Chapter 614 Impossible to Stay Together All Night

Sophie glanced at the couch and saw Saul sitting there, a look of surprise flashing in her eyes. "You didn't go home last night?"

"Nah, you drank too much. I was worried about you, so I stayed over."

"Thanks."

Saul shook his head. "No big deal, Sophie. How are you feeling now? I got you some porridge and honey water this morning. If you have a headache, the honey water might help."

"I'll wash my face first."

Sophie got out of bed and headed to the bathroom.

While washing her face, she noticed several marks on her neck and chest that looked like hickeys. She frowned unconsciously.

When she came out of the bathroom, Saul was still sitting on the couch, looking particularly well-behaved.

Sophie sat down across from him and pointed to the marks on her neck. "Did you do this?"

Saul's face turned red instantly. He lowered his head, avoiding her gaze. "Sophie, I'm sorry. I couldn't help myself, but I didn't do anything else besides kiss you."

Seeing Saul's nervous and guilty expression, Sophie couldn't help but smile. "I was just asking. You don't need to be so tense. But I don't like this. Please don't do it again."

"Okay."

Sophie picked up her bag and looked at Saul. "Thanks for last night. I have work to do, so I need to go. Do you need a ride?"

Saul quickly shook his head. "No, no need. Oh, Sophie, here's the honey water. Please drink some."

As Sophie took the cup, her fingers brushed against Saul's, and she could feel him tense up.

She took a sip and said, "It's good. You have classes today, right? Are you sure you don't need a ride?"

"I don't want to trouble you. Sophie, I'm sorry about last night."

Seeing Saul's ears turn red, Sophie's heart softened. After all, who could resist a young, handsome college student apologizing so earnestly?

"Alright, let's go. I'll take you back to school."

Seeing that Sophie wasn't angry, Saul finally relaxed and followed her out.

Half an hour later, Sophie's car stopped in front of Serenity University.

Before getting out, Saul turned to Sophie and said cautiously, "Sophie, please don't get drunk in front of other men. You're very cute when you're drunk, and if they can't control themselves, you might get hurt."

Sophie was taken aback for a moment, then smiled. "Got it. You go on now."

"Goodbye."

Saul waved at her before turning and walking onto the campus.

Sophie drove away and had just arrived at the Lee Group building when Randy blocked her path.

Noticing his unusual demeanor, Sophie pursed her lips. "Mr. Smith, what do you want?"

"What's going on with you and Saul? Are you falling for him?"

Randy stared at her, not missing any change in her expression.

Sophie frowned. "What happens between Saul and me is none of your business. I don't owe you any explanations."

"Sophie, did you spend the night with him at a hotel?"

Sophie stopped in her tracks, her gaze icy. "Randy, are you still having me followed?"

Her accusatory tone made Randy sneer. "If I had someone following you, you wouldn't have spent the whole night together!"

"Whether you have someone following me or not, who I spend time with is my business. I hope Mr. Smith will stop prying into my private life."

Randy grabbed her wrist and said in a low voice, "Sophie, the month is almost up. Don't forget your promise."

Sophie shook him off. "There's still a week left. We'll talk when the time comes."

With that, she walked away.

Randy watched her leave, his face darkening as he thought about the anonymous photos he received that morning.

Forcing himself to calm down, Randy dialed his assistant.

"Find out who sent those anonymous photos to my email this morning!"

After hanging up, Randy's expression was grim. It was time to give Saul a warning.

Just as he was about to leave, his phone rang again.

Seeing an unfamiliar number, Randy's eyes flashed with annoyance, and he immediately blocked the call.

Ever since he blocked Electra, she had been contacting him with different numbers every day. At first, he answered these calls, but now he blocked each new number as soon as it came in.

Electra, seemingly tireless, kept calling.

Putting his phone in his pocket, Randy got into his car and drove away.

Meanwhile, Electra angrily threw her phone onto the bed.

With the month almost up, Randy had been avoiding her, and she hadn't had a chance to see him.

No, she had to find a way to ensure Sophie and Randy had no chance together.

Taking a deep breath, Electra dialed Delbert's number.

"Delbert, are you free tonight? I'd like to have dinner with you."

There was silence on the other end until Electra's patience wore thin, and she was about to ask again when Delbert finally spoke. "Sure, what do you want to eat?"

"I remember there's a good Mexican restaurant near your office. How about we go there tonight?"

"Okay."

After hanging up, Delbert put down his phone expressionlessly and picked up a file.

To his right was a report on Electra, showing that she had been in frequent contact with Saul for the past month.

That evening, Electra arrived at the restaurant early and waited in a private room for over half an hour before Delbert finally showed up.

"Sorry, something came up at work, so I was delayed."

As soon as Delbert spoke, Electra sensed something was off.

His attitude towards her was much colder than before.

"Delbert, are you still suspicious of me because of Saul?"

Delbert looked up at her. "Electra, did you have anything to do with Saul and Sophie's situation?"

Electra's face darkened instantly. "Delbert, what do you mean? You still don't trust me, do you?"

"Just answer me. Were you involved?"

"No. Are you satisfied now?"

As Electra finished speaking, Delbert's expression shifted from suspicion to disappointment.

Electra's heart sank, a bad feeling creeping in.

"Delbert."

"I had someone investigate. You've been in frequent contact with Saul and even paid his mother's medical bills. I remember you used to hate them the most. You blamed Saul's mother for ruining your family and causing your mother's death. Don't tell me you've suddenly forgiven them."

Electra glared at him coldly. "Since you've already found out, what's the point of asking me?"

"I wanted to see if you'd tell me the truth. Now I know you don't trust me."

"Fine, I admit it. I had Saul get close to Sophie to ruin her relationship with Randy. You can tell Randy if you want. I don't care!"

With that, Electra stood up and left.

Just as she reached the door, Delbert's voice came from behind. "I won't tell Randy, but I won't help you either. You still have time to turn back."

Electra paused but didn't look back.

She never regretted her actions. Why should she turn back?

As long as she could be with Randy in the end, she wouldn't give up.

If Delbert wouldn't help her, she'd find another way!

That evening, Sophie had just finished work when she got a call from Sharon.

"Sophie, come over for dinner tonight. Also, I transferred a thank-you fee to you last night. Make sure you accept it."

Sophie had seen Sharon's transfer in the morning but hadn't planned to accept it. She meant to mention it at work but got too busy and forgot.

"Okay, but there's no need for a thank-you fee. We're friends, aren't we?"

When she arrived at the villa, she ran into Randy.

Remembering his words from the morning, Sophie didn't feel like talking to him.

They walked into the villa in silence. As soon as Sophie saw Sharon, she quickly sat down beside her.

Randy greeted Sharon and then went straight to the study to find Seb.

Sharon noticed the marks on Sophie's neck and gave her a surprised look before leaning in to whisper, "What happened to your neck? Did you and Randy..."

Before she could finish, Sophie quickly covered her mouth.

"No, it's mosquito bites."

Sharon was silent.

Mosquitoes in winter?

Seeing Sophie's embarrassed expression, Sharon didn't press further.

"By the way, Seb and I are planning a trip to Sunrise Island in a few days. Do you want to come? You could use a break."

Sophie shook her head. "I'm busy with several projects right now. Maybe after things settle down."

Leonard only had Sophie as his daughter, and she was set to take over the Lee Group someday. So, he was already training her.

Sharon looked disappointed. "Alright, we'll plan another trip when you're free."

"Sure. Are you taking Demetrius with you?"

"Yes, we don't want to leave him alone at home."

After being bullied recently, Demetrius had been in a bad mood. This trip would be a good chance for him to relax.

"That's great. You guys have a wonderful time."

As they chatted, Dana came over to announce that dinner was ready.

Sharon and Sophie moved to the dining table, and soon Seb and Randy joined them.

Noticing Randy's sour expression, Sharon glanced at Seb, silently asking what was wrong.

Seb shrugged, indicating he didn't know either.

Sophie couldn't help but comment, "You two are always making eyes at each other, even during dinner. Can you consider the rest of us?"
