Chapter 444 I Can't Fit into Size S
Electra shot Delbert a guilty look. "Delbert, I'm really sorry. If it wasn't for me, you and Randy wouldn't be fighting like this."
Delbert glanced at her, seeing her teary eyes, and his heart softened. "Electra, this isn't your fault. Randy started it."
Electra nodded. "But I hate that you two are arguing because of me."
Delbert was quiet for a moment, then said in a low voice, "Don't worry about it. Let's just drop it for now."
Seeing his sour expression, Electra decided not to push it and stood up. "I... I should go. Next time, I'll try to apologize to Randy and Sophie in person and see if I can smooth things over."
Delbert got up too. "I'll walk you back."
Meanwhile, Sophie was having dinner with Sharon, venting about Randy. "I just don't get him. Electra is so fake. How can he not see that? And Delbert's lost it too. I heard he's chasing the hottest girl on campus. With his thing with Electra, there's no way that's happening! It drives me nuts. People really don't appreciate what they have until it's gone!"
Seeing Sophie so worked up, Sharon chimed in, "You guys have a six-year age gap, so conflicts are bound to happen. Randy's attitude isn't that bad, and he hasn't done anything crazy. Just argue a bit, but don't stay mad too long."
"Yeah." Sophie stabbed at her steak, still fuming.
Logically, this wasn't her first relationship, so why was she so upset over something so small? If Randy was really cheating, she could just find someone else. There were plenty of guys out there. Thinking about that made her feel a bit better.
Sophie added, "By the way, how are things with you and Seb lately?"
Sharon replied, "Same as usual. He's been super busy, leaving early and coming back late."
Sophie frowned and whispered, "Doesn't that mess with your sex life?"
Sharon blushed. They hadn't been intimate in a while.
Seb was always busy, and by the time he got home, she was usually asleep. Their schedules just didn't match, but Sharon wasn't too bothered by it. She cherished their moments of intimacy when they happened, but she didn't find herself pining for them in their absence.
Seeing Sharon's silence, Sophie knew she was right. She looked at her, a hint of worry in her tone, "Don't you feel any urgency?"
Sharon looked confused. "What does this have to do with urgency?"
Sophie replied, "I saw Seb yesterday while discussing business. The woman he was negotiating with was gorgeous and kept flirting with him. Even if Seb wasn't interested, you need to be aware of the women out there."
She added, "Even if Seb has made your relationship public, there will still be women who will try to see if they have a chance. So you need to keep Seb sexually satisfied at home. If he's satisfied, he won't look elsewhere."
Sharon was silent. She felt Seb wasn't the type to cheat. Otherwise, he wouldn't have been single for those five years.
And now that they had a child, she felt even less worried. "It's not as serious as you think."
Sophie looked serious. "How could it not be? You two are so familiar with each other now, so there's less excitement. This is the easiest time for someone else to step in. I went through the same thing with Daniel..."At this point, Sophie paused and didn't continue.
Then she added, "Besides, women need sex too. Long-term lack of it can mess with your hormones."
Sharon thought about it and realized she had a point. "But he's so busy, I don't want to bother him when he gets home."
Sophie shot back, "Bother him? It's the best way for you two to connect emotionally."
Sharon nodded. "Okay."
Seeing she still didn't quite get it, Sophie raised an eyebrow, "Finish your food. After this, we're going shopping for some clothes."
It wasn't until Sophie dragged her into a lingerie store that Sharon realized what kind of clothes Sophie meant.
Sophie picked up a set and held it against Sharon. "This looks pretty good."
Sharon glanced at the barely-there fabric, blushing. "Sophie, we don't need this. Let's go look at coats."
Just imagining herself in front of Seb wearing this made Sharon want to crawl into a hole out of shyness.
Sophie raised an eyebrow, knowing Sharon was shy, and didn't push it. She turned to the clerk, "The set I was looking at earlier, size S, please wrap it up."
After quickly paying, Sophie took the bag from the clerk and naturally pulled Sharon out of the store. After walking a bit, Sharon finally breathed a sigh of relief.
The mall was pretty big, and Sharon was worried about running into someone she knew, which would be super embarrassing.
Seeing her cautious demeanor, Sophie couldn't help but laugh, "Why do you look like you're sneaking around?"
Sharon glared at her. "Because you took me to that kind of store."
Sophie teased, "What kind of store? Come on, are you from the last century? This is totally normal now."
Sharon retorted, "You talk like you have a lot of experience."
Sophie snorted, "I may not have done it, but I've seen it. Besides, it's not just about pleasing the other person, it's also about pleasing yourself. If you don't want to wear it, you can have Seb wear it."
Sharon was silent. If she were drinking water, she would have spit it out. Have Seb wear lingerie? Unless she had a death wish. But... some inappropriate images popped into her mind. She quickly shook her head to get rid of them.
Sophie asked, "Still want to shop?"
Sharon replied, "No, let's go."
After dropping Sharon off at the villa entrance, Sophie handed her the bag. "Here you go. I've set you up. The rest is on you."
Sharon instinctively refused, but Sophie shoved the bag into her hands. "Size S, I can't wear it. And this set cost over five thousand dollars."
Sharon asked, "Can it be returned?"
Sophie replied, "No way. Just take it. You don't have to use it right away. Maybe one day you'll feel like it. If you really don't want to wear it, you can toss it."
Sharon nodded. "Okay."
Carrying the bag into the villa, Sharon felt like she was carrying a bomb, walking very cautiously. As soon as she stepped into the living room, she saw Seb sitting on the sofa reading documents.
Sharon was startled and instinctively hid the bag behind her.
Seb looked up just in time to see her panicked action and couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. "What are you hiding?"
