Chapter 330 Indeed, Even God is Helping Me

Sharon's eyes filled with tears in an instant. She hugged Demetrius tight and said, her voice all choked up, "Demetrius, I'm so happy to have you."

Demetrius patted her back gently and said, "Mom, I'll be good. We'll be fine moving to a new place."

Sharon let go of him, wiped her eyes, and smiled, "Alright, let's go to the new place together and start fresh."

Demetrius nodded, looking all determined.

They didn't have much stuff, so they finished packing by noon.

Over lunch, Sharon broke the news to Dana about their move.

Dana was so shocked she almost spilled her soup. She set it down quickly, staring at Sharon in disbelief. "Ms. Roach, why are you leaving all of a sudden? Did Mr. Smith say you can't stay here anymore?"

Seeing the worry in Dana's eyes, Sharon felt a warmth in her heart. From the very first day she arrived, Dana had always been kind to her. Leaving her behind was tough.

"Dana, it's not like that. I'm moving out with Demetrius, and Mr. Smith has agreed." Sharon explained.

Dana was stunned. "How could that be?"

"It's true. He told me before he left on his business trip yesterday. Thanks for taking care of us. I'll definitely come back to visit when I can," Sharon assured her.

Dana's eyes turned red. Sharon said she'd visit, but Dana doubted it. It was clear Sharon wanted to distance herself from Seb.

Dana wiped her eyes and turned away, saying, "There's still a dish in the kitchen. I'll go get it."

Watching Dana walk away, Sharon felt a pang of sadness. But she knew she couldn't stay here forever; leaving was inevitable.

After lunch, Sharon and Demetrius left without asking the driver to take them. Dana watched the car disappear, her eyes blurry with tears and her heart heavy.

Next to her, Dora snorted, "Finally, she's gone. It looks like Sharon failed to seduce Mr. Smith. Well, Mr. Smith wouldn't be interested in someone as scheming as Sharon."

"Dora, shut up! Whether Mr. Smith likes Ms. Roach or not, he will never like you. So stop wasting your time!" Dana snapped.

Dora pouted and turned away, saying nothing more. Dana ignored her and went back to clean Sharon's room.

As soon as Dana stepped into the room, she saw a deed, a set of keys, and a bank card on the bed. She was stunned. Not daring to handle these things casually, she quickly contacted Seb.

Sharon and Demetrius had just settled into the hotel when she got a call from Seb.

"Why didn't you accept the villa I gave you? And what's with leaving the bank card?" Seb asked, his voice cold.

Sharon lowered her eyes and said slowly, "Mr. Smith, I've thought it over. I don't need your compensation, and I can buy a villa myself. As for the bank card, the money in it should cover the losses Silvercrest Group incurred."

There was a few seconds of silence before Seb's cold voice came through, "What do you mean by this? Are you planning to cut ties with me completely?"

"We never had any relationship to begin with, did we? But don't worry, you're Demetrius's father, and that won't change. If you want to see him, just call me anytime. I won't stop you," Sharon replied calmly.

As soon as she finished talking, Seb hung up. Clearly, he was pissed.

Sharon calmly put her phone away and started browsing for houses on her laptop. Since she couldn't leave Metropolis just yet, she had to think about buying a house.

Meanwhile, Alex got wind that Sharon had left Seb's villa with Demetrius. A sinister grin spread across his face. "Looks like even the God is on my side," he muttered.

He'd been stressing about how to get into Seb's villa to snatch Demetrius, but now Sharon had moved out with him, and Seb was away on business. This was the perfect chance!

"When do you want us to move?" a voice asked.

"Tonight. We'll trade the kid for the money," Alex replied. After ending the call, he stood up, grabbed a bottle of red wine from the cabinet, and poured himself a glass, smiling.

Soon, Seb would be begging to hand over his shares. The thought made Alex's smile even wider.

In the evening, after checking out a few potential houses online, Sharon decided to visit them in person the next morning. Seeing that Sharon had finally taken a break from the computer, Demetrius walked over and hugged her arm. "Mom, I'm hungry."

Sharon checked the time and realized it was already past six. "Demetrius, I'm sorry. I got so caught up that I lost track of time. I'll order some food right away." She called to order two dinners, then got up to stretch and took out toiletries from the suitcase, planning to take a bath and rest after dinner. She hadn't slept much the previous night, thinking about leaving today.

Soon, there was a knock on the door. "Hello, room service."

Sharon was surprised at how quickly the food arrived. She got up and walked to the door, looking through the peephole to see a hotel staff member holding two dinners. She opened the door and was about to take the dinners when suddenly a hand shot out, pushing the attendant into the room and barging in.

Everything happened in a flash. Before Sharon could react, a sharp knife was pressed against her neck. The room service attendant, trembling with fear, was quickly knocked unconscious by the intruder.

"Ms. Roach, someone wants to see you. Please come with us, along with your son," the intruder said.

Sharon bit her lip, forcing herself to stay calm. "Who sent you?"

"You'll find out soon enough. Just cooperate, and I guarantee you won't be harmed. But if you try anything smart, I won't show mercy with the knife in my hand," the intruder warned.

A few more people came in, and a scar-faced, burly man named Lloyd coldly said, "Joe, stop wasting time. Knock them out and take them away!"

Before Sharon could resist, a sharp pain hit the back of her neck, and she blacked out.

Demetrius had just come out of the room when he saw Sharon being knocked out, and he started crying loudly. "Mom! Mom!"

Joe glared at him. "Kid, if you keep crying, I'll knock you out too!"

Demetrius's crying paused for a moment but soon grew louder.

Lloyd impatiently shouted, "Knock the kid out too and hurry up!"

Joe covered Demetrius's mouth and struck the back of his neck, causing Demetrius to pass out. Then they quickly hid Sharon and Demetrius in a prepared food cart and swiftly moved them to the hotel's back door.

A car was already waiting at the back door. After Sharon and Demetrius were thrown into the car, it sped away, disappearing into the night.
