Chapter 392 Why Is Your Mouth So Sweet?
Ariana only saw Seb at the hospital, but that didn't necessarily mean he lied to Sharon.
Maybe Seb had to go to the hospital for some reason?
If this photo caused any misunderstanding between Seb and Sharon, Ariana would feel super guilty.
After thinking it over, Ariana decided not to tell Sharon just yet. She'd test the waters at work tomorrow, and if Sharon really didn't know about Seb being in the hospital, then she'd spill the beans.
Seb got back to the villa, and it was already close to nine.
Sharon was chatting with Dana. When Dana saw him, she quickly stood up, "Mr. Smith, did you drink at the event tonight? Ms. Roach made some milk for you in the kitchen. I'll go get it."
Seb paused, tugged at his tie, and his eyes darkened a bit, "No need, I didn't drink tonight."
Dana was a bit surprised since Seb usually drank at these events.
But she quickly recovered and said, "Okay, do you want something to eat? There are some dishes left for you in the kitchen."
Too bad about the milk Sharon made for Seb.
"No need, Dana, you can go rest."
Seeing that Seb wanted some alone time with Sharon, Dana smiled and said, "Alright, I won't disturb you two. If you need anything, just call me."
After Dana left, Seb walked over to Sharon and sat down beside her.
"You haven't gone back to your room yet; were you waiting for me?"
The soft light from the ceiling lamp fell on his handsome face, making Sharon's heart skip a beat.
At night, he was less stern than during the day, more gentle, and his gaze was incredibly tender.
Sharon nodded, "Yeah, I thought you'd be drunk."
"I'll try to drink less at these events from now on," Seb said.
Sharon was about to speak when she suddenly caught a faint whiff of hospital disinfectant on him.
Her fingers tightened, and she looked up at him, "Where did you go for the event tonight?"
Seb casually named a restaurant, raising an eyebrow, "What's up? Are you checking up on me?"
"Do you mind?"
"Of course not. Do you want to check my phone too?"
As he spoke, he handed his phone to Sharon, looking very obedient and ready for her to check.
Sharon didn't take it, "Forget checking the phone. Your phone has all the company's secrets. If something happens to the company one day, and you suspect me, I won't be able to explain."
"The company is yours too, and no matter what happens, I won't suspect you."
Sharon glanced at him, annoyed, "Why are you being so sweet tonight?"
"I always treat you like this."
After saying that, he pinched Sharon's chin and kissed her.
The romantic atmosphere spread in the living room. A night breeze blew, lifting the curtains by the window, making their movements seem hazy.
After the kiss, Sharon was panting and leaning on Seb's chest.
Seb looked down at her tenderly. Seeing her eyes filled with emotion and her cheeks flushed, his eyes darkened a bit more. His rough hand slowly caressed her waist. Sharon felt a tingling sensation in her waist, making her body even softer.
"Seb, this is the living room! Watch your behavior!"
She looked up and glared at him, her eyes filled with embarrassment and anger.
Seb raised an eyebrow, "Should I carry you to the room then?"
Seeing him about to carry her, Sharon quickly pushed him away and jumped off the sofa.
"Stop it, if someone sees us, I'll be so embarrassed."
Her face was flushed, like a budding peach blossom, beautiful and heart-stirring. Seb's gaze darkened unconsciously.
Seb originally just wanted to tease her, but he overestimated his self-control.
He looked at her and pretended to be disappointed, "Really don't want me to carry you upstairs?"
"No! I'll go up myself. Since you didn't drink, I'm going to sleep."
After saying that, she quickly walked upstairs before Seb could speak, and soon disappeared into the hallway on the second floor.
Watching her disappear, Seb smiled brightly.
Back in her room, after calming down, Sharon remembered she forgot to ask why he smelled like disinfectant, and frowned.
The next morning, Sharon went downstairs and found the dining room empty, looking surprised.
Usually, at this time, Seb would be sitting at the table, working and drinking coffee. Why wasn't he here today? Could he still be asleep?
Dana noticed her thoughts and explained, "Ms. Roach, Mr. Smith has a lot of work today, so he left early. After you finish breakfast, Peter will take you to the company."
What kind of work required Seb to handle it so early?
Sharon felt a bit suspicious but nodded, "Okay."
After breakfast, Sharon arrived at the company and met Kirk in the elevator.
Sharon looked at his cast in surprise, "Mr. Marshall, what happened to you?"
Kirk replied, "Nothing, just accidentally fell yesterday."
Could a fall cause such an injury?
Sharon didn't believe it, but she wasn't close to Kirk, so she didn't ask further.
"Can you still work with such an injury?"
Kirk shook his head, "No, so I'm here to take a leave of absence."
"You could have taken leave over the phone with such a serious injury."
"Besides taking leave, I need to delegate some work while I'm hospitalized, or things will be a mess when I return," Kirk added.
Seeing Kirk's serious expression, Sharon gave him a thumbs up, "Mr. Smith is lucky to have an employee like you in Silvercrest Group!"
As they talked, the elevator door opened.
They walked out and went their separate ways.
When Sharon arrived at her office, she saw Ariana writing materials at her desk.
"Ariana, you're here so early today?"
Ariana paused her writing, put down her pen, and looked at Sharon. Seeing her usual expression, Ariana hesitated whether to tell her what she saw last night.
"Sharon, does Mr. Smith have any friends in the hospital recently?"
Sharon's hand tightened around her bag, as she recalled the smell of disinfectant on Seb last night.
Sharon slowly put down her bag and turned to Ariana.
"Why are you asking this suddenly? Did you see him at the hospital yesterday?"
