Chapter 601 The Person I Once Wanted to Spend My Life With

Sharon answered, "I really won't. I've almost forgotten how we used to like each other. By the time I realized it, feelings had already developed."

Seeing Sharon's serious expression, Sophie sighed, "Alright, looks like I'll have to rely on myself."

The two chatted for a while longer, and just as Sophie was about to leave, Seb returned.

Sophie stood up to greet Seb, and then noticed Randy following behind him. Her brows furrowed slightly before she decided to ignore him completely.

Randy's expression changed, and he was about to speak when Sophie turned to Sharon and said, "Sharon, I'm heading out."

"Okay, I'll walk you out."

"No need, I've been here so many times, I know the way."

Watching Sophie disappear through the door, Randy hesitated for a moment before turning to Seb, "Uncle Seb, I need to talk to Sophie. Give me ten minutes."

Without waiting for Seb's response, Randy hurriedly chased after Sophie.

Randy quickly reached the door just as Sophie was about to get into her car. He stepped forward to stop her.

"Sophie, we need to talk."

Sophie remained expressionless. "Mr. Smith, we've already broken up. There's nothing to talk about. Please move."

Randy looked helpless."Sophie, I've cut ties with Electra. You won't see her again. Please forgive me one more time."

Sophie found his words amusing.

"Randy, do you think I can believe you anymore?"

Randy had promised her several times that he wouldn't interact with Electra again.

And what did she get in return?

Disappointment, time and time again.

Now, Sophie didn't want to be hurt anymore, nor did she want to listen to Randy's lies.

"Sophie, I swear this is the last time."

Sophie took a deep breath, staring into his eyes, "Alright, you say it's the last time. Let's make a bet. If you can go a month without seeing Electra, I'll get back together with you. If you can't, then stop bothering me."

"Deal!"

Randy agreed immediately, thinking it was an easy task.

"Now, can you move?"

Randy didn't budge, looking down at Sophie, "Sophie, if I meet your condition, you'll get back together with me, right?"

"I will, but you need to prove it first."

"Don't worry, I can do it."

Sophie smiled and said nothing more.

Ten minutes later, Randy returned to the villa.

As soon as he walked into the living room, he noticed Seb and Sharon staring at him.

Randy paused, instinctively touching his cheek, "Uncle Seb, Ms. Roach, why are you both staring at me? Is there something on my face?"

Seb raised an eyebrow, "No, let's go to the study."

He stood up and headed to the study.

Randy quickly followed, and soon they were inside the study.

It wasn't until evening that Randy and Seb finished their work and came out of the study.

Seeing Sharon sitting on the couch watching TV, Seb walked over to her and said softly, "Sharon, you need to rest more and watch less TV."

Sharon looked up at him, "I'm not tired. Go wash some fruit for me. I want strawberries."

Seb chuckled, "Alright, I'll also tell Dana to make a couple more dishes. Randy is having dinner with us tonight."

Sharon glanced at Randy with an ambiguous expression. "Okay."

As Sophie's friend, Sharon had lost all goodwill towards Randy after learning about his ambiguous relationship with his female friend.

If Randy weren't Seb's nephew, she wouldn't have given him the time of day.

Randy seemed to sense Sharon's displeasure and sat silently across from her.

The two remained quiet until Seb returned with the fruit.

"Why aren't you talking?"

Sharon took the strawberries from his hand. "There's nothing to say."

Seb was surprised. Sharon rarely showed her likes and dislikes so openly.

He looked at Randy, "Randy, did you do something to upset Sharon?"

Randy remained silent.

He felt wronged. He hadn't seen Sharon recently, so how could he have offended her?

But thinking about Sophie visiting earlier, maybe she had told Sharon about their issues, causing Sharon to be angry on her friend's behalf.

Randy's expression became anxious.

"Ms. Roach, there's nothing between me and that friend. Sophie misunderstood."

"Then explain it to Sophie. After all, you're the one dating her."

Thinking about Sophie having dinner with another man tonight, Sharon couldn't help but smile. Randy's reaction would surely be interesting.

"I've already cut ties with that friend. Sophie said if I don't see her for a month, she'll forgive me."

Sharon bit into a strawberry and nodded, "Then good luck."

"Thanks."

Soon, dinner was ready.

They all went to the dining room, and shortly after sitting down, Randy received a call that made his face turn grim.

"Got it, I'll be right there."

He hung up and stood up, "Uncle Seb, Ms. Roach, something came up. I have to go. We'll have dinner together next time."

Watching Randy's hurried departure, Seb was surprised. Randy was usually calm, and it was rare to see him so anxious.

Sharon handed him a chicken wing. "Eat up, the food will get cold."

Seb smiled, "Alright."

Meanwhile, Randy drove to Gourmet House.

A trip that usually took over forty minutes, he made in less than thirty.

As soon as he got out of the car, he saw Sophie dining with a man by the window.

Through the glass, Randy could see Sophie's shy smile and the flirtatious glances she gave the man.

Randy's fists clenched, his blood boiling.

How could Sophie agree to forgive him if he didn't see Electra for a month, and then turn around and have dinner with another man?

Fueled by anger and sadness, Randy's face turned ashen as he stormed into the restaurant.

The hostess at the door saw his dark expression and quickly said, "Sir, we require reservations here. Are you looking for someone or..."

"Move!"

Randy's face was cold, his eyes blazing.

The hostess was frightened by his fierce gaze and instinctively stepped back. Randy brushed past her and walked inside.

The hostess quickly regained her composure and chased after him.

"Sir, we require reservations here. Sir..."

Her voice was loud enough to attract attention, including Sophie, who was chatting with her brother.

She looked up and met Randy's icy gaze, her grip on the knife and fork tightening.

Randy quickly approached Sophie, glancing at the man sitting across from her.

He looked decent; no wonder he caught Sophie's eye.

Seeing the man nervously avoid his gaze, Randy's eyes filled with disdain.

Sophie frowned. "Randy, what are you doing here?"

Randy looked down at Sophie, his voice cold, "Sophie, I should be asking you that. You promised to forgive me if I didn't see Electra for a month. Why are you having dinner with another man?"

His tone was full of jealousy, but Sophie remained unfazed.

"I did say that, but if I remember correctly, we've broken up. Who I meet and date is none of your business."

Randy's face turned grim. "Sophie, you said we broke up, but I never agreed. We're just fighting. Dating another man during our fight is unfair to him, isn't it?"

Before Sophie could respond, the man across from her spoke first, "It's okay, sir. Even if I'm just Sophie's lover, I'm willing."

His words silenced the room.

Randy laughed angrily, turning to the man, his gaze icy.

"Even as her lover, you're not qualified."

The man didn't get angry. Instead, he smiled, "Sir, whether I'm qualified isn't up to you. As long as Sophie agrees, I'm qualified."

Randy's face turned even darker, feeling powerless.

The man looked at Sophie, "Sophie, would you let me be your lover? Whether it's a month or a year, I'll wait. As long as you're not married, I won't give up."

Being looked at with such loving eyes by a gentle, handsome man, Sophie's heart fluttered. Her friends were right; the youthful energy of young people was irresistible.

Sophie pressed her lips together, about to speak, when Randy grabbed her wrist.

Before Sophie could react, Randy pulled her up from her chair and headed for the door.

After a few steps, Sophie felt another hand grab her other wrist.

"Sir, Sophie doesn't seem to want to leave with you. Please let her go."

Feeling the resistance behind her, Randy turned around.

Seeing the man's hand on Sophie's wrist, his pupils contracted.

"If you want to keep that hand, let her go now."

As Randy spoke, the temperature seemed to drop rapidly.

But the man seemed unaffected by Randy's anger, still smiling, "I won't let go until you do."

Randy took a deep breath, suppressing his anger, and stared into the man's eyes, "Judging by your age and clothes, your family isn't wealthy. Don't let your anger cause trouble for your family..."

"Randy!"

Sophie couldn't take it anymore and interrupted him, shaking off his hand, "I warn you, if you harm him, I'll never forgive you!"

Randy's eyes reddened, filled with disappointment and disbelief, "Sophie, you'd say such harsh words for this man?"

Facing Randy's heartbroken gaze, Sophie felt a pang of pain and instinctively looked away.

Though they had broken up, she couldn't be indifferent to Randy so quickly.

After all, she had truly loved him and once wanted to spend her life with him.
