Chapter 333 Don't Distract Mr. Smith

Seb's face was stone-cold. "You got three seconds to spill the beans. If you don't, I'll make sure you end up overseas collecting your son's body."

Glenn's face went pale, and his voice shook with fear. "Okay, okay, they all went up the mountain."

"You better not be lying, or you'll regret it," Seb shot back.

Seb left a few guys to keep an eye on Glenn and took the rest of the crew up the mountain. Behind the old flour mill was a decent-sized hill. It was late fall, and the leaves were turning yellow and dropping. The place looked abandoned and kinda creepy.

Seb's face was set in a hard line, and he had this icy vibe going on.

Meanwhile, Sharon had been searching the flour mill for ages but couldn't find any sign of Demetrius. Instead, she bumped into Seb's guys.

"Ms. Roach, what are you doing here?" one of them asked.

"Where's Seb?" Sharon demanded.

"We just caught someone. Mr. Smith is now..." Before he could finish, another guy nudged him, and he quickly changed his tune. "I've been looking for Mr. Demetrius Smith here. I have no idea where Mr. Smith went."

"Do you know something? Did something happen to Demetrius?" Sharon asked, her face full of panic, totally unlike her usual calm self.

"No, we haven't found him yet," the guy replied.

"Then why were you hesitating just now? If you have any news, please tell me. I'm begging you!" Sharon pleaded.

Seeing Sharon about to drop to her knees, the two guys freaked out and quickly reached out to stop her.

"Ms. Roach, please don't do this. Mr. Demetrius Smith is really fine," one of them assured her.

"If he's fine, then why were you hesitating earlier?" Sharon pressed.

"It's just... I'll tell you. Mr. Demetrius Smith might have escaped to the mountain. Mr. Smith took people up there, but the kidnappers have guns, so Ms. Roach, it's best if you don't go up the mountain. Wait for Mr. Smith..." Before he could finish, Sharon had already turned and bolted towards the mountain.

The guys chased after her. If Seb found out they let Sharon go up the mountain, they'd be in deep trouble. Even though Sharon looked delicate, she ran like the wind. The guys, who worked out regularly, actually couldn't keep up with her.

They were getting worried. With Demetrius still missing, if something happened to Sharon, Seb would never forgive them.

"What do we do? We can't catch up with Ms. Roach," one of them said, panting.

"Stop talking and run! She's almost out of sight!" the other replied.

Soon, Sharon was out of sight. The guys stopped, gasping for breath, and exchanged worried looks.

"Should we tell Mr. Smith?" one asked.

The other thought for a moment, then whispered, "Let's not tell him yet. We shouldn't distract Mr. Smith now, and Ms. Roach might not get into trouble."

After a quick chat, they decided not to tell Seb and to try finding Sharon first.

Once in the mountain, Sharon marked her path while searching for Demetrius. She searched for over two hours but couldn't find Demetrius or anyone else.

Her heart sank. Demetrius was so young and possibly hurt. If those people found him first... The more she thought about it, the more panicked she became. She accidentally slipped, lost her balance, and fell.

Sharon screamed as she hit the ground hard and rolled uncontrollably down the hill. Pain shot through her body, and she desperately grabbed at anything she could. Luckily, she slammed into a tree, which stopped her fall.

She lay there for a few minutes, trying to catch her breath. Slowly, she got up, using the tree for support. Her face was pale, and her clothes were torn by the bushes, making her look like a mess. She glanced up at where she had fallen from, bit her lip, and was about to climb back up when she noticed a cave hidden by shrubs nearby.

The cave entrance was on a slope, which was mostly covered by shrubs. If not for her angle, she wouldn't have seen it. She hesitated for a moment but decided to check it out. Her foot was sprained from the fall, and every step hurt like hell, but she couldn't afford to care.

She grabbed the shrubs and slowly moved towards the cave entrance. As she got closer, she saw the shrubs move. Sharon bit her lower lip, trying to calm down, and softly called towards the cave entrance, "Demetrius, are you in there?"

The shrubs at the entrance moved again, and soon Demetrius's head peeked out. Seeing Sharon, he was stunned, disbelief flashing in his eyes. "Mom."

Demetrius's hair was a mess, his face covered in mud and scratches from the shrubs. Sharon's eyes filled with pain. She was about to go over when a furious voice came from not far away.

"Lloyd, look, Sharon's over there!" one of the kidnappers shouted.

Sharon quickly turned around and saw two of the men who had kidnapped her and Demetrius running towards her, guns in hand. "Demetrius, stay inside and wait for your dad. No matter what you see, don't make a sound!" Sharon instructed in a low voice.

Then she quickly ran in the opposite direction. Lloyd and Joe had found the shrubs suspicious and decided to check them out. They didn't expect to see Sharon, and their attention was instantly drawn to her. They ignored the shrubs and ran towards her.

Sharon's injured foot slowed her down, and Lloyd and Joe quickly caught up. Just as they were about to grab her, a cold voice suddenly came from the side.

"If you dare harm her, I'll make sure you and your families are destroyed!" Seb threatened.

Lloyd and Joe froze, then Lloyd gritted his teeth. "Joe, grab her! Only by catching her can we negotiate with Seb!"

Joe quickly reacted and reached for Sharon, but she didn't give him the chance. She threw herself to the ground and rolled rapidly down the hill. The moment Seb saw her body tumbling, it felt like an invisible hand squeezed his heart. His pupils contracted, his mind went blank, and he instinctively lunged towards Sharon.

No one saw his movements clearly, but he was already beside Sharon. Sharon's eyes widened in disbelief, her voice filled with shock and panic. "Seb, are you crazy!" she exclaimed.

Seb didn't respond; he just held her tightly, trying to shield her from harm. As they rolled down the mountain, their bodies collided with rocks and branches. Sharon felt like her body was being torn apart, with unbearable pain everywhere. But she knew Seb, who was holding her tightly, must be in even more pain.

Emotions surged within her, almost overwhelming her, and tears streamed from her eyes. Why was he so foolish? He had lost his memory, and she had been opposing him all this time. But why was he still risking his life to save her?

"Seb, why..." Before she could finish, Seb's head hit a protruding rock hard. Pain surged through him, his vision went black, and a series of familiar yet strange images flashed in his mind.
