Chapter 252 Not a Single One Will Be Spared
"Let go of me!"
Seb tried to push forward, but his guys held him back tight.
"Mr. Smith, Ms. Wright already jumped. Going after her won't change a thing."
"Let go!"
Seb's icy vibe made everyone around him shiver. The two bodyguards holding him were sweating bullets but didn't dare let go.
As the tension built, Paul showed up.
Paul walked over and said to Seb, "Mr. Smith, I've got people searching down there. We'll find Ms. Wright."
Seeing Seb start to calm down, Paul nodded at the bodyguards. "Alright, let him go."
After a moment of hesitation, the bodyguards released Seb but stayed close, ready for anything.
If something happened to Seb here, the Smiths would never let it slide.
Seb stared at the spot where Sharon had jumped and said, "Find her, dead or alive!"
Just then, Samuel was dragged in front of him.
"Mr. Smith, this seems to be the guy who kidnapped Ms. Wright. What should we do with him?"
Seb's murderous glare made Samuel drop to his knees, shaking.
"Mr. Smith, I had no choice! Please, don't kill me! Grace threatened my family. If I didn't do it, she would've killed them. I'm sorry, Mr. Smith."
Seb's face showed no mercy.
"Your family's lives matter, but others' don't?"
Samuel froze, trembling like a leaf, unable to meet Seb's eyes.
Seb didn't want to look at him any longer and coldly said, "If something happens to her, you and your family will pay."
Hearing this, Samuel was too scared to even move, frozen with fear.
Suddenly, he started banging his head on the ground, begging Seb. "Mr. Smith, please spare my family. I'll give my life for Ms. Wright. Please, my girlfriend is pregnant, and she's innocent. It's my fault."
Samuel's forehead quickly split open, blood covering his face, making him look terrifying.
Paul, watching from the side, couldn't help but speak up, "Mr. Smith, he was forced. Maybe we should spare his family. They are innocent."
Seb's expression stayed cold. "His family is innocent, but Sharon isn't?"
Paul sighed, "This is all Grace's fault. He had no choice. Besides, Miss Wright wouldn't want to hurt innocent people."
"Shut up!"
Seb's face turned red with anger, eyes blazing.
"Do as I say or get out!"
Under Seb's icy stare, Paul didn't dare argue and quickly had the bodyguards take Samuel away.
Below the cliff where Sharon jumped was the sea. After three days and nights of searching, not even a personal item was found, let alone a body.
During these three days, Seb hadn't slept, constantly searching for Sharon.
Usually, if there was no news after three days, it was assumed the person was dead.
But Seb insisted on expanding the search area, refusing to give up as long as a body wasn't found.
On the fourth night, Seb finally collapsed from exhaustion and rushed to the hospital.
When the Smiths got the news, they rushed to the hospital immediately.
When Seb woke up in the hospital, the first thing he did was try to get out of bed to keep searching for Sharon.
He didn't even glance at the room full of Smiths.
Tyler, fuming, had the bodyguards stop him. "Look at you! Is Sharon really worth all this?"
Seb, pale and with bloodshot eyes, glared at the bodyguards blocking him. "Move!"
"Mr. Smith, please don't make this hard for us."
"Move, or you'll regret it."
"Nobody move! You're not leaving this room today! And forget about looking for Sharon again. She jumped off a cliff, and after four days, there's no way she's still alive. How long are you gonna keep lying to yourself?"
Seb turned to Tyler, his stare making the room feel like it was closing in.
"What does it have to do with you? I've already cut ties with the Smiths. What I do is none of your business."
"You!"
Tyler was so mad he almost passed out. Seb's words were like a slap in the face.
"You're not leaving here until you get your head straight!"
To make sure Seb didn't sneak out, Tyler posted over a dozen bodyguards at the windows and doors, even at the bathroom door.
On the third day, Paul finally got a chance to see Seb.
"Mr. Seb Smith, Mr. Tyler Smith has pulled all the people searching for Ms. Wright. What should we do now?"
Seb lowered his eyes, his face calm, not surprised at all.
"Got it. What'd you do with Samuel?"
"Sent to the police station."
"Okay."
Seeing that Seb had no plans to go after Samuel's family, Paul silently sighed in relief.
"Mr. Smith, should we keep searching for Ms. Wright?"
"No need. I'll be out in a few days. Bring Grace; I need to visit the Edwards Group."
Seb knew the chances of Sharon surviving were slim. After a week, even a man wouldn't likely survive.
Seb didn't want to believe it, but he knew he had to.
At the same time, Seb began to hate himself.
If he had been decisive when Grace returned, he wouldn't have lost Sharon or their child.
Seb's calm demeanor made Paul uneasy.
'Seb had been tirelessly searching for Sharon by the sea, and now, after just three days, he has accepted her death?' Paul wondered.
"Mr. Smith, are you alright?"
"I'm fine. Just do as I say."
'Those who had hurt Sharon, including myself, would not be spared. Before apologizing to Sharon, I would send those people to hell!' Seb thought.
The day Seb was discharged was a sunny day.
After confirming multiple times that Seb wouldn't go crazy searching for Sharon again, Tyler was still a bit uneasy.
"Seb, have you really come to terms with it?"
"Of course, I've accepted reality. She's not coming back."
He had lost Sharon and couldn't find her again.
"That's more like it. She's just a woman. With your status, there are plenty of women who would throw themselves at you. There's no need to turn the world upside down for one woman."
"You're right."
Tyler finally felt at ease and pulled most of the bodyguards from around Seb, leaving a few to keep an eye on him to prevent any accidents.
Seb didn't care or, rather, wasn't concerned. After leaving the hospital, he had the driver take him straight to the Edwards Group.
