Chapter 116 Seb Is Kissing Her
"Uncle Seb, snap out of it."
Sharon shoved Seb away, jumped off the bed, and eyed him warily.
She grabbed the bedside lamp, ready to knock him out if he tried anything.
Seb almost fell off the bed from her push.
He stared at her, confused. His usually cool face was flushed, and there was a spark in his eyes.
"Come here," Seb commanded.
Sharon frowned, not moving.
Seb looked dangerous, his gaze full of desire, like he might force himself on her any second.
Sharon was thinking about David's plan, her mind racing.
Tonight was Sandra's party, and David chose this moment to act, planning to make it look like she was having an affair with Seb.
No. That would disgrace the Smith family and anger Seb. David's real goal was probably to use this to blackmail Seb.
Sharon's eyes narrowed.
David had already bankrupted Robert Pharmaceuticals, and now, he was using her to get to Seb. Ruthless.
As Sharon thought, a faint pine scent hit her nose.
Her eyes widened as Seb grabbed her head, took the lamp, and tossed it behind the door.
A shadow fell over her eyes, and she felt a touch on her lips.
Sharon's eyes widened in disbelief. Seb was kissing her.
His eyes were half-closed, brows furrowed, and his hands were hot, spreading warmth through her body.
Realizing what was happening, Sharon tried to push him away, but he didn't move at all like a steel wall.
Desperate, she bit his lips hard.
Seb, in pain, let her go, his eyes growing lustful, like a lion eyeing its prey.
His bleeding lip added to his allure.
The pain brought Seb back a bit. He grabbed Sharon's chin, his eyes full of desire.
Sharon's hand gripped a needle behind her back, and she was ready to use it if he tried anything.
After a few seconds, Seb let go and quickly walked into the bathroom.
The door slammed shut, making Sharon shudder and collapse onto the bed, feeling like she had just escaped disaster.
Not wasting time, she searched the room for cameras.
She found a pinhole camera on the TV, its red light blinking.
Expressionless, Sharon unplugged it and sat on the bed, thinking.
Seb was drugged, and though he wouldn't touch her now, staying was still risky.
She walked to the window. It was on the second floor, overlooking the Smith mansion's garden. The height wasn't too bad; she could jump without getting hurt.
She glanced at the closed bathroom door, took off her shoes, and jumped over the railing.
She rolled on the grass. Apart from some pain, she wasn't hurt.
Sharon sighed in relief, put on her shoes, and was about to get up when she heard footsteps and a soft female voice from the bushes.
"Alex, I'm just here to give Sandra a gift and then I'll leave. Please don't be mad, okay?"
Recognizing Ava's voice, Sharon froze.
"Ava, I've told you before, I can't marry you. And what are you, my mistress, doing giving my grandmother a gift?"
After a pause, Ava's choked voice replied, "Alex, I don't expect you to marry me. I'm just here to thank you for finding a kidney for my dad."
"Shut up!"
Alex cut her off coldly, "Ava, if you mention this again, I won't let you off!"
"Alex."
"Leave now!"
Alex's voice was full of anger, and Ava seemed scared. After a moment, she said softly, "Alex, don't be mad. I'll leave right away."
The sound of high heels faded away, indicating Ava had left.
Soon, Alex also left.
Sharon sat motionless on the grass, hidden in the darkness.
After a long time, she raised her red eyes, filled with mockery.
No wonder Alex reacted the way he did when she suggested surgery for Robert.
He had given the kidney meant for Robert to Ava's father.
Alex knew Robert had waited two years for that kidney, yet he gave it away so easily.
Clearly, she meant nothing to Alex anymore.
David and Alex—one bankrupted Robert Pharmaceuticals and tried to set her up with Seb, the other betrayed her and gave the most important thing to Ava, who ruined their relationship.
How wonderful!
Sharon bit her lip hard, tasting blood but not letting go.
She had planned to gather evidence, hand it to the police, and then divorce Alex.
But now, she regretted it.
David and Alex had harmed her so much; she couldn't let them off easily!
Alone, she couldn't deal with Alex and David.
The simplest way was to seek help from Seb.
Sharon's eyes showed a struggle. Seb had helped her a lot, and she had feelings for him, so she didn't want to hurt him.
But now, she seemed to have no other choice.
Sharon took a deep breath, her eyes showing determination. She stood up, straightened her dress, and slowly walked towards the main hall.
As soon as she entered, Alex approached her, frowning. "Where did you go just now?"
Sharon faced his questioning gaze, her face expressionless.
"I felt a bit stuffy, so I went for a walk. Why?"
"Did you meet anyone?"
Sharon chuckled. "Should I have met someone?"
Alex visibly relaxed and said in a low voice, "No, there are many people here tonight. I was worried you might get bullied."
"Got it."
When Alex noticed Sharon's dismissive response, his face darkened, but he suppressed his displeasure, remembering it was Sandra's birthday party. "If you're free, go talk to Grandma and Mom."
Just as he finished speaking, David's cold voice came from the side.
"Alex, your grandmother is calling you."
Sharon turned to look at David, seeing the anger and suspicion in his eyes. She raised an eyebrow and smiled without saying a word.
Her smile was a blatant provocation in David's eyes.
He hadn't expected Sharon to escape and even destroy the camera he had installed.
Thinking of how Sharon had ruined his plan, David felt a surge of anger, his eyes flashing with murderous intent.
