Chapter 416 Why Don't We Do Something Fun?
Seb said, "The bathroom's like an ice rink. What if you slip again?"
"I'll be more careful," Sharon replied.
Seb shook his head, "Nope, I'll run the bath for you. You can use the tub today."
As he turned to leave, Sharon quickly grabbed his arm, "Then let Dana come up and help me."
Seb turned back, raising an eyebrow, "Dana's busy making dinner. Besides, I'm your boyfriend. Don't you trust me?"
Sharon felt her face heat up and couldn't meet Seb's eyes. After a long pause, she said, "It's inappropriate for you to bathe me."
"What are you worried about? There's nothing on you I haven't seen," Seb said.
Sharon stayed silent. She glared at Seb, "Seb, don't push it!"
Sharon didn't realize her cheeks were flushed, her eyes wide, which could make anyone's heart race.
Seb's eyes suddenly darkened, like two flames ready to burn everything down.
Sensing danger, Sharon instinctively backed away, her body pressing against the sofa as Seb leaned in closer.
"Sharon, are you afraid I'll do something to you?" Seb asked.
Sharon bit her lower lip, not speaking, but her wary eyes said it all.
Her pale lips were now a deep red from biting, tempting to be picked.
Seb lowered his head and bit her lip.
Sharon's eyes widened, and the sensation of his bite sent a tingling feeling through her body, making her stiff body soften.
Seeing her not resist, Seb cupped the back of her neck and deepened the kiss.
After what felt like forever, just as Sharon thought she might pass out, Seb finally let her go.
But he didn't pull away; instead, he gently kissed her earlobe, his voice low and husky, "Sharon, this is my reward for helping you with your bath."
Sharon pushed him away and looked up at him, "You insisted on helping me. I gave you the opportunity. Shouldn't I be the one asking for a reward?"
Seb chuckled, "Alright, then kiss me back."
Seeing him lean in, Sharon quickly covered his mouth with her hand, "Stop it. Don't you have a meeting at eight tonight?"
Seeing her flushed cheeks, Seb's eyes softened, "Alright."
As he spoke, his lips brushed lightly against Sharon's palm, the gesture filled with intimacy.
Sharon quickly withdrew her hand, her face turning even redder.
Seb acted as if he didn't notice, straightening up and heading to the bathroom.
Soon, the sound of running water came from the bathroom.
Seb's tall figure quickly reappeared, "Where are your clean clothes? I'll get them for you."
"Just get the towel from the leftmost cabinet," Sharon said.
"Okay," Seb said.
Seb opened the leftmost cabinet, spotting the towel right away. The top one had a pink strawberry bear print.
He grabbed the towel, closed the cabinet, and walked into the bathroom, placing the towel on the rack.
Seeing that the tub was almost full, he turned off the faucet and went to the bedroom to carry Sharon in.
To make it easier for Sharon to bathe, he even brought a chair.
After placing Sharon on the chair, he leaned on the armrest, looking down at her, "Are you sure you don't need my help?"His voice was low, carrying a hint of seduction.
Sharon's eyelashes fluttered as she looked up at him, suddenly smiling sweetly. "No need, you can go."
Her smile was so dazzling that Seb was momentarily dazed. After a moment, he snapped out of it, a bit disappointed, "Alright then."
"Hurry up and go. If you stay any longer, the water in the tub will get cold," Sharon said.
Seb raised an eyebrow, "Are you sure you don't need me to stay and help?"
"No need," Sharon replied.
"Alright then," Seb sighed, disappointed, and straightened up to leave.
It wasn't until his figure disappeared from the bathroom doorway that Sharon breathed a sigh of relief and began undressing.
After undressing, she stepped on the floor, trying to put as little weight as possible on her injured foot, hobbling to the tub.
However, once she stood by the tub, she realized she couldn't get in with just one foot, and the tub was very slippery, making it easy to fall.
She bit her lip, hesitating whether to call Seb for help.
As they had delayed in the bedroom, the night had already fallen outside the window.
After a moment of hesitation, Sharon pulled the towel over her body and called out, "Seb, can you come in and help me?"
Footsteps sounded outside, and soon the bathroom door opened, and Seb walked in.
His tall figure made the bathroom feel cramped, and the air seemed to thicken.
Seeing Sharon wrapped in a towel, revealing her slender legs, Seb's eyes darkened, and his body tensed.
His Adam's apple bobbed as he walked towards Sharon, his expression calm but with a brewing storm underneath.
"What's wrong? What do you need help with?" Seb asked.
Sharon looked up, meeting Seb's gaze, and instinctively bit her lip.
"Can you help me into the tub? I can't get in with just one foot," Sharon replied.
"Alright," Seb said.
Seb's voice was hoarse as he walked up to her and picked her up.
As their skin touched, Sharon could feel his strong muscles and tense body.
She swallowed nervously, her heart racing, hoping Seb would quickly put her in the tub and leave.
Though it only took a few seconds for Seb to lift her and place her in the tub, it felt like an eternity to Sharon.
Feeling the water against her skin, Sharon finally relaxed a bit. "Thank you, you can..."
Before she could finish, her lips were captured in a kiss.
Her eyes widened in shock, seeing the undisguised possessiveness in Seb's eyes.
Sharon's hand instinctively gripped the edge of the tub, her heart racing.
The kiss was fierce and urgent, like a sudden summer storm, engulfing her completely.
It wasn't until she was nearly out of breath that Seb let her go, his voice hoarse, "Sharon, you asked me to come in."
Sharon, panting against his chest, rolled her eyes at him. He had taken advantage of her and now blamed her for letting him in.
Once her breathing steadied, Sharon pushed him away, "I need to bathe. You can leave now."
Seb chuckled, showing her the wet sleeve of his shirt, "You got me wet. You need to take responsibility."
Sharon just wanted him to leave quickly, frowning, "I'll buy you a new one."
"That's not acceptable. This shirt has significant meaning to me," Seb refused.
Sharon gritted her teeth. If it was so significant, why hadn't he taken better care of it?
"What do you want, exactly?" She glared up at him, but sitting in the tub with her body half-revealed, she was more seductive than intimidating, inadvertently enticing him.
Seb's eyes grew darker as he grabbed her hand and leaned in for another kiss.
Just before their lips met, his husky voice whispered in her ear, "I want to make love to you."
Sharon's hand clenched the edge of the tub, her body tensing up.
One of them accidentally hit the shower switch, and soon the bathroom was filled with steam, the sound of water masking everything.
The bath lasted over two hours.
When Seb carried a flushed Sharon out of the bathroom, his face was full of satisfaction.
After placing her on the bed, Seb grabbed a towel to dry her hair. Sharon, too tired to move, leaned against him, letting him do as he pleased.
Seb dried her hair until it was half-dry, then combed it and used a hairdryer.
Sharon lay on Seb's lap, her fingers idly tapping his knee.
Feeling his long fingers running through her hair, Sharon couldn't help but recall the scene in the bathroom, her cheeks reddening again.
Just as she was trying to think of something else to distract herself, she felt a change in Seb's body. She looked up sharply, gritting her teeth, "You're such a beast!"
Seb remained silent.
"Sharon, don't worry. I promised I wouldn't make love to you again tonight, and I will keep that promise," Seb said.
Seeing his serious expression, Sharon reluctantly believed him but didn't dare let him continue drying her hair. She snatched the hairdryer from his hand.
"Have someone bring you a change of clothes. Once you're dressed, go downstairs," Sharon said.
Seb's Adam's apple bobbed, "Alright."
By the time Sharon finished drying her hair, Seb had already changed.
"Do you need help getting dressed?" Seb asked.
"No, you go ahead," Sharon replied.
Seb nodded, then turned to leave.
Once the door closed, Sharon got out of bed.
As soon as her foot touched the ground, her leg gave out, and she nearly fell, catching herself on the bed.
After a moment, she slowly moved towards the wardrobe.
It took her over ten minutes to get dressed and go downstairs.
Because of her sprained ankle, her odd walking didn't draw much attention.
Seeing her, Demetrius immediately put down his toy and ran to her side, looking a bit guilty, "Mom, let me help you to the dining room."
Demetrius's obedient and considerate behavior made Sharon smile, "Alright, thank you, Demetrius."
With Demetrius's help, Sharon made her way to the dining table and sat down.
Seb, sitting across from her, noticed her furrowed brow, "Does it still hurt?"
Sharon looked up, momentarily unsure which pain he was referring to.
"If it still hurts, let me know. I'll get some ointment for you later," Seb said.
Sharon's face reddened, and she couldn't help but glare at him.
Demetrius looked puzzled, "Dad, didn't the doctor already give Mom some medicine when we went to the hospital? Why do you need to get more?"
Seb cleared his throat, "Demetrius, adults are talking. Eat your dinner."
"Okay." Demetrius still didn't understand why Sharon needed more medicine.
But soon, he saw his favorite roast meat and forgot all his questions, focusing on his meal.
After dinner, as Sharon was about to head back to the bedroom, Seb walked over and picked her up.
Sharon saw Dana covering her mouth and laughing from the corner of her eye, her face reddening. She whispered in Seb's ear, "I can walk by myself."
"You walk too slowly. I'll carry you," Seb said.
Sharon couldn't argue with him and had to comply.
However, Seb didn't take her to the bedroom but to his study.
"Aren't you about to have a meeting? Why are you taking me to your study?" Sharon asked.
"You can rest on the sofa in the study and read. When my meeting is over, I'll take you upstairs," Seb replied.
Sharon frowned, "Won't I disturb your meeting?"
Seb smiled, "No."
Their relationship had finally made some progress today, and with Sharon's sprained ankle, he wanted to seize the opportunity to move into her bedroom. Who knew when he'd get another chance? Seb planned silently, his face calm.
Sharon also wanted to spend more time with him and nodded, "Alright then."
Seb placed Sharon on the sofa, found her a book, and covered her with a light blanket. Then he said gently, "I'm going to my meeting. If you get sleepy, just nap here."
"Okay," Sharon said.
Returning to his desk, Seb opened his laptop and started the meeting with the shareholders.
The meeting lasted over three hours. Seb instructed Paul to send him the meeting minutes and then closed his laptop.
Seb walked over to the sofa and saw Sharon asleep, the book loosely held in her hand, ready to fall at any moment.
Seb gently took the book from her hand and placed it on the table, looking at her sleeping face with tenderness.
Sharon, not in a deep sleep, sensed a shadow over her and slowly opened her eyes. "Is your meeting over?"
Her voice was hoarse, with a lazy, just-woken-up tone, adorably unaware.
Seb nodded, "Yes, I'll carry you upstairs to sleep."
"Okay," Sharon said.
When Seb carried her back to the bedroom and didn't leave, Sharon finally sensed something was off. "Why are you still here?"
Seb lifted the blanket and naturally lay down on the other side of the bed, "Your foot is injured. It's inconvenient for you to go to the bathroom at night. I'm staying to take care of you."
"I'm perfectly fine. You should go back to your room," Sharon said.
"No way. You needed my help with your bath earlier. If I didn't stay with you, what if you fall at night and no one is around?" Seb said.
Sharon was silent. No matter what she said, Seb refused to leave.
After she talked until her mouth was dry, Seb handed her a glass of water. "Drink some water and get ready for bed."
Sharon didn't take it, glaring at him, "You insist on sleeping here, don't you?"
Seb nodded.
"Fine, you sleep here. I'll go sleep with Demetrius," Sharon said.
She had just lifted the blanket to get out of bed when Seb grabbed her wrist and pulled her back.
Seb's tall figure loomed over her, "Sharon, if you really can't sleep, why don't we do something fun?"
