Chapter 535 Our Boss Wants to Meet You

"I overheard something earlier. Seems like Sharon's got some blood ties with someone in the Stoll family, but I don't know who exactly."

Honestly, he didn't even know who the Stoll family members were.

He'd only heard of the family but had never met any of them.

Word was, even Jesse had to book an appointment to meet someone from that family.

Seb's eyes darkened. His first thought was Sharon's mom. After her divorce from Robert, she had quickly moved abroad.

Could it be that she had somehow become a significant member of the Stoll family, which is why Jesse was after Sharon?

He looked up at Daniel. "Got it. Anything else you know?"

"Jesse's pretty secretive around me, so he never spills much. But I did get close to one of his confidants. One time, while we were drinking, his confidant let it slip that Jesse's plan is to marry Sharon to get into the Stoll family."

If Sharon really was related to a core member of the Stoll family, marrying her could indeed be a way to get into the family.

As soon as Daniel finished speaking, he noticed the atmosphere around them turn icy cold.

He couldn't help but shiver and instinctively looked at Seb, whose face had turned extremely grim, startling him.

But he quickly understood. Hearing that another man wanted to take his wife would make any man furious.

"Mr. Smith, that's all I know. I don't have any other information."

Seb looked at him, his eyes devoid of warmth. "You sure you're not holding anything back?"

"I'm sure. I'm already on your side. Why would I hide anything? The more you know about Jesse, the better it is for me, right?"

If Seb knew nothing about Jesse, going up against him would be a dead end.

At least now Seb knew some things about Jesse and could find ways to deal with him.

"Got it. You can go now."

"But... what should I do after this? What if Jesse comes looking for me?"

He had told Seb everything. If Seb didn't protect him, Jesse would never let him go.

"Don't worry. I'll arrange for someone to protect you. Jesse won't get another chance to see you."

"Really?" Daniel's face lit up with joy. "Mr. Smith, please make sure to send enough people to protect me. Jesse has a lot of connections here."

Seb frowned. "What connections does he have?"

Daniel hesitated for a moment before replying, "A lot. I'll write you a list, but these are just the ones I know. There are probably more."

Seb's expression turned colder. "Alright."

Daniel took a piece of paper and a pen and wrote down the names he remembered.

Looking at the dozen or so names on the paper, all well-known in the business and political circles, Seb's gaze grew even more serious.

"These are the ones I remember. There might be more... It's going to be tough to go up against him."

If he hadn't been desperate to escape Jesse's control, he wouldn't have chosen to side with Seb, even though he wasn't very hopeful about Seb's chances.

"If you remember anything else, contact me anytime."

"Okay. Do I need to head back to the Thomas Villa?"

"No need. Someone will come to get you soon. Just go with them."

Daniel nodded. "Alright. Take care."

Once Seb's people had him protected, he planned to find a way to escape the country, change his identity a few times, and hide in a rural area. Even if Jesse wanted to find him, it would be nearly impossible.

"Got it."

After Daniel left, Seb circled the names of the business figures on the paper, crossed out a few, and sent the remaining names to Paul, asking him to arrange meetings with them.

Even after doing this, Seb's tense expression didn't relax at all.

Jesse was even harder to deal with than he had imagined. His network in Metropolis was extensive, and he had been laying the groundwork for years.

Had he known about Sharon's background all those years ago?

More and more questions filled Seb's mind, and his gaze grew colder.

No matter what, he would never let anyone disrupt their peaceful life!

In the evening, Sharon went to pick up Demetrius from school. Halfway there, her car was stopped.

Several men in black approached the car and looked at Sharon. "Ms. Roach, our boss wants to meet you."

Sharon's face turned cold, and she didn't get out of the car.

"Who is your boss?"

"You'll know if you come with us."

Sharon's grip on the steering wheel tightened, a wave of unease washing over her. "I'm not going with you. You have ten seconds to leave, or I'll call the police."

The man in black chuckled. "Ms. Roach, feel free to call the police."

Sharon's heart sank. Did he mean that calling the police wouldn't help?

She picked up her phone and dialed Seb's number.

But after a while, there was no response.

She looked at her phone and realized it had no signal.

Seeing her pale face, the man in black smiled. "Ms. Roach, don't worry. Our boss means no harm. He just wants to meet you and promises not to do anything to you."

Sharon sneered. "Messing with my phone, and you call that not doing anything? If he wants to meet me, why doesn't he come himself? Why make me go to him? This is practically kidnapping!"

The man frowned, hesitated for a moment, then stepped aside to make a call.

About a minute later, he returned to the car. "Ms. Roach, our boss will be here in ten minutes."

Sharon fell silent.

She suspected these people were crazy.

And their boss was even crazier.

But her car was surrounded, and there was no way to break through.

And her phone had no signal, thanks to whatever they had done.

During the ten-minute wait, Sharon thought of all the possible outcomes for herself. Just as she was about to leave a message in her phone's notes, the so-called boss of the men in black arrived.

He was dressed in a white suit, with a perfect physique, long legs, and wearing sunglasses. Despite his appearance, which was more fitting for a model than a kidnapper, he walked over to Sharon's car, saw it surrounded, and removed his sunglasses. His narrow eyes glared coldly at the men. "I asked you to invite her to meet me, and this is how you do it?"
