Chapter 189 Does the Smith Family Still Want Their Face?

"That's something to think about later. Like it or not, you have to do it."

Grace's tone was threatening and confident. If Ava didn't comply, she'd lose everything.

Ava was furious. After a tense ten seconds, she said coldly, "Fine, I'll do it. But if you fail, I'll make sure Seb sees the real you!"

Ava knew Grace acted all innocent in front of Seb.

If Seb saw Grace's true colors, would he still like her?

Grace's face turned cold, but then she smirked. "Don't worry, as long as you follow my plan, you'll get what you want."

That evening, a popular marketing account posted a video that went viral.

In the video, Ava, with teary eyes, claimed she was two months pregnant and wanted a complete family for her baby. She begged Sharon to leave Alex alone.

The video ended with a photo of Alex hugging Sharon.

Soon, clueless onlookers started bashing Sharon in the comments.

[Homewrecker, go to hell! People who destroy families are disgusting!]

[Saw them hug IRL. But tbf, Sharon & Alex were married once, so it's complicated.]

[Isn't Ava also a homewrecker? How can she record this video without feeling guilty?]

The comment section was a mess, with people cursing both Sharon and Ava.

Ava then posted her marriage certificate with Alex in the comments.

[Sorry, but Mr. Smith and I are married. NMW happened before, Sharon is now wreckying my fam. My relationship with Mr. Smith is legally protected!]

Under Ava's comment, some supported her, but many mocked her for being an arrogant homewrecker turned legal wife.

The situation blew up, and Tyler found out quickly.

Seeing Ava arguing with netizens and posting her marriage certificate, Tyler was so angry he smashed a cup.

"Tell Alex to get Ava here immediately!"

Though he wasn't happy with Alex marrying Sharon, at least Sharon wouldn't cause such a scandal.

Now, Ava, posing as Alex's wife, was arguing online. Did the Smith family still care about their reputation?

The servant called Alex several times, but no one answered.

"Mr. Tyler Smith, Mr. Alex Smith isn't answering."

Tyler's face was dark with anger. "Go to the company and bring him here. Have Seb handle the online mess!"

"Yes, sir."

While the servant contacted Seb, Tyler got several calls about the online drama.

Tyler responded curtly and hung up, growing more furious.

Those people pretended to be concerned but were definitely laughing at him.

Since founding the Smith Group, Tyler had never been so humiliated. 'Alex is really a great grandson!' Tyler cursed inwardly.

Ashley, packing up her lab equipment, saw the trending topic and quickly told Sharon.

"Sharon, Ava's so shameless. She messed with your marriage and now she's cyberbullying you. The worst part is people online are actually supporting her. It's infuriating!"

Seeing Ashley's angry face, Sharon pinched her cheek. "Don't get worked up. She'll regret it soon enough."

"Aren't you gonna clear things up?"

"Of course, I will. Don't worry about me. Get ready to leave."

After Ashley left, Sharon double-checked everything, locked the lab, and headed out.

As she turned, she saw Leo waiting nearby.

Not wanting to talk, Sharon kept walking, but Leo stepped forward.

"Did you see the online stuff?"

Sharon nodded. "Yeah, what's up?"

"Need my help with it?"

"No, I got it."

Leo sighed, about to say more, when footsteps echoed down the hall.

Paul hurried over to Sharon. "Ms. Wright, Mr. Smith wants to see you."

Guessing it was about Ava's video, Sharon paused before saying, "Okay."

She didn't look at Leo again and headed for the elevator.

In Seb's office, he was reading a document.

"Give me two minutes."

Sharon sat quietly on the sofa, waiting.

Seb finished signing the document, got up, and sat across from her.

"I've had Ava's video taken down and the trending topic suppressed. There won't be any more news online, so you don't have to worry."

"Thanks, Mr. Smith."

Seb frowned. "Do you have to be so formal with me?"

Sharon stayed calm. "Mr. Smith, anything else?"

Seb's face darkened with anger.

Ignoring him, Sharon stood up to leave.

She'd only taken two steps when Seb grabbed her wrist.

Instinctively, she tried to pull away, but Seb pulled her into his arms.

Just then, the office door opened.

"Seb, I knew you were working late, so I made..."

Grace's smile froze. She dropped the lunchbox she was holding, spilling everything.

Annoyed, Sharon tried to push Seb away.

She just wanted to work and study in peace, without any more drama with Seb.

"Seb, let go!"

Seb held her tightly, not letting her go. He looked at Grace coldly.

"The Silvercrest Group Cafeteria has a cafeteria. You don't need to come over anymore."

Grace looked at Seb in disbelief, tears welling up. "Seb."

"Anything else?"

Humiliated, Grace covered her face and ran out crying.

"Can you let go now?"

Looking into Sharon's cold eyes, Seb's grip loosened.

"Sharon, I just want to talk."

Sharon didn't look back and left.

Watching her go, Seb clenched his hand, his eyes filled with mixed emotions.

As soon as Sharon reached the ground floor, Grace blocked her way.

Her eyes were red from crying.

"Ms. Wright, let's talk."
