Chapter 163 Break up?

Seb's face went blank for a second. "When did you find out?"

Sharon's voice was icy. "When you took her to that romantic dinner."

Silence hung between them, so quiet they could hear each other's breathing.

After about ten seconds, with Seb still not saying anything, Sharon turned to open the car door, ready to leave.

Suddenly, Seb grabbed her wrist.

"Sharon, I should've told you. I'm sorry."

Sharon glanced back at Seb, his face blurred by the dim light, making it hard to read his expression.

She pulled her hand away. "If you want to get back with her, I can move out tonight."

Seb frowned. "I don't want to get back with her. I didn't tell you because I was afraid you'd get the wrong idea. I know I like you."

Sharon found it almost funny, her eyes filled with anger.

"Afraid I'd misunderstand, so you spent a whole day and night with her? Afraid I'd misunderstand, so you left me waiting for dinner while you went to a romantic restaurant with her? What woman wouldn't misunderstand that?"

As she spoke, Sharon's eyes started to tear up.

She thought she had no expectations of Seb, thought she could leave anytime, but now she realized she had fallen for him.

So knowing Seb was involved with Grace made her feel so hurt, so unwilling.

Seb's face looked grim, his eyes filled with guilt.

"I'm sorry, but I promise, I never thought about getting back with her."

Sharon looked at him, her eyes red. "If you never thought about getting back with her, can you cut ties with her completely?"

Seb's face froze.

Sharon wasn't surprised, letting out a bitter laugh. "If you can't, then let's end this."

She had planned to use Seb to make the Smith family back off, but now she realized using him would also hurt her.

Sharon didn't want to go through that roller coaster of hope and disappointment again.

"Sharon, I won't get back with her, but I can't cut ties with her right now. Can you give me some time?"

"Why can't you?"

"I can't tell you right now. Can you give me some time?"

Sharon felt only disappointment, her gaze turning cold. "You know how Alex betrayed me, and you know I hate men who are involved with other women. Now you're tangled up with Grace and asking me for time? Do you think that's possible?"

Seeing Seb's hesitant expression, Sharon lowered her eyes. "That's it then. I'll take leave tomorrow to move my things."

With that, she pushed Seb away and got into the car to leave.

Finding a hotel to stay in, Sharon planned to stay there for a few days and look for a place over the weekend.

Now that she had money, she considered finding a place with good security to avoid being harassed again.

Early the next morning, after taking leave, Sharon went straight to Seb's villa.

Unexpectedly, as soon as she walked in, she saw Seb sitting on the living room sofa reading documents.

Sharon frowned slightly, her expression cold. "I'm here to get my things."

With that, she went straight upstairs.

As Sharon packed, Seb walked into the bedroom and said quietly, "Sharon, let's talk."

"We already did last night."

Sharon kept packing, quickly gathering her things to leave.

Seb blocked her. "Are you really leaving?"

"If I don't leave now, should I wait until you get back with Grace Hall and kick me out? I'm not that naive."

"I won't get back with her."

Sharon looked up, serious. "You know, Alex used to say he wouldn't stay involved with Ava. And what happened?"

A cold glint flashed in Seb's eyes, his voice deepening. "I'm not like him."

"What's the difference? Both of you are tangled up with other women and lie. I won't fall for it again."

Seb opened his mouth but found nothing to say. He knew his actions made Sharon feel insecure.

"Sharon, give me three months. I'll sort this out."

Sharon pushed him away. "I won't wait for you."

With that, she left.

As she walked out of the villa, tears fell from her eyes. She wiped them away, holding back her emotions, and after putting her suitcase in the car, she drove off.

After Sharon left, Seb stayed in the study all afternoon. At dinner time, Carol cautiously knocked on the door.

"Mr. Smith, it's time for dinner."

"I'm not hungry."

There was a moment of silence before Carol spoke again. "Even if you're not hungry, you should eat something. Ms. Wright will come back once she thinks it through."

Though she said that, Carol knew that as long as Seb was involved with Grace, Sharon wouldn't return.

There was no response from the bedroom. Carol sighed. "I've kept the food warm. If you get hungry, you can eat it anytime."

The sound of footsteps faded away. Seb stared at the document in his hand for over ten minutes but couldn't read a single word. His mind was consumed by the image of Sharon leaving.

Frustrated, he threw the document on the table, grabbed his car keys, and left.

At the club, Seb drank one glass after another, his face dark and intimidating.

"Seb, what's wrong? Did you break up?"

Seb coldly looked at Victor, who was gloating. "Can't you shut up?"

Realizing Seb was really angry, Victor quickly dropped his playful demeanor. "Did I hit the nail on the head?"

Seb remained silent, his expression growing darker.

The room fell silent. Just as Victor was thinking of something to say, Seb's phone rang.

Hearing the ringtone, Victor's expression changed, and he quickly looked at Seb.

Seb indifferently picked up the phone and hung up. It rang again shortly after.

Just as Seb was about to hang up again, Victor snatched the phone from him. Seeing the name on the screen, Victor's grip tightened.

"Grace, why is she suddenly contacting you?"

Grace had cut off all contact after going abroad.

Victor had tried to find Grace, but she told him not to contact her again, saying she didn't want to see anyone related to Seb.

Seb's expression was indifferent. "She came back."

Victor's pupils contracted sharply. "When? Why didn't you tell me?"
