Chapter 235 Sharon, I'm sorry

Sharon yanked Sophie to the end of the hallway and whispered, "This kid's Seb's."

Sophie's eyes went wide. "Seb? When did that happen?"

She thought Sharon and Seb were done for good, but now Sharon's saying she's got Seb's baby.

Sharon's eyes flickered, and she looked down. "It was a mistake. We were both wasted."

"How much did you drink to end up like that? And does Seb even know you're pregnant?"

Sharon shook her head. "He doesn't know, and he doesn't need to. I'm not getting back with him."

Sophie went quiet. For Sharon right now, this kid just couldn't stay.

"What if Seb finds out someday?"

Sharon's face was cold. "Even if he does, it won't change anything."

"Alright."

Sophie looked at her pale face, feeling sorry for her.

"Sophie, please help me sign this. This kid and I just aren't meant to be."

A hint of sadness flashed in Sharon's eyes, but she knew she couldn't keep the baby.

Sophie held her hand and whispered, "Sharon, are you sure about this?"

"Yes."

Sharon looked away, her voice firm. "I've thought it through."

"Okay."

Sophie signed the papers for Sharon and watched as she walked into the operating room without looking back. She looked so thin and lonely.

Watching her, Sophie's eyes started to tear up.

That evening, Alex was going through some documents when there was a knock on his office door.

Joseph rushed in and whispered, "Mr. Smith, Ms. Wright had an abortion today."

Alex's eyes widened. He dropped the documents and stared at Joseph.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes."

Alex frowned. "Did Seb go with her?"

Joseph shook his head. "No, Ms. Lee was with her."

Hearing this, Alex went silent. After a few seconds, he let out a cold laugh. "I see. You can go back to work."

After Joseph left, Alex picked up his phone and dialed Seb's number.

The phone rang forever without being answered. Alex wasn't in a rush; a faint smile played on his lips.

Just as the call was about to cut off, it was finally answered.

"What do you want?"

Seb's voice was cold, but Alex didn't care. He spoke with a smile. "Seb, did you know Sharon's pregnant?"

As soon as he said it, there was a sound of something crashing on the other end, and then the call cut off.

Alex's smile grew, and he didn't call back.

He knew Seb would soon find out about Sharon's pregnancy and her abortion today.

Thinking about Seb's reaction, Alex felt a surge of satisfaction, a sense of payback.

Considering how Seb had been on his case lately, he felt a sense of relief!

When the knock on the door came, Sharon was resting in her bedroom, while Sophie was in the kitchen making soup for her.

Sophie walked to the door and saw Seb standing there, her face changed.

Seb's face was tense, and he had this chilling vibe, like a grim reaper, making people shiver.

It seemed he had found out about Sharon's abortion.

Sophie took a step back, unsure whether to open the door, but the knocking continued.

The noise was giving Sharon a headache. She got up and slowly walked out of the bedroom, asking Sophie at the door, "Sophie, who's that?"

Sophie turned to look at her and whispered, "It's Seb."

Sharon's grip on the door frame turned white, and her already pale face looked even worse.

After a few seconds of silence, she slowly said, "Let him in."

Since Seb knew about it, she couldn't dodge this. She couldn't hide forever.

"But you..."

Sophie's eyes drifted to her abdomen, full of worry.

Sharon forced a smile. "It's okay."

The moment she found out she was pregnant, she knew this day would come.

"Alright."

Sophie opened the door and immediately felt a chill run down her spine.

Facing Seb directly, she felt a thousand times more pressure than when she looked through the peephole, and a coldness rose from her feet.

Seb's eyes were calm, and his face showed no expression, but Sophie could feel the anger simmering beneath his calm exterior, ready to explode.

"Seb, Sharon, she..."

Before she could finish, Seb pushed past Sophie and walked in.

Seeing Sharon leaning against the door frame, her face pale, Seb stopped in his tracks, his hand clenching at his side.

Anyone could see Seb's anger at that moment.

Sophie quickly stepped in front of Sharon, protectively shielding her.

"Seb, if you want to do something, come at me. I signed the papers. Sharon is weak right now, you..."

"Get out!"

Seb coldly interrupted Sophie, his gaze icy and terrifying, with a hint of bloodthirsty glint in his eyes.

Sophie had never seen such a terrifying Seb before. She shook a little but still stood firmly in front of Sharon.

Seeing her slightly trembling body, Sharon felt touched.

Even though Sophie was scared, she still stood in front of her without hesitation to protect her.

"Sophie, I think the food in the kitchen is burning. Can you check on it?"

Sophie bit her lip and whispered, "Who cares about that right now."

"It's okay, don't worry. I need to explain this to him."

Sophie hesitated for a moment but eventually nodded. "Alright, but if he does anything to you, call me."

"Okay."

After Sophie left, the living room fell into silence.

Seb stared at Sharon's pale face, his whole body tense, seemingly suppressing something.

After a long time, Seb suddenly walked towards her.

The distance between them gradually shortened, and Sharon's grip on the door frame tightened.

Taking a deep breath, Sharon looked at Seb and slowly said, "Mr. Smith, this child came at the wrong time, and we are already over. I have the right to decide whether to keep this child or not."

Before she could finish, Seb was already in front of her.

Sharon's heart tightened. Just as she thought Seb was going to do something to hurt her, he gently picked her up.

His movements were gentle, as if handling a rare treasure.

Sharon was stunned for a moment and instinctively tried to struggle, but Seb held her tighter.

"Don't move!"

Noticing the slight tremble in Seb's voice, Sharon bit her lip.

They were very close, and Sharon could see his tense jawline and reddened eyes.

Her decision to abort the child must have been a huge blow to Seb.

Seb, with a suppressed expression, carried Sharon into the bedroom and gently placed her on the bed, covering her with a blanket.

"Sharon, I'm sorry."
