Chapter 311 Photo
Zachary glanced at her, wanting to ask if she could really go through with dealing with Seb.
But he kept his mouth shut.
He hoped Sharon was truly over Seb.
When Sharon finally got back to the villa, it was already super late.
As soon as she walked into the living room, she saw Seb chilling on the sofa.
She was a bit surprised he was still up and decided to speak first, "Mr. Smith, burning the midnight oil?"
Seb turned his head, his cold gaze landing on her like a ton of bricks, "So you know it's late."
Catching the sarcasm, Sharon frowned, "Mr. Smith, if I remember right, you don't have a say in my personal life."
"Of course, I don't. Just remember you're a mom now. Even if you're out dating, keep an eye on the time. Demetrius waited up for you and Dana only got him to sleep half an hour ago."
Sharon hadn't expected Demetrius to wait up for her, and a flash of guilt crossed her face.
"I'll make sure it doesn't happen again."
Seeing Seb's sour expression and no more words, Sharon changed her shoes and headed straight upstairs.
The living room went quiet again. Seb was about to head back to his study when his phone rang.
As soon as he picked up, Rufus's serious voice came through, "Mr. Smith, someone snapped photos of Ms. Roach meeting Mr. Cook at a hotel and entering the villa. They sent them to the biggest entertainment paper in Metropolis. The reporter knows me, so they reached out. Should we shut it down?"
Seb pinched the bridge of his nose and said coldly, "Shut it down! And find out who sent the photos."
In less than half an hour, Rufus had the whole story and called back. "Mr. Smith, the photos were taken by Ms. Walker, and..." Rufus hesitated, unsure if he should mention Rebecca hiring a male model.
The mother of Seb's kid was dating another guy, and his fiancée was hiring male models. Rufus thought Seb was actually pretty unlucky.
Seb's face went cold, his voice icy, "And what?"
Rufus gritted his teeth and said, "And tonight, Ms. Walker also hired a male model, which is why she ran into Ms. Roach at the hotel."
As soon as Rufus finished, there was dead silence on the other end.
Rufus immediately regretted saying anything.
After a moment, Seb's voice came through, "Get someone to snap a few photos of her with that male model and send them to the paper."
"Mr. Smith, won't this tick off the Walker family? And your engagement with Ms. Walker isn't publicly called off yet. This could hurt your rep."
"Do as I say." With that, Seb hung up.
Early the next morning, Rebecca was still half-asleep when her phone rang.
She picked it up and saw it was her bestie, frowning.
Last night, she had been with the male model until midnight, and now she was so tired she could barely open her eyes.
Rebecca answered, her voice hoarse, "Ruby, I'm really beat right now. If it's not urgent, can you call me at noon..."
Ruby Cruz cut her off, her voice almost frantic, "Rebecca, you're the talk of the town right now!"
Hearing that, Rebecca was stunned for a moment, then suddenly sat up, her expression excited, "Is it about Sharon messing with my relationship with Seb being exposed?"
"No, it's about you and that male model. The photos are everywhere online, and some are pretty revealing. People are tearing you apart."
"What? No way!" Rebecca was in shock.
Today's big news was supposed to be about Sharon dating two guys at once. How did it flip to her with a male model?
And revealing photos?
She quickly looked to the other side of the bed, which was empty, and her face turned sour.
"Ruby, I gotta handle something. Talk later."
She hung up and immediately tried calling the male model, but it went straight to voicemail.
'Damn it! I got set up! No way I'm letting him get away with this!' Rebecca fumed inside.
As she frantically thought about how to fix this mess, her phone rang again.
Seeing it was Lowell calling, Rebecca shivered and tossed the phone aside, too scared to answer.
Lowell and Alisha must've seen the photos by now. Answering would only make things worse.
Even though she was wild in private, the Walker family had strict rules. Since getting engaged to Seb, Lowell had warned her to stay away from other men. And yet here she was, causing a mess like this. They must be livid.
On the other end, Lowell had called Rebecca over ten times with no answer, finally smashing his phone in anger. "Find out where Rebecca is! I'll go get her myself!"
Seeing Lowell's furious expression, Alisha grabbed his arm, "This isn't all Rebecca's fault. Seb's to blame too!"
Lowell shook her off, "Stop with the excuses. Do you realize how much trouble Rebecca has caused? Now everyone in Metropolis knows she cheated! How are we supposed to face the Smith family?"
Alisha stumbled but caught herself, snapping back, "He has an illegitimate child with another woman and still got engaged to my daughter!"
Her words plunged the room into an eerie silence.
"What are you talking about? Seb has an illegitimate child?" Lowell stared at Alisha, eyes wide in disbelief.
"Yes," Alisha confirmed, her voice steady. "He even moved that child and the woman into his villa. If he cared about the Walker family or Rebecca, he wouldn't have done that! He wronged Rebecca first!"
Lowell stayed silent for a long time. Finally, he said coldly, "No matter what, find Rebecca first. We'll deal with the rest later!"
"You have to stand up for Rebecca!" Alisha demanded, her eyes pleading.
Lowell shot her a cold look, "Stand up for her? If you had told me this earlier, Rebecca wouldn't have done something so disgraceful. I could've gone to the Smith family for justice. Now that Rebecca's done something so shameful, what do you expect me to do? I'm embarrassed!"
With that, Lowell stormed out.
The Walker Group was in chaos, with many people eager to see the family fall.
Meanwhile, in the president's office of Silvercrest Group, Rufus was updating Seb on Rebecca's situation, "Mr. Smith, the news about Ms. Walker is everywhere. The Walker family won't let this slide once they know the truth."
In recent years, because of Seb and Rebecca's engagement, the Walker Group and Silvercrest Group had been working closely together.
Now, with this scandal, it looked like the two companies might turn against each other.
Seb's expression was indifferent, "Got it."
After a moment of hesitation, Rufus couldn't help but ask, "Mr. Smith, did you do all this for Ms. Roach?"
