Chapter 546 Send You and Demetrius Abroad
Damon's face darkened, and he frowned. "Grandpa, it's not that I question your decision, but this issue is already affecting our company. I need to give the shareholders an explanation. Several of them have already come to question me today."
Just thinking about the shareholders' displeased faces made Damon feel irritated. He knew that none of them took him seriously. Some even said he was far inferior to Ayla.
Garry looked at him coldly. "Just a few people questioning you, and you can't handle it? What will you do if something major happens to the company in the future?"
"Grandpa, if you keep causing trouble like this, we might not have to wait for the future. The company could be in trouble very soon."
"What did you just say?"
Meeting Garry's icy gaze, Damon shrank back a bit and mumbled, "I'm just stating the facts."
"Get out!" Garry picked up a document and threw it at Damon's feet, his face full of anger.
Damon sighed helplessly. "Grandpa, getting angry won't help. You were the one who suggested terminating the contract with Silvercrest Group, and now I'm the one dealing with the fallout."
"If you say one more word, you won't need to come to the office tomorrow!"
Damon fell silent.
His phone rang just as he stepped out of the old mansion.
"Mr. Bridges, after terminating the contract with Silvercrest Group, our production line has stopped. We have a lot of inventory piling up, and if this continues, our cash flow could break down at any moment."
Each day the factory equipment was idle, it led to a loss of millions of dollars. The Bridges Group had just recovered, and there wasn't much money in the bank. If this continued, the company would face bankruptcy within a month.
Damon frowned and said coldly, "Got it. I'm heading back now."
Meanwhile, in the Silvercrest Group president's office.
"Mr. Smith, after terminating the contract with the Bridges Group, we can't keep up with product demand. We need to find new partners quickly."
"I know. Arrange a meeting with Mr. Simmons."
Paul nodded. "Alright, I'll do it right away."
After Paul left, Seb picked up a document and continued reading.
Soon, Paul knocked and re-entered the office.
"Mr. Smith, I contacted Mr. Simmons, but he said he's too busy lately, and his company doesn't have any extra products to help Silvercrest Group."
Seb put down his pen and looked at Paul. "Got it. Reach out to other companies and see if anyone is willing to partner with Silvercrest Group."
After Paul left, Seb walked to the window and called Jerry.
"Mr. Simmons, you were planning to partner with Silvercrest Group before. How come you had extra products then, but now you can't keep up with demand?"
There was a moment of silence on the other end before Jerry's somewhat helpless voice came through. "Mr. Smith, it's not that I don't want to work with you. We recently took on a big order, and our production lines are running non-stop. We really don't have the capacity to help Silvercrest Group right now. Maybe you should ask someone else."
"Alright, I understand."
After hanging up, Seb called Daniel. "Check if Jerry has taken on any big orders recently, and if so, find out who they're with."
Daniel was momentarily stunned but quickly responded, "Got it."
After hanging up, Daniel held his phone, still a bit confused. Had he gone from being Jesse's lackey to Seb's?
Sighing, Daniel called his secretary into the office.
In less than an hour, the secretary had the information.
"Mr. Thomas, Jerry hasn't taken on any big orders recently, but he has been in contact with Mr. Scott."
Hearing this, Daniel sneered. "Got it. You can go."
After the secretary left, Daniel immediately contacted Seb. "Jerry has been in contact with Jesse recently. They're probably working together now. Be careful."
"Understood."
After hanging up, Seb placed his phone on the desk, contemplating his next move. Jesse had made his intentions clear and was targeting Silvercrest Group. It was only a matter of time before Alton went after him as well.
The more Seb thought about it, the darker his expression became. He took a deep breath and called Paul into the office.
"Paul, how long have you been with me?"
"Mr. Smith, almost ten years."
"Has it been that long? Time flies. I need you to handle something for me, and no one else can know about it. You're the only one I trust."
That evening, Seb returned to the villa. As he stepped into the living room, his previously cold demeanor softened.
Sharon was arranging flowers. Hearing his footsteps, she turned and smiled when she saw him. "You're back."
"Yeah."
"Come sit on the couch. I have something to tell you."
Seb nodded. "I have something to tell you too."
"Let me go first, then you can speak."
"Alright."
Sharon's eyes sparkled with joy. "Close your eyes first."
Seb obediently closed his eyes, listening to Sharon's footsteps fade away and then return, stopping beside him.
"Can I open my eyes now?"
"Yeah, go ahead."
Seb opened his eyes to see Sharon holding a pair of matching rings. He was momentarily stunned.
Sharon smiled. "I saw these rings while shopping and bought them. I thought we could use them as our wedding rings, but you never proposed, so I never brought them out."
"Sharon..." Seb looked at her, his eyes slightly red.
"I lied about wanting a proposal ceremony this morning. After all these years of misunderstandings and struggles, we've finally come together. I don't care about those formalities anymore."
To her, as long as they loved each other, that was enough.
Seb lowered his gaze and said slowly, "I'm sorry for everything you and Demetrius went through."
If he hadn't wavered between Grace and Sharon in the past, Grace wouldn't have had the chance to hurt Sharon. Even after they reunited and cleared up their misunderstandings, he still couldn't protect her and Demetrius.
Sharon hugged him gently. "There's no need to talk about right or wrong. As long as the three of us are together, I'm content."
Seb composed himself and looked at Sharon. "Sharon, I need to tell you something. I'm planning to send you and Demetrius abroad."
Sharon frowned. "What do you mean? You want me and Demetrius to go with Alton?"
Seeing her misunderstanding, Seb quickly explained, "No, I want to send you both abroad so Alton and Jesse can't find you. Once things are settled here, I'll join you."
"I won't go!"
