Chapter 587 You Will Definitely Pay for What You Just Said

Darcy nodded. "Alright, I'll hit you up once I hear something."

"Okay, Darcy. I'm counting on you."

After Darcy left, Mary went back to Jeremy's bedside, sitting down and looking at his pale, unconscious face. She clasped her hands together, praying that Darcy would succeed this time.

If he failed, Carolyn definitely wouldn't let her and Ewan off the hook.

Back at the estate, Sharon returned to her bedroom, feeling a bit uneasy without knowing why. She took out her phone, ready to contact Seb, when she suddenly heard hurried footsteps outside the door.

Before Sharon could react, the door was violently pushed open, and several men in black stormed in.

Behind them was one of the estate's servants.

Sharon's fingers tightened around her phone, her voice cold. "Who are you?"

The servant looked at the leader of the men in black and said she was Carolyn's other daughter.

The leader nodded, and the men in black rushed forward, quickly subduing Sharon.

In the struggle, Sharon's phone fell to the ground.

"Who are you? Where are you taking me?"

No one answered her.

Soon, Sharon was tied up and taken out of the estate, thrown into the back seat of a stretched Lincoln, with a man in black sitting on either side of her, both staring straight ahead with expressionless faces.

Seeing that they wouldn't say a word, Sharon stopped asking questions.

After what felt like an eternity, the car finally stopped in front of a villa.

As Sharon was being led out of the car, she saw Daisy being brought out of another vehicle.

Daisy looked at her in disbelief. "Sharon, you got taken too?"

Before Sharon could respond, they were both pushed into the villa.

In the living room, Darcy sat on the couch, holding a glass of red wine, a smile playing on his lips, seemingly in a good mood.

As soon as they entered the living room, Daisy angrily confronted Darcy. "Darcy, why did you bring us here? If you don't let us go now, my mom will come after you!"

Darcy's smile widened. "When your mom comes back, she might not even be able to protect herself, let alone you."

He turned away from Daisy and instructed his men, "Lock them in the basement. Don't give them any food, just some water every few hours. Keep them alive, but that's it."

Darcy's men moved quickly, soon locking Sharon and Daisy in the basement.

The door was locked, and the basement was dimly lit by a single weak bulb, barely illuminating the surroundings.

Daisy and Sharon each stayed in their own corner, neither intending to talk to the other.

Eventually, Daisy couldn't help but look at Sharon.

"You've been silent since we got here. Aren't you afraid of what Darcy might do to us?"

Sharon glanced at her. "Is being afraid going to help?"

"Of course not."

Silence fell between them again.

Daisy couldn't stand the quiet and spoke up once more. "You don't like Andrew, do you?"

Sharon's expression remained cold. "Whether I like him or not has nothing to do with you."

"I heard from my mom that she's planning an engagement party for you and Andrew next week. If you don't like him, you should refuse!"

Sharon frowned at Daisy, not understanding what was going through her mind.

They had been kidnapped and locked in a dark, dreary place, yet Daisy wasn't thinking about how to escape or whether someone would come to rescue them. Instead, she was trying to convince Sharon not to get engaged to Andrew.

Sharon pressed her lips together, remaining silent.

"Why aren't you saying anything? Answer me!"

"I'm not talking because I don't want to. If you have the energy, you should use it to think of a way to get out of here."

Daisy pouted and said, "I'm not worried. My mom will come to save me, and Darcy won't dare do anything to me. But you, always argue with her. She might not save you."

Sharon ignored Daisy's childish behavior, leaning against the wall and closing her eyes to rest.

Since Darcy hadn't harmed them and had only locked them up, he was likely planning to use them to negotiate with Carolyn.

So, until Carolyn returned, they should be safe.

Daisy muttered to herself for a while, but seeing that Sharon truly wasn't going to respond, she gradually fell silent.

Meanwhile, at Andrew's villa.

Upon hearing about Gareth's car accident, Andrew immediately messaged Sharon, but received no reply.

After waiting for over an hour without a response, Andrew felt a growing sense of unease and contacted Seb.

"Seb, I can't reach Sharon. I think something might have happened to her."

Seb's cold voice came through the phone. "Someone I have at the estate just contacted me, saying she was taken by a man named Darcy. Do you know him?"

Andrew's face fell. "Yeah, he's with the Stoll family. He and Carolyn don't get along, and he's backing Jeremy's illegitimate son, Ewan. If Ms. Roach is with him, she's in serious trouble."

Seb hung up immediately.

Seb went straight to Ross's estate. Upon hearing that Sharon had been taken by Darcy, Ross said, "Seb, don't worry. I'll contact Darcy right away."

Ross quickly got in touch with Darcy.

Upon hearing that Ross wanted him to release Sharon, Darcy flatly refused. "Mr. Bermad, she's Carolyn's daughter. I won't let her go until Carolyn returns."

Ross frowned, his voice cold. "Darcy, are you sure you want to go against the Bermad family?"

Darcy sneered, not taking Ross's threat seriously.

"Mr. Bermad, by saying that, you're also going against the Stoll family. I want Ewan to become the head of the Stoll family. Anyone who stands in my way is against me and the entire Stoll family!"

"Don't forget, Carolyn is still the head of the Stoll family!"

Darcy's tone was mocking. "With Gareth in critical condition after the car accident, do you think she has time to manage the Stoll family?"

Ross took a deep breath, his voice icy. "Darcy, are you sure you won't release her?"

"No."

"Fine, don't regret it."

Ross hung up and turned to his secretary, his voice cold. "Gather our people and surround Darcy's villa!"

Ross found Darcy's ambition to make Jeremy's illegitimate son the head of the Stoll family laughable.

Even if Gareth couldn't inherit the Stoll family, there were many others within the family who could. Jeremy's illegitimate son had only Darcy's support and had no chance of rising to power.

Darcy was completely blinded by his infatuation with Mary, willing to do anything for her and her son, utterly foolish!

After the secretary left, Ross looked at Seb. "Seb, don't worry. I won't let anything happen to Sharon."

Seb nodded. "Ross, thank you!"

"If it weren't for you, I would have died long ago. I should be the one thanking you. Right now, the priority is to rescue Sharon."

"Alright."

Meanwhile, at a large private hospital in the south.

Carolyn arrived at the operating room just as Gareth's surgery was ending.

Seeing Gareth lying on the bed, his face as pale as a sheet, Carolyn's eyes were filled with pain.

She turned to the doctor beside her. "How is Gareth now?"

"The surgery was successful. He should wake up in a few hours."

Carolyn breathed a sigh of relief, about to speak, when her phone rang from her bag.

Seeing it was the butler, Carolyn frowned and hung up.

"Doctor, thank you!"

"It's my duty."

Carolyn was about to ask when Gareth could be discharged when her phone rang again.

Seeing it was the butler, Carolyn's face fell. She stepped aside to answer, her voice cold. "I'm busy right now. Didn't I say not to contact me unless it's urgent?"

The butler's panicked voice came through. "Mrs. Stoll, Darcy's men just took Daisy and Ms. Roach. I heard Darcy is gathering the Stoll family members for a meeting, planning to have Ewan take your place."

Carolyn sneered. "He must have a death wish. Don't worry about it. I'll be back tomorrow morning!"

She hung up and, suppressing her anger, dialed Darcy's number.

He seemed to have been waiting for her call, answering after just a few rings.

"Carolyn, what a surprise. I heard Gareth had a car accident in the south and is in surgery, his life hanging in the balance. You shouldn't have time to call me."

Carolyn sneered. "Darcy, I heard you kidnapped Daisy and Sharon?"

Darcy chuckled. "Kidnapped is such a harsh word. I just invited them over. Once you return, I'll let them go."

"I warn you, if anything happens to them, I'll make sure you die a horrible death!"

"Carolyn, why so serious? It's just a small matter."

"You took advantage of my absence to gather the Stoll family for a meeting. Is that a small matter? Darcy, don't forget, if it weren't for me, you'd still be wandering by some trash can!"

If Carolyn had known Darcy would turn against her because of Mary, she would never have let him into the Stoll family.

Darcy's eyes narrowed. "Carolyn, Jeremy was the one who promoted me, not you. Besides, many people are unhappy with your management of the Stoll family. It's time for you to step down."

"Whether I step down or not is not for you to decide! Before I return, you better release my daughters, or I won't let you off!"

Darcy laughed lightly. "If you're still the head of the Stoll family when you return, I'll listen to you. But chances are, no one will support you anymore."

"Darcy, you'll pay for your words!"

"Let's wait and see."
