Chapter 396 Consider It Your Gift to Me
Sharon's eyes widened in surprise.
"You went to an auction last week?" she asked, looking up at him.
Seb nodded. "Yeah, a client of mine is into antiques. There was an auction in Metropolis, so I snagged a couple of tickets to butter him up. I saw this necklace and thought it'd be perfect for your birthday."
"Why are you giving it to me now then?" Sharon asked, puzzled.
Seb shrugged. "Figured I'd give it to you anyway, so why wait?"
Sharon felt a wave of warmth wash over her, and she couldn't help but smile, a small dimple appearing on her cheek. "Seb, thank you."
Seb raised an eyebrow and wrapped an arm around her waist, a hint of mischief in his voice. "Just a thank you?"
Sharon blushed. "What else do you want?"
Seb's eyes dropped to her lips, his gaze deepening. "A kiss will do."
"What?" Sharon asked, confused.
Before she could react, Seb's face was suddenly inches from hers, and then his lips were on hers.
Sharon's eyes widened, and she clutched at his suit, her body freezing as if an electric current had passed through her.
Realizing they were at the entrance of a busy mall, Sharon quickly pushed him away, her earlobes burning with embarrassment as she noticed the onlookers.
Seb chuckled at her shyness and whispered, "Consider that your thank you gift."
Sharon glared at him, lifted her skirt, and hurried towards the car parked by the roadside, her head down.
Seb watched her flee, chuckling to himself before following her. Neither of them noticed someone snapping a photo of the moment.
Half an hour later, they arrived at the entrance of the Bridges Villa. Paul was already waiting at the door. As soon as he saw Seb's car, he walked up.
"Mr. Smith, here's the Heart of the Sea Blue you asked for," Paul said, handing over a deep blue jewelry box.
Seb took the box and nodded. "Thanks, Paul. You can go now."
After Paul left, Seb handed the jewelry box to Sharon. "See if you like it."
Sharon opened the box to reveal a stunning sapphire necklace. The central sapphire was cut into a shell shape, surrounded by countless small diamonds, making it even more breathtaking.
"It's so beautiful!" Sharon exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with amazement. The necklace she was wearing paled in comparison, and the shape of the sapphire complemented her dress perfectly.
Seb smiled, pleased with her reaction. "Let me put it on for you."
"Okay," Sharon agreed.
Seb removed her original necklace and carefully put on the Heart of the Sea Blue for her.
"How does it look? Is it pretty?" Sharon asked, looking up at him.
Seb stared at her neck for a few seconds, his voice low and hoarse. "Stunning."
Meeting his eyes filled with desire, Sharon felt her heart skip a beat. She instinctively reached for the car door, but Seb was faster.
As she turned, he grabbed her waist and pulled her into his arms, his kiss leaving her breathless.
It wasn't until she was about to pass out that Seb finally let her go, but his lips lingered near hers, the atmosphere in the car growing more intimate.
Sharon's cheeks were flushed, her breathing rapid. She barely managed to regain her composure. "Seb, stop it. If you keep this up, we'll be late for the party."
