Chapter 594 Unworthy of Her in Every Way

As Gareth's words hung in the air, the room fell into a heavy silence.

After what felt like an eternity, the butler finally broke the silence. "Yes, Mrs. Stoll crippled one of his legs."

Gareth's grip on his phone tightened so much it seemed like he might crush it.

Darcy had schemed against him, causing him to lose a leg and forever lose his chance to inherit the Stoll family fortune. And Carolyn had only crippled one of Darcy's legs?

For Gareth, that was far from enough!

He wanted Darcy to suffer, to live a life worse than death!

"Got it."

With that, Gareth hung up the phone.

Seeing Gareth's grim expression, the maid glanced nervously at the phone in his hand, worried he might smash it in anger.

Fortunately, Gareth soon handed the phone back to her.

"Leave."

The maid nodded quickly and hurried out of the room.

Once Gareth was alone in the bedroom, he picked up his phone and dialed a number.

"Bring Darcy to my villa's basement. He's lost a leg, don't treat him, but make sure he doesn't die."

Ending the call, Gareth looked down at his leg, missing under the blanket, his eyes filled with malice.

It wasn't long before Carolyn learned that Gareth had sent people to take Darcy away.

Gage was worried. "Gareth, will this cause trouble?"

Carolyn closed the file and looked at Gage. "Gareth just lost a leg. His mindset has changed drastically. He needs an outlet to vent those emotions, or he'll become more extreme. Don't worry about this."

"But..."

Gage feared that letting Gareth act freely would make him more unhinged.

"You handled Darcy's situation well. It's over now. Don't dwell on it. The priority is finding Seb."

Gage was silent for a moment, then nodded. "Alright, I understand."

After Gage left, Carolyn closed the file and asked the butler to call Daisy to accompany her for a walk.

"Mrs. Stoll, Daisy went shopping today and hasn't returned yet."

Carolyn's face fell, her voice filled with anger. "With everything happening at home, she still has the mood to shop? Call her back immediately!"

Seeing Carolyn's anger, the butler hesitated but spoke. "Mrs. Stoll, Daisy has been under a lot of pressure lately. Shopping might be her way to relieve stress. If she stays home all the time, it might cause problems."

Carolyn's face was grim. "Call Daisy now and tell her to come back immediately!"

"Yes."

The butler dialed Daisy's number in front of Carolyn, but after several attempts, there was no answer. Carolyn's face grew grimmer.

"Mrs. Stoll, Daisy might not be checking her phone. Should I..."

"Find out where she is right now! Bring her back immediately!"

Seeing Carolyn's genuine anger, the butler didn't dare to speak for Daisy anymore and quickly sent people to locate her.

In less than ten minutes, Daisy's location was confirmed.

Knowing Daisy was with Andrew, Carolyn sneered. "So this is her way of relieving stress? I guess she didn't spend enough time locked up with Darcy!"

The butler lowered his head, not daring to speak for Daisy.

Meanwhile, Daisy was drinking with Andrew, planning to get him drunk and spend the night with him.

Suddenly, the door to the private room was pushed open, and several men in black entered.

Seeing Carolyn's men, Daisy's face changed, and she quickly put down her glass.

"What are you doing here?"

Andrew looked at the group, surprised, then raised an eyebrow and swirled his wine glass without speaking.

The leader approached Daisy, head lowered. "Daisy, Mrs. Stoll wants us to take you back to the estate."

Daisy's face changed, filled with panic and fear.

From the moment these men entered, she had a bad feeling, now confirmed.

Carolyn had forbidden her from seeing Andrew, and now she had secretly met him. Carolyn must be furious.

She could already imagine the anger she would face back at the estate.

Daisy bit her lip, stubbornly saying, "I'm not going back!"

The man in black glanced at the indifferent Andrew and spoke slowly. "Mrs. Stoll said if you don't want to go back, we'll take Andrew with us."

"What?"

Daisy's eyes widened in disbelief and anger. Carolyn was threatening her!

She took a deep breath and stood up. "Fine, I'll go back with you!"

The man in black lowered his head. "Daisy, please."

Daisy looked at Andrew. "We'll meet again."

Andrew raised an eyebrow, knowing it wouldn't be easy to see Daisy again.

But he still smiled, "Alright, Daisy, goodbye. I had a great time tonight, hope you did too."

Daisy's cheeks flushed instantly, her eyes flustered, unable to meet his gaze.

"I did."

After Daisy and the men in black left, Andrew downed his wine, his expression turning cold, and he left.

On the way back to the estate, Daisy imagined various scenarios of apologizing to Carolyn.

But as she entered the hall and saw Carolyn sitting on the sofa, expressionless, the pressure from her presence almost suffocated Daisy.

She bit her lip and slowly walked to Carolyn.

"Mom."

"Daisy, what did I tell you before?"

Knowing she meant Andrew, Daisy bit her lip and lowered her eyes, "Mom, I really like him. I don't want to marry anyone else, just him."

Carolyn sneered, "What did he brainwash you with?"

Daisy looked at her, "Mom, I might only love one person in my life, and that's Andrew. If I can't be with him, I won't marry anyone."

"You're crazy! From now on, without my permission, you can't leave the estate. If you want Andrew and his family to be safe, you better behave, or I'll make him suffer."

"You wouldn't dare! I warn you, don't touch Andrew, or I won't acknowledge you as my mother!"

Carolyn couldn't believe her ears. Her daughter, Daisy, was willing to sever ties with her for a man.

She looked at Daisy, eyes filled with disappointment.

"Fine, if you want to be with him so badly, I'll let you. From now on, I won't restrict your actions. You can go to him anytime, but I won't give you a penny."

"I want to see how long you can last!"

Daisy sneered, "Fine, you said it, don't go back on your word!"

"Don't worry, I won't."

With those cold words, Carolyn turned and left.

Back in her study, sitting in her chair, Carolyn's cold expression gradually turned to fatigue.

She had worked so hard for years to become the head of the Stoll family.

But she had raised two children, one lost a leg in a conspiracy, and the other was obsessed with a man who wasn't good enough for her.

Carolyn suddenly felt like a failure. Even if she had the Stoll family, she was still alone.

As Carolyn was lost in thought, the butler rushed in.

"Mrs. Stoll, Mr. Wright was taken from the hospital!"

Carolyn's face changed, furious, "What are the hospital staff doing? How could they lose someone with so many people watching?"

Robert was her only leverage over Sharon. If he were missing, she couldn't control Sharon anymore.

But Carolyn thought about her current situation. Controlling Sharon didn't seem that important anymore.

Jeremy had woken up. If he returned to take over the Stoll family, he would surely pass it to the illegitimate child Mary had!

Thinking this, Carolyn took a deep breath to calm down, "Find him! He must be found within three days!"

"Yes, Mrs. Stoll."

After the butler left, Carolyn thought about the recent troubles, and in a fit of rage, she coughed up blood.

Seeing the blood, she was stunned, then hurriedly grabbed tissues to wipe it away.

As she wiped, Carolyn stopped, her face turning cold.

The only way to keep everything she had was to kill Jeremy.

If Jeremy died, all problems would be solved.

She wouldn't have to worry about Jeremy recovering and fighting for the Stoll family, or about some family members siding with Jeremy.

The more she thought, the more Carolyn felt it was the best solution.

As she pondered how to kill Jeremy quietly, the butler entered, seeing the blood on the table, his face changed.

"Mrs. Stoll, are you hurt?"

Carolyn shook her head, "I'm fine, just stressed and coughed up blood. I'm better now."

"Mrs. Stoll, you should go to the hospital for a full check-up."

The butler looked at her worriedly. He had noticed Carolyn's health declining recently.

"No need, I know my body. It's just too much stress lately. I'll be fine after some rest. Why did you come to see me?"

The butler remembered his purpose. "Daisy started packing her things to move out. The maids couldn't stop her, so I came to ask what to do."

Mentioning Daisy, Carolyn's eyes flashed with anger. She was about to speak when she felt a metallic taste in her throat and coughed up more blood.

The butler's expression changed drastically, rushing forward, "Mrs. Stoll, I'll arrange for a driver to take you to the hospital immediately!"
