Chapter 66 Do You Love Him That Much
Sensing Sharon's struggle in front of him, Seb paused and suddenly let her go.
Seething with anger, she yearned to strike him, yet the memory of his recent lifesaving act held her back. All she could do was bite her lip in silent indignation, nursing her deep sense of injustice.
What did Seb think of her?
He clearly knew she was Alex's wife, his nephew's wife, yet he still did this to her!
The more Sharon thought about it, the more aggrieved she felt, and tears began to fall.
The men of the Smith family, not a single one of them was decent!
In the darkness, hearing Sharon's low sobs, Seb's eyes darkened, and a cold aura emanated from him. "Weren't you avoiding Alex before, even wanting a divorce? Why were you laughing and having dinner with him today?"
His questioning tone made Sharon frown.
Although he had saved her earlier, what he had just done and the questions he was asking now were way out of line.
She took a deep breath, wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes, and said coldly, "Uncle Seb, Alex and I are married. Having dinner together is normal. But you, Uncle Seb, as an elder, doing this to your nephew's wife, don't you think it's too much?"
Seb's voice was cold. "Too much? Wasn't it you who seduced me first?"
Sharon instinctively retorted, "When did I..."
Suddenly, she stopped abruptly, remembering the night she found out Alex was cheating and walked into the wrong room.
Seeing her fall silent, Seb coldly spoke again, "Why aren't you saying anything?"
"I've already explained that the incident at the hotel that night was an accident. If you don't believe me, Uncle Seb, there's nothing I can do."
"Whether it was an accident or not, it happened."
Sharon's face stiffened.
He was trying to cling to her.
She said, "As long as it didn't go all the way, it doesn't count."
Seb said, "So you're saying I can do whatever I want to you, as long as it doesn't go all the way, you can pretend nothing happened?"
"You're twisting my words. I've already explained that night. Believe it or not, I appreciate you saving me, but that doesn't give you the right to do whatever you want with me," after speaking, Sharon pushed him away and tried to leave, but as soon as her hand touched the doorknob, Seb pulled her back.
His voice was filled with anger. "Alex's woman is already pregnant. Soon, the child will be born. Can you tolerate another woman giving birth to his child and even sharing a man with her?"
Sharon took a deep breath, shook him off, and said coldly, "That's my concerns. You don't need to worry about it, Uncle Seb."
"You love him so much that you'll forgive him even if he cheats, right?"
"Yes!" Sharon's voice was full of determination.
She needed to find out the truth about Robert Pharmaceuticals, and to do that, she had to go back to Alex.
And she and Seb were simply impossible.
He had helped her many times, and this time he had saved her life. It would be a lie to say she wasn't moved.
Any woman would be moved by such an excellent man who had helped her so much. But she could only be moved.
When she returned to the Smith family, she would bury this feeling deep in her heart, never to see the light of day.
There could and should be nothing more between her and Seb.
As Sharon finished her words , the entire private room fell into a suffocating silence.
After a while, maybe just a few seconds, Seb's cold, bone-chilling voice broke the silence. "Get out!"
His tone was filled with disgust, and Sharon couldn't help but tremble. She quickly opened the door and left.
She went to the bathroom, washed her face with cold water, and looked at her red-eyed reflection in the mirror, unable to suppress a bitter smile.
Seb was likely repulsed, bound to revert to his prior cold demeanor when they crossed paths again. But it didn't matter. They were never meant to interact to begin with.
Once her emotions calmed down and her eyes were no longer as red, Sharon left the bathroom.
Returning to her seat across from Alex, she had just sat down when his gaze fell on her swollen lips.
"Sharon, what happened to your mouth?" Alex's gaze was dark, and his expression was terrifyingly cold.
Sharon's current appearance looked like she had been loved by someone.
And with Seb also in this restaurant, Alex couldn't help but think more.
Sharon remained calm. "I noticed my lipstick was smudged when I looked in the mirror, so I washed it off. I guess I was too rough, so it got swollen."
"Really?" Alex's gaze was fixed on her, full of suspicion.
Sharon frowned and her expression turned cold. "What do you mean by that interrogative tone?"
Seeing her neither guilty nor flustered, but rather confident, Alex suppressed his suspicion. "Sharon, I'm sorry. I was just worried about you, so my tone was a bit urgent."
Sharon sneered, "Is that concern? How is it different from interrogating a criminal?"
After speaking, she picked up her bag and turned to leave.
She had just reached the restaurant entrance when Alex caught up to her. "Sharon, I'm sorry. I really was too much just now. Please forgive me this time, okay?"
Her face was cold and she didn't speak, but she did stop walking.
Alex said, "You know Uncle Seb is interested in you. I was just worried he might do something to you. After all, when he goes crazy, no one can stop him."
Sharon lowered her head, feeling a sense of irony.
Alex wnet crazy just as much.
Sharon said, "I'll keep my distance from him, but if you doubt me without reason again, I won't pay any attention to you."
Seeing her attitude soften, Alex finally sighed in relief and quickly promised, "I won't do it again."
Now that Sharon had just agreed to move back, he didn't want their relationship to plummet to freezing point over this.
As they were talking, a group of men in suits walked out of the restaurant.
Leading them was Seb, his expression extremely grim, exuding an aura that kept others at a distance.
Seeing Seb, Alex frowned and wanted to shield Sharon, but Seb didn't even look at them and left directly.
Alex frowned, wondering if it was his illusion, but he felt Seb was in a bad mood.
However, he didn't think much of it, guessing that Seb's business deal might not have gone well tonight.
He said, "Sharon, let me take you home."
"Okay." Sharon was indifferent, but her hands at her sides slowly clenched.
After dropping her off downstairs, Alex reluctantly said, "Sharon, I really don't want to let you go. Why don't you move back tonight? I'll have the maid come to pack your things tomorrow."
Seeing the eagerness in his eyes, Sharon frowned. "No need. I don't like people touching my things."
Alex knew her personality and had to compromise. "Alright then."
Sharon added, "By the way, although I agreed to move back, I want to sleep in separate rooms. When you deal with that woman outside, I'll consider moving back to the bedroom. And without my permission, you can't be intimate with me."
