Chapter 304 I'll Give You One Minute to Think
Rufus shook his head, "I don't know either."
Sharon grabbed Seb and coldly questioned, "Where's Demetrius?"
Seb, looking impatient, shook off Sharon's hand, "I told you, he's safe now."
"I don't believe you!" Sharon shouted, her voice trembling with anger. "Unless you let me see him!"
Seeing her persistence, Seb's last bit of patience ran out. He looked at Rufus and said, "Handle this!"
With that, he opened the car door and got in.
Sharon tried to chase after him, but Rufus stopped her, saying, "Ms. Roach, even if you catch up, it won't help. I can assure you that Demetrius is really safe now. You don't need to worry."
"No need to worry?" Sharon looked coldly at Rufus, "If it were your child suddenly taken from home, could you not worry? Mr. Warren, do you think what Mr. Smith did is right?"
Rufus was left speechless for a moment, looking somewhat helpless, "Ms. Roach, I'm just a secretary, I can only follow Mr. Smith's orders."
"Fine, I won't make it hard for you. I'll just stay here until he lets me see Demetrius."
Rufus said, "Okay, but Mr. Smith isn't gonna change his mind for anyone. Even if you stay here for a year, he won't agree to let you see Demetrius."
Meanwhile, when Seb arrived at the hospital, Demetrius's wounds had been bandaged, and he had been moved to a ward.
Seeing Demetrius's casted arm and the bruises on his face and body, Seb's eyes darkened.
The servant saw him and quickly stood up, "Mr. Smith."
Seb's expression was indifferent, "You can go now."
"Okay."
After the servant left, the ward fell silent. Demetrius turned his head away, refusing to look at Seb.
Seb uttered, "Do you think by starving yourself and threatening to jump, I'll let you go back to your mom?"
Demetrius ignored him, staring blankly out the window, his profile almost identical to Seb's.
Seb leaned in closer, "Do you still refuse to eat?"
Demetrius glanced at him, "None of your business! I'd rather starve than eat your food! You're just a kidnapper!"
Seeing his angry face, Seb didn't get mad. Instead, he called Rufus and asked him to buy some food to the hospital.
Demetrius said defiantly, "Even if you bring it, I won't eat it!"
Seb raised an eyebrow, "Who said it's for you? I've been working all day, I'm hungry too."
Demetrius was momentarily speechless, turning his head to show Seb the back of his head, still in a bad mood.
In less than half an hour, Rufus walked into the ward with several bags of food.
"Mr. Smith, I bought these for you."
Seb nodded, "Good, give it to me."
Seb took the bags and opened them, and the aroma of the food quickly filled the ward.
Demetrius, who hadn't eaten all day, couldn't help but swallow when he smelled the food.
Seb took a bite of a fried chicken leg, chewing as he said, "So delicious!"
Demetrius turned his head angrily, "Can you eat somewhere else? You're bothering me!"
Seb shrugged nonchalantly. "No."
Demetrius felt speechless again.
He glanced at the chicken leg in Seb's hand but quickly looked away. He had to resist; he wanted to see his mom more than he wanted the chicken leg.
Seb ate several kinds of food, and Demetrius didn't turn around, which made Seb somewhat impressed at Demetruius' willpower at just over four years old.
Seb picked up the last chicken leg and deliberately waved it in front of Demetrius, "Are you sure you don't want to eat?"
"I've made myself clear!" He turned his head away, determined not to be tempted by the food.
"Even if you starve yourself, I won't let you see your mom. Are you sure you want to torture yourself like this?" Seb said.
Demetrius shot back, "None of your business!"
"Fine, let's see how long you can hold out." Seb shrugged, heading for the door.
Over the next few days, Demetrius refused to eat. His once chubby face quickly thinned, and he became extremely pale.
Even when Seb had people force-feed him, Demetrius would immediately vomit it out.
Seeing Demetrius's condition worsen day by day, the doctor called Seb to the hospital, "Mr. Smith, Demetrius already has a fracture. If he continues not to eat, his body will have problems, and his wounds will heal very slowly."
Seb's face was grim. He had tried everything, but Demetrius just wouldn't eat because he wanted to go back to Sharon.
Seeing Seb's silence, the doctor sighed, "Mr. Smith?"
Seb nodded, determination in his eyes. "Got it. I'll find a way to get him to eat today," he said firmly.
Seb took out his phone and called Sharon, coldly saying, "Tranquil Healing Hospital, third floor of the inpatient department. If you want to see Demetrius, come immediately."
Hearing that Demetrius was in the hospital, Sharon's voice became frantic, "What's wrong with Demetrius? Why is he in the hospital?"
"You'll know when you get here." With that, Seb hung up and thought about what to do next with a grim face.
Letting Demetrius go back to Aidamore with Sharon was impossible; that would only put him in danger again. Seb believed Sharon couldn't protect Demetrius well.
Sharon arrived quickly. The moment she saw Seb, she ran up to him, "What's wrong with Demetrius?"
Seb looked down at her. Sharon was panting, clearly in a hurry, her eyes full of worry for Demetrius.
"Nothing serious, he just jumped from the second floor, broke his arm, and has been refusing to eat for days to see you," Seb said with a shrug.
Hearing that, Sharon gasped, her voice rising, "Jumped from the second floor? You call that nothing serious?"
Facing her questioning gaze, Seb felt a moment of guilt for some reason.
But in a moment, his gaze turned cold, "I called you here, not to question me."
Sharon looked at him angrily, "When Demetrius was with me, he rarely even fell off a chair. Now, after just a few days with you, he jumps from the second floor? Shouldn't I question you?"
"Do you want to see him or not?"
At these words, Sharon's face turned extremely ugly. "Which ward is he in?"
"I can let you see him, but you must agree to one condition."
"What?"
"I won't let Demetrius stay with you anymore. So if you want to be with him, you must move to my villa."
As soon as he finished speaking, Sharon coldly refused, "No way! I won't agree!"
Seb's face turned cold, "You can't protect Demetrius well. If you take him away, he'll be taken from you again. If you don't agree, I won't let you see Demetrius again."
"Who do you think you are to do this?" Sharon questioned with a sullen face.
Facing Sharon's angry eyes, Seb said in a deep voice, "I'm Demetrius's father. I'll give you one minute to think. This is your only chance to stay with Demetrius."
