Chapter 579 Reintroducing Sharon

Stuck in the mansion by Carolyn, Sharon knew that even if she got some useful information, she wouldn't be able to pass it on.

With that thought, a determined look flashed in Sharon's eyes.

For the next two days, Sharon stayed in her room to recover. It wasn't until the third morning that she went to the dining room for breakfast.

At the table were only Carolyn and Daisy; Gareth was nowhere to be seen.

Seeing Sharon, Daisy snorted and turned away, pretending not to see her.

Carolyn's expression was indifferent. "How's your cold?"

"Almost better, thanks for getting the doctor for me."

Seeing Sharon's obedient demeanor, Carolyn paused her coffee-drinking motion and raised an eyebrow, scrutinizing her. Previously, Sharon had always been confrontational during their meetings, but today she seemed like a different person.

Suppressing her doubts, Carolyn said calmly, "Since you're almost better, I'll have the butler call Andrew. You can resume your studies today."

Sharon nodded. "Okay."

As soon as she responded, the sound of a knife scraping against a porcelain plate came from Daisy's direction, sharp and unpleasant, drawing both Sharon's and Carolyn's attention.

Carolyn's face turned grim. "Daisy, if you're done eating, you should leave. It's rude to disturb others during their meal."

Daisy's hand, gripping the knife and fork, turned pale, and her body trembled slightly, clearly holding something back.

After a long moment, she glared at Sharon and retorted coldly, "I won't give up that easily!"

With that, she threw her utensils on the table and stormed out.

Carolyn looked displeased. "She's getting more and more unruly."

Sharon pulled out a chair and sat down, smiling. "Daisy is still young. She'll grow out of it in a few years."

Carolyn looked at Sharon, increasingly feeling that she was different from before. Sharon would never have said something like that in the past.

"Sharon, I'm warning you, don't try any tricks, or I'll make you regret it."

"I'm not planning any tricks. Being sick made me realize a lot of things. Fighting against you only hurts me. Since I'm already here in Stellaria, there's no point in making things harder for myself."

Seeing Sharon's calm expression, as if she truly had a change of heart, Carolyn said coldly, "Good that you understand."

After breakfast, Carolyn left the house, and Sharon went to the study.

When Andrew opened the study door, he saw Sharon reading a microeconomics book, looking surprised, as if he had seen something wrong.

Hearing the door open, Sharon looked up and smiled when she saw Andrew.

"Andrew, you're here."

"Yeah."

Andrew walked into the study, closed the door, and sat opposite Sharon. "Did something happen these past few days?"

Sharon looked puzzled and shook her head. "No, why?"

"You seem like a different person. When I taught you before, you fell asleep ten times in one morning. Today, you're reading an economics book."

Sharon couldn't help but laugh, her pale face showing more vitality. "Whether I like it or not, I have to learn. The difference is between learning painfully and learning happily. I choose the latter."

Andrew smiled. "That's a good attitude. Let's start the lesson then."

"Okay."

Andrew placed his laptop on the table and was about to start when there was a knock on the study door.

The next second, Daisy pushed the door open and walked in.

"Andrew, my mom gave me a company recently, and I don't know how to manage it. Can I join your lessons too?"

Seeing Daisy in a figure-hugging outfit, with heavy makeup and styled hair, Sharon raised an eyebrow. She finally understood Daisy's feelings for Andrew.

Andrew, seemingly oblivious to Daisy's efforts, turned to Sharon and asked, "Do you mind if Ms. Daisy Stoll joins us?"

Daisy's expression changed, frowning. "Andrew, I'm asking for your opinion. Why are you asking her?"

Andrew replied, "Ms. Stoll, Carolyn hired me to be Ms. Roach's tutor. If you want to join, Ms. Roach has to agree first."

Daisy bit her lip, clearly unhappy. She looked at Sharon, her tone warning, "You wouldn't refuse, would you?"

If Sharon dared to refuse, Daisy would use her previous tactics to disrupt Sharon's lessons and prevent her from seeing Andrew.

Sharon raised an eyebrow. "Sure, as long as you reintroduce our relationship to Andrew, I'll agree."

"What?" Daisy looked incredulous and angry. "I refuse!"

She would never acknowledge Sharon as her sister. To her, Sharon was just a lower-class person, completely different from her. Admitting Sharon's identity was worse than death.

Sharon smiled slightly. "If you don't want to, then forget it. We're about to start the lesson. Please leave."

Daisy lifted her chin. "I'm not leaving. What can you do about it?"

Andrew, looking helpless, had heard about Daisy's spoiled nature and was now witnessing it firsthand.

"You don't have to leave, but I'll have the butler call Carolyn and tell her you're disrupting my lesson."

Daisy's expression changed, not because she feared Carolyn's anger, but because she didn't want Carolyn to stop her from seeing Andrew.

She looked at Sharon, compromising. "Name another condition. I'll agree to anything else."

"But I only have this condition. If you can't do it, you can leave now."

"You!" Daisy's face turned red with anger. "You're deliberately making things difficult for me!"

Sharon nodded. "You can think of it that way."

Daisy was stunned by Sharon's direct admission. After a few seconds, she turned to leave but stopped when she saw Andrew out of the corner of her eye.

Suppressing her anger, she turned back to Sharon. "Fine, I'll say it."

Biting her lip, Daisy forced the words out. "Andrew, Sharon is my sister."

Sharon had intended to say she couldn't hear it, but seeing Daisy's strained expression, she smiled. "Good. Remember to show me this respect every time you come to class."

Daisy, seething, pulled a chair to the table and sat down. "Andrew, we can start the lesson now."

All morning, Sharon listened attentively to Andrew's economics lesson. Whenever she felt sleepy, she pinched her thigh to stay awake.

Meanwhile, Daisy spent the entire time staring at Andrew, not listening to a word he said. Every time Andrew looked at Daisy, she either smiled or looked shy and flustered, making Andrew uncomfortable and trying to avoid looking at her.

Daisy, noticing Andrew's attention on Sharon, frequently interrupted with questions, slowing the lesson's progress.

When the lesson ended, Andrew sighed in relief and turned to Sharon. "Ms. Roach, the weather is nice today. Do you have time for lunch with me?"

Before Sharon could respond, Daisy interjected, "Andrew, the mansion is too far from the city. It's better to eat here. I can have the chef make whatever you want."

Andrew smiled at Daisy. "Ms. Stoll, thank you, but I want to spend time alone with Ms. Roach."

Daisy was stunned, then turned to Sharon, eyes filled with anger. She was sure Sharon had seduced Andrew when she didn't pay attention. Otherwise, why would he ask her out after only meeting twice?

Sharon, wanting to go out, ignored Daisy's angry gaze and smiled. "Sure, I wanted to go out anyway. I just need to change my clothes first."

Andrew smiled. "No rush, I'll wait for you."

Sharon nodded and left the study.

Daisy bit her lip and looked at Andrew. "I just remembered I have something to do. I'll leave too."

Outside the study, Daisy quickly caught up with Sharon.

"Why did you agree to Andrew's invitation?"

Sharon smiled. "I wanted to. No reason. You should ask yourself why he invited me and not you."

Daisy's eyes widened in anger. "Say that again!"

"It doesn't matter how many times I say it. Andrew is waiting for me. I need to change."

With that, she walked past Daisy and left.

Daisy, nearly losing her mind with anger, grabbed Sharon. "I warn you, I like him. If you try to seduce him, I won't let you off!"

Sharon didn't take her threat seriously. "It seems Carolyn wants to set us up. Otherwise, she wouldn't have arranged such a young tutor for me. Don't you think?"

Previously, Sharon had told Carolyn about her marriage and child, likely making Carolyn afraid she'd cause more trouble. So, she arranged for Andrew to be her tutor, using any means necessary to achieve her goal.

Daisy's face fell. "Even if Mom wants to set you up, Andrew won't like a woman like you."

"Oh? Really? But if I remember correctly, he just asked me out for lunch."

"You! Have you forgotten your husband and son back home? How can you be so shameless?"

"What does it have to do with you? Instead of arguing with me, you should tell Andrew about my husband and child. Maybe he'll stay away from me."

But most likely, Andrew would still choose to have lunch with her.
