Chapter 321 Slapped Seb

Seeing Seb's confident look, Randy finally felt a bit of relief.

"Alright, but Alex and David have really crossed the line. I didn't think they'd go this far just to get the Smith Group!"

Seb stayed cool. "Not surprising. People will do anything for money. They won't get the Smith Group unless they ruin my reputation."

Even though Seb was right, Randy still thought David and Alex were way too sneaky.

If Alex hadn't cheated back then, he wouldn't have been kicked out of the Smith Group, and Randy wouldn't have had the chance to become the general manager.

After they talked it over, Randy hung around a bit before heading out.

Later, after putting Demetrius to bed, Sharon went downstairs for some water. She was a bit surprised to see Seb alone on the sofa. She said hi like usual and then went to the kitchen.

Seb's eyes followed her without him even realizing it. She was in a light blue dress with a white ribbon around her waist, showing off her slim figure. The way her dress swayed as she walked caught his eye.

It wasn't until Sharon grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge and walked out of the kitchen that Seb snapped out of it.

Sharon didn't notice anything weird and went straight upstairs with the water.

Once her footsteps faded on the second floor, Seb let out a breath he didn't know he was holding.

He found it strange, but lately, he couldn't help but keep looking at Sharon.

Taking a deep breath to calm down, Seb got up and went back to his study to keep working.

Meanwhile, after leaving the villa, Randy called Sophie on his way home.

Sophie had just finished her bath and was putting on a face mask. When she saw Randy's call, she frowned, not really wanting to pick up.

Ever since they worked together five years ago, Randy had been saying he fell in love with her at first sight and had been bugging her ever since, which really annoyed her.

Randy wasn't bad-looking. At six feet tall with good looks, he was the kind of guy who turned heads on the street. But Sophie didn't want to date someone younger than her.

Randy was six years younger than Sophie. He still had time to find love, but she was already in her thirties and didn't want to waste time on a relationship that wasn't going anywhere.

It wasn't until Randy's call rang for the third time that Sophie finally answered.

She picked up, sounding annoyed, "Mr. Smith, it's really late. If it's business, call me after 8 AM tomorrow. If it's personal, we have nothing to talk about."

Randy said, "Sophie, guess who I saw at my uncle's villa today?"

Hearing Randy mention Seb, Sophie's face darkened.

The memories of Sharon falling into the sea five years ago came rushing back, and Sophie's eyes filled with anger. "I don't know, and I don't care. Don't mention Seb to me again!"

Even though Sophie shut him down, Randy kept going, "I saw Sharon. She's still alive. But she's going by Sharon Roach now."

There was a long silence on the other end of the line.

If it weren't for the sound of her quick breathing, he would've thought Sophie had hung up.

After a long pause, Sophie’s raspy voice finally came through, "Randy, do you think this joke is funny?"

It had taken her five years to come to terms with Sharon's death, and now Randy was dragging her back into that dark place, making her feel that despair all over again.

She was convinced the woman Randy mentioned had to be a stand-in Seb found for Sharon.

Sophie didn't care how Seb regained his memory after five years, but his doing was clearly an insult to Sharon!

Randy wasn't shocked by her reaction; he'd feel the same if someone told him something like that out of the blue.

"Sophie, I'm not joking. I really..."

Before Randy could finish, the line went dead.

When he called back, it showed that the line was busy.

Randy frowned, thought for a moment, then turned his car around and headed to Sophie's place. Since she didn't believe him, he decided to take her to see Sharon himself.

After hanging up, Sophie ripped off her face mask, took several deep breaths to calm down, changed into some clothes, and drove out.

Sophie had just left her house when she passed Randy's car.

Randy saw her, but she didn't see him, just staring coldly ahead.

Thinking about Seb finding a stand-in for Sharon, Sophie felt a fire burning inside her, making her even more furious.

Her car sped up, and she didn't notice Randy honking behind her.

In less than an hour, her car screeched to a halt in front of Seb's villa.

With a murderous look on her face, Sophie got out and rang the doorbell.

Her face was grim, and she kept pressing the doorbell, the sound echoing through the villa's hall, even reaching Seb in his study.

He got up and walked out, seeing Dana about to open the door. He said coldly, "Who's at the door?"

Dana looked puzzled. "I don't know, Mr. Smith. I'll go check."

As Seb and Dana spoke, the doorbell kept ringing.

"No need," Seb said, a hint of impatience in his voice. "I'll go."

Given Dana's slow pace, by the time she got to the door, Sharon and Demetrius would probably be woken up.

When Seb reached the door and saw it was Sophie, his face turned cold.

He knew Sophie, the daughter of the Lee family. Every time they met, she would mock him. If it weren't for Randy liking her, he would've dealt with the Lee family long ago.

Seb couldn't help but wonder what Sophie was doing here in the middle of the night.

Seb opened the door and said with a stern face, "Ms. Lee, what's wrong with you?"

The next second, Seb was slapped by Sophie.

She looked at him angrily. "Seb, I don't know how you regained your memory, but Sharon's death is connected to you. How dare you find someone who looks like her and keep her by your side, even using her name?"

Seb's face turned icy, and an intimidating aura surrounded him.

He threatened, "You got a death wish?"

He hadn't expected Sophie to dare hit him. This time, even if Randy pleaded for her, he wouldn't let her off!

Randy had just parked his car when he saw Sophie slap Seb. He was shocked and quickly got out, pulling Sophie behind him.

"Uncle Seb, Sophie didn't mean it," Randy said hurriedly, trying to diffuse the tension. "It was a misunderstanding. She shouldn't act so impulsively. I apologize on her behalf."

Seb's eyes were cold. "Do you think your apology is worth anything? Randy, this is none of your business. I suggest you leave immediately."
