined to win him over.

Seb's expression remained unchanged, his gaze toward Rebecca icy. "Hello, Ms. Walker."

Sensing his cold attitude, Rebecca was even more determined to win him over.

With everyone present, Sandra invited them to dinner.

She introduced Alex and Sharon to Rebecca during the meal, but Rebecca paid them little attention; focusing mostly on Seb.

Once seated, Sandra instructed the servants to serve the dishes.

While eating, Sandra frowned when she saw Alex cut food for Sharon, while Seb remained aloof and inattentive to Rebecca. "Seb, don't just focus on eating. Rebecca can't reach some dishes; help her out."

Seb frowned, about to refuse. However, when he noticed Alex whispering something to Sharon and making her smile, his gaze darkened instantly.

Looking at Rebecca, his expression suddenly softened. "What would you like to eat, Ms. Walker?"

Although surprised by his attitude change, Rebecca didn't show it. "Anything is fine with me."

Seb nodded, reaching out for the fish Alex had just cut and placing the entire fish in front of Rebecca.

Instantly, the dining room fell silent.
