Chapter 150 Don't Come to the Top Floor Looking for Mr. Smith

Seeing Tyler didn't delegate the matter to him, the lawyer stood up. "Mr. Tyler, I need to check some info to see if we can bail out Mr. David. I'll head back now."

Tyler nodded. "Go ahead."

After the lawyer left, Tyler turned to Clara. "You should go too. Whether David gets out depends on you convincing Sharon."

With that, Tyler left.

Clara watched him go, gritting her teeth in frustration. Tyler was useless; only she cared about David.

Leaving the Smith family, Clara angrily called Alex and exaggerated the night's events.

"Alex, if we want to get your dad out, we have to do it ourselves. I'll wait outside Silvercrest Group tomorrow. I won't miss her!"

After a pause, Alex's cold voice came through, "Okay, I'll find a way to cause trouble for Seb's company so he can't focus on Sharon."

"Alright, your dad is counting on us."

Alex frowned. If David weren't his biological father and still useful, he wouldn't care at all.

"Okay, I have things to do. Talk later."

After hanging up, Alex messaged Joseph, instructing him to find Grace Hall within three days.

Seeing Alex's grim expression, Ava walked up and started massaging his head. "Alex, don't worry. We're doing our best. If Sharon won't let Dad go, the most important thing is for you to take over his company ASAP."

Alex closed his eyes, thinking about Ava's words. If David got sentenced, taking over the company quickly would be crucial.

With this in mind, Alex decided to visit David the next day.

Early the next morning, Sharon found out during breakfast that Seb hadn't come back all night. Worried about his back injury, she couldn't eat. She grabbed some medicine and bandages and headed to the company.

As soon as she parked, Clara blocked her.

"Sharon, we need to talk!"

Clara's face was cold, her gaze disdainful, and her tone haughty.

Sharon ignored Clara and walked past her.

Clara wouldn't give up and followed her to the elevator.

"I'm talking to you. Are you deaf, or do you think you're too good for me now that you're with Seb?"

"Forget it, you've always been rude. I'm here to get you to sign this letter of understanding. Once you sign, I'll leave!"

Clara handed a document to Sharon.

Sharon glanced at it and then at Clara. "Do I look like an idiot to you?"

"What do you mean!"

Seeing Clara's angry eyes, Sharon smirked. "You don't know what I mean? You have the nerve to ask me to sign this!"

"You!"

Clara pointed at Sharon, trembling. "Don't forget, I'm your elder!"

"Elder?" Sharon sneered. "Alex and I are divorced. What kind of elder are you to me? I'm Seb's girlfriend now. If I remember right, you're just his brother's wife. Do you want to be my elder, or are you planning to be Seb's mom?"

Clara's face turned pale with anger, and she raised her hand to slap Sharon. But before she could, Sharon grabbed her wrist.

"Let go!" Clara exclaimed.

Sharon smiled. "Mrs. Clark, you might want to adjust your attitude before asking for favors, or you'll just embarrass yourself."

She let go, and Clara, still struggling, fell backward, landing awkwardly on the ground.

The elevator doors opened, and Sharon walked in without looking back.

Clara wanted to stop her, but her twisted ankle made it impossible to get up and chase Sharon.

"Stop right there, you bitch! I won't let you get away with this!"

A cold glint flashed in Sharon's eyes. After the elevator doors closed, she went straight to the first-floor surveillance room.

She copied the footage of her confrontation with Clara and left.

Sharon went to the top floor to find Seb but was told he was in a meeting.

She handed the medicine and bandages to Paul. "Mr. Harris, please help him change his bandages after the meeting."

Paul took the medicine, hesitated, and then said, "Ms. Wright, if it's not urgent, you'd better stay off the top floor. Many shareholders are mad about what happened yesterday and your thing with Mr. Smith."

If news of Seb and Sharon being together spread online, it would damage Silvercrest Group's image.

The shareholders didn't care who Seb was with, but if his personal life affected their interests, they'd be the first to oppose it.

Seeing Sharon remain silent, Paul sighed. "Ms. Wright, Mr. Smith won't tell you this, but if you really like him, you wouldn't want to make things difficult for him, right?"

Sharon nodded. "I understand. I'll avoid meeting him at the company from now on."

Paul's expression softened. "Alright, please don't tell Mr. Smith about this."

"Don't worry, I won't. It's almost work time, so I won't keep you from your duties, Mr. Harris."

Back in the office, Sharon sat at her desk, staring blankly at the computer.

"Sharon, what's wrong?"

Sharon turned and forced a smile at Ashley. "Nothing, I didn't sleep well last night. Let's get to work."

"Oh, okay."

Just as Ashley and Sharon finished a phase of their experiment, Seb arrived, holding the medicine and bandages she had given to Paul.

Sharon asked Seb to wait in the office for a moment while she recorded the experimental data and handed it to Ashley before leaving.

When Sharon entered the office, she saw Seb asleep in her chair. She instinctively lightened her steps.

Walking up to Seb, Sharon noticed the dark circles under his eyes and the fatigue on his face.

It seemed Seb had worked all night.

She intended to leave and let Seb rest, but as soon as she turned, Seb's arm wrapped around her waist.

The next second, Seb's chin rested on her shoulder.

"Why didn't you wake me?"

Sharon pushed him away gently. "I saw you could fall asleep in my chair, so you must be very tired. I wanted to let you rest a few more minutes."
