Chapter 174 Not Necessarily a Loss

"I don't want to choose. Stop the car, I want out."

Seb calmly started the car. "If you won't choose, I will."

Sharon laughed angrily, knowing Seb wouldn't let her out. She turned to look out the window, her face cold.

In less than half an hour, they arrived at the hospital. Seb carried her inside.

Seeing no point in resisting, Sharon kept silent, her face still cold.

After the check-up, the doctor said she was fine and gave her some meds.

When they left, Seb tried to carry her again, but she stepped back.

"Thanks for tonight, but I'll take a cab home," Sharon said coldly, walking out with her meds.

Seb followed her. Near his car, he stopped her. "I'll take you home."

Sharon looked at him, feeling helpless. "We've broken up. This is pointless. I'm not going back, and I don't want to get involved with you and Grace."

"I'm not with her, and I won't be."

Sharon nodded. "Got it."

She tried to leave, but Seb grabbed her hand, looking tense.

"You don't believe me?"

"I do, but your relationship isn't my concern. It's late, and I'm tired. Can I go home now?"

Seb searched her eyes for any sign she was lying but found none. She seemed done with him.

"Sharon, believe it or not, you're the only one in my heart."

Sharon pulled her hand free, not caring about his words.

A red Lamborghini screeched to a stop nearby. Sophie got out and pulled Sharon behind her.

"Mr. Smith, stop bothering Sharon. Unlike you, she doesn't have an ex to run back to."

Sophie didn't care if she offended Seb.

Seb's eyes darkened. "Ms. Lee, we're just arguing, not broken up."

Sophie sneered. "Mr. Smith, you broke up. It's not a divorce; she doesn't need your consent."

Seb squinted, lost in thought.

Sharon tugged Sophie's sleeve. "Sophie, let's go. I'm tired."

"Okay."

Seb didn't stop them as they left.

"Ms. Lee, please take her home tonight."

Sophie rolled her eyes. "Mr. Smith, Sharon's my friend. Taking her home isn't a hassle, and it's not your place to ask."

Seb said nothing more, watching them leave before heading to his own car.

On the way back, Sophie complained, "You broke up, and Seb's still bothering you. He's as bad as Alex!"

Sharon looked down, indifferent. "Forget it. I left my phone at the restaurant. Did you get it?"

"Yeah, it's in the bag."

Sharon took out her phone and saw a message from Leo.

[I brought u some food. Knocked, no answer. U not back yet?]

Sharon pursed her lips and called him.

"I'm still out. No need to bring me anything next time."

There was a brief silence before Leo's gentle voice came through. "Okay. It's past ten. Need a ride?"

Remembering what Karen had said, Sharon wanted to keep her distance from Leo.

"No, my friend is taking me home. If there's nothing else, I'll hang up."

After hanging up, Sophie looked puzzled. "Who was that?"

"Leo."

Sophie was surprised. "Leo's back? When did that happen?"

Sophie used to hang out at Sharon's place a lot, so she had bumped into Leo quite a few times.

"A few days ago."

"Oh, he's quite concerned about you now. I remember he used to be pretty aloof."

"He's okay. By the way, I was supposed to treat you tonight, but you paid. Send me the bill, and I'll transfer the money."

Sophie glared at Sharon. "You're really going to be that polite? Just treat me next time. By the way, why were you at the hospital with Seb? Did you get hurt?"

Sharon briefly explained what happened in the restroom, and Sophie was furious.

"I knew she was trouble. Are you just going to let this go?"

Thinking about how Victor had even asked Sharon to apologize to Grace, Sophie wanted to confront Victor right now.

"There are no cameras in the restroom, and only Victor saw it. He won't testify for me."

"Victor is so infatuated with Grace that he'll definitely help her."

The more Sharon spoke, the angrier Sophie became.

No wonder Grace managed to make Sharon and Seb break up as soon as she returned. Hurting herself to achieve her goals was something most people wouldn't do.

"Let's just consider it a loss today. Stay away from her in the future."

Sophie snorted. "I'm just afraid that even if you want to stay away, Grace won't agree."

Sharon frowned, her expression turning cold.

"I won't give her another chance to scheme against me."

"I see Seb is quite concerned about you. If you really compete with Grace, you might not lose."

Sharon smiled bitterly. "If a relationship requires scheming and competing with another woman, it's better to let it go early."

She could like Seb, but she wouldn't lose her dignity for him.

"True, there are so many men in this world. If this one doesn't work, find another."

Sharon was a bit surprised and turned to look at Sophie. "You didn't use to say that."

"That just means I was too naive before. If men can be fickle and love one after another, why can't I?"

Sharon answered, "Alright."

It seemed to make some sense.

But she wasn't interested in relationships right now; she just wanted to work hard and make more money.

After dropping Sharon off, Sophie left.

Sharon took the elevator upstairs. As soon as she stepped out, she saw Leo standing at her door.

Seeing Sharon, Leo quickly walked up and handed her a bag.

"Thought you'd be back later."

There was some packed food in the bag. Sharon didn't take it.

"I made this. I noticed you order takeout every night, and it's not good for your health."
