Chapter 206 You Should Be Satisfied

"Yeah, I loved him for years, and now I only have three months left. I can't handle this!"

Victor gave a bitter smile. "What about me? I've loved you for years. Why won't you look at me?"

Victor thought Grace's happiness was enough for him. But seeing her so heartbroken over Seb made his chest tighten.

With Grace having just three months left, why not fight for himself?

Grace was stunned, not quite getting it.

After a while, she finally said softly, "Victor, I've always seen you as just a friend."

"But I want more than friendship."

Grace bit her lip, her voice angry, "I'm Seb's girlfriend, we can't..."

Before she could finish, Victor's shadow loomed over her.

Before she could react, Victor kissed her.

She shook her head and stepped back, trying to avoid him.

But Victor held her waist with one hand and her head with the other, giving her no escape.

At first, Grace struggled, but soon her hands wrapped around his neck, and they started shedding clothes.

The next morning, Sharon and Seb were trending online.

When people found out Sharon was Seb's niece and that Seb had a girlfriend, they started bashing Sharon.

[OMG, Sharon is so shameless! She hooked up with her ex's uncle, and the guy even has a GF. Absolutely shameless!]

[Bet her ex dumped her 'cause he knew she was like this!]

[Tbh, Seb is also at fault. Just cuz he's the CEO of Silvercrest Group doesn't mean Sharon's the only one to blame!]

The internet was in an uproar. As soon as Paul got to the office, he rushed to report to Seb.

Seb's already cold face turned even darker. "Didn't I say last night to keep what happened at the auction under wraps?"

Paul shook his head. "Mr. Smith, we're still investigating. The buzz was high early this morning; someone must be stirring things up. Also, some people are already camping outside Silvercrest Group, probably planning to cause a scene for Ms. Wright."

Seb frowned. "Get rid of them immediately!"

"I've already sent security."

Just then, Paul's phone rang. After answering, his face turned grim.

"Mr. Smith, Ms. Wright was splashed with paint in the parking garage. She's on her way to the hospital now."

Seb stood up abruptly, his face cold as he walked out quickly, the chill around him almost palpable.

Paul hurried to follow, seeing Seb's tense jawline, he knew Seb was truly angry.

But Paul had to stop him.

"Mr. Smith, the public is already talking about you and Ms. Wright. If you go to the hospital now and get photographed, it will only make things worse."

Seb looked at Paul coldly and said each word deliberately, "Have they caught the person who splashed the paint?"

"They have."

"Follow up at the police station and check if he has any criminal records. I don't want him out again."

"Yes, sir."

"I have to go to the hospital. I don't care if I'm photographed; I won't let anyone hurt her again."

With that, Seb walked past Paul and left.

Paul felt helpless. The real issue was that Sharon might not even want to see Seb.

Seb might be a genius in business, but he was a total control freak in relationships, always pushing his own agenda without considering Sharon's feelings.

Even without Grace, Seb and Sharon might have broken up eventually.

Watching Seb leave, Paul sighed and didn't try to stop him again.

When Seb got to the hospital room door, he was about to knock when it opened from the inside.

Seeing Seb, Sophie was immediately angry and said coldly, "Seb, are you here to see how miserable Sharon is after you ruined her life?"

Seb frowned and asked, "How is she?"

"Don't worry, she won't die. But if you keep bothering her, who knows what will happen next time!"

Sophie's sarcastic tone made Seb's eyes flash with impatience. "Ms. Lee, I admit I messed up this time. It won't happen again. Can I see Sharon now?"

"Sorry, Sharon doesn't want to see you. You should leave."

Seb's face darkened. "Ms. Lee, you should know that if I insist on entering, you can't stop me."

Sophie sneered. "Trying to intimidate me as CEO of Silvercrest Group? I'm not an employee of Silvercrest Group, and I'm not afraid of you!"

Seb stared coldly at Sophie without saying another word, but his eyes grew colder.

Inside the room, Sharon heard Sophie and Seb arguing and didn't want Sophie to get involved. She called out, "Sophie, let him in. I have something to say to him."

Sophie turned to her and said, "Haven't you suffered enough because of him?"

When she arrived at the hospital earlier, Sharon was covered in paint. The doctors took a long time to clean her up, and now Sharon still smelled strongly of paint.

Moreover, Sharon's skin was red and swollen from an allergic reaction, causing pain and itching that she couldn't scratch, forcing her to endure it.

"It's okay. You can go home now. Thanks for your help today."

Sophie was still angry, but she didn't want to leave Sharon alone, unsure of what might happen.

After a moment of silence, she said coldly to Sharon, "I'll be right outside if you need me."

Seeing the concern hidden under Sophie's anger, Sharon felt a warm surge in her heart, further solidifying her resolve to stay away from Seb.

After Sophie left, Seb walked into the room.

Seeing Sharon sitting on the hospital bed, Seb's eyes narrowed, and he felt a surge of guilt and regret.

He shouldn't have handed her the Tears of Eternity in front of so many people last night.

At this moment, Sharon's face and neck were all red and swollen, causing her distress.

"Sharon, I'm sorry."

Sharon looked at him calmly. "I thought you'd be satisfied seeing me like this."

Seb's eyes darkened, and he said hoarsely, "If I could, I would rather be the one lying in that hospital bed."

Hearing this, Sharon found it laughable.

"When you handed me that necklace in front of everyone last night, you should have known this would happen."
