Chapter 325 Even Gave You a Child

Seb glared down at her, pure disgust in his eyes. "You can plot behind my back, but I can't stop you from seeing Demetrius? If you hadn't taken him and threatened he'd never come back, I wouldn't have done this!"

Seb sneered. "So, it's all my fault?"

Sharon's face was set in stubborn lines as she spoke slowly, "I didn't say that, but you're also at fault. I raised Demetrius on my own, and you sent people to snatch him from my placewithout asking. Don't you think that's crossing a line?"

Remembering the fear she felt the night Demetrius was taken, Sharon's expression turned icy.

No way was she letting Seb take Demetrius from her again.

"It seems you don't think you did anything wrong. Then you won't see Demetrius!" Seb brushed past Sharon, ready to leave.

Panicking, Sharon grabbed his hand. "No! I won't let you hide Demetrius again!"

Feeling her soft touch, Seb's body stiffened, then he shook her off, saying coldly, "You brought this on yourself!"

As Seb stormed off, Sharon hurried to catch up. She intercepted him in the living room, breathless from jogging.

His face was still cold, no warmth in sight. "Move."

Sharon looked up at him. "Mr. Smith, I'm sorry for the damage to Silvercrest Group. I'll make it right. Just don't hide Demetrius."

She knew if Seb wanted to hide Demetrius, she'd never find him.

Seeing her eyes redden, Seb felt a surge of irritation. Just as he was about to speak, Demetrius burst out from the dining room, shoved him hard, and stood protectively in front of Sharon, glaring.

Demetrius said, "You're bullying Mom! You're a bad dad. I don't want you to be my dad anymore. I want Mr. Cook to be my dad!" Tears welled up in Demetrius's eyes.

Sharon quickly squatted down to comfort him, "Demetrius, your dad didn't bully me. We were just talking loudly. Don't cry, okay?"

Demetrius wiped his tears, his voice choked. "But your foot is hurt. It must be him who did it!"

Sharon noticed her injured foot and quickly said, "I broke a plate earlier, and the shards cut me. It has nothing to do with your dad."

Seb, who was initially furious at Demetrius's words, glanced at Sharon's foot, his eyes darkening. There was a wound on her foot, and blood was still oozing out.

His hand clenched unconsciously, but his words were full of sarcasm. "Don't think I'll let you off because of this. You'll pay for scheming against me!"

Sharon looked up at him, her voice cold. "Enough! This is between us. Can we not do this in front of Demetrius?"

Seb stared at her, saying nothing, but his gaze was icy.

Dana, who had heard the commotion in the kitchen, came out and saw Sharon squatting and comforting Demetrius while Seb stood coldly by. Dana quickly walked over.

Dana said, "Mr. Smith, Ms. Roach, what's going on? Why is Demetrius crying like this? Ms. Roach, your foot is injured. I'll get the first aid kit!"

Dana quickly brought the first aid kit over. "Ms. Roach, please sit on the couch. I'll take care of your wound."

Sharon shook her head, giving Dana a grateful look. "No need, I can handle it myself."

Dana said, "I'll do it. It's not easy for you to do it alone."

Seeing Dana insist, Sharon nodded. "Thank you, Dana."

Sharon gently wiped the tears from Demetrius's face and softly said, "Demetrius, don't cry. I'm fine."

Demetrius sniffled, his small hand clutching Sharon's clothes tightly, his eyes full of fear.

Sharon led Demetrius to the couch and sat down. Dana quickly treated her wound.

As Dana stood up with the first aid kit, she saw Seb still standing there with a cold expression. She couldn't help but advise, "Mr. Smith, I don't know what conflict you have with Ms. Roach, but no matter what, you shouldn't let her get hurt, and you shouldn't argue in front of Demetrius. He is still young, and witnessing your conflicts will inevitably have an impact on him."

Seb shot her a cold look. "Dana, just do your job. I hired you as a servant, not to give me advice."

Dana lowered her head awkwardly, not daring to speak again.

The living room fell into silence; the atmosphere became heavy.

At that moment, Randy walked in from the door. Noticing the unusual atmosphere, he raised an eyebrow and looked at Seb. "Seb, there are some documents that need your signature."

"To the study." With that, Seb turned and walked directly to the study, with Randy quickly following.

After signing the documents, seeing Randy still there, Seb looked at him coldly. "Anything else?"

Randy looked curious. " Seb, did you have a fight with Sharon?"

Seb said, "None of your business."

Seeing his gloomy face, Randy knew he had guessed right, so he continued, " Seb, don't forget, you wronged Sharon before. She even gave you a child; if you keep having conflicts with her, you're being ungrateful."

Seb asked, "Do you know why Sophie hasn't accepted you even after five years of pursuing her?"

Randy was stunned for a moment, then pouted. "Seb, that's hitting below the belt!"

Seb asked, "And you meddling isn't?"

Facing Seb's cold eyes, Randy said, "Alright. Gotta go."

After Randy left, Seb picked up the documents on the desk but couldn't focus on a single word. Frustrated, he threw the documents on the desk and lit a cigarette. After finishing the cigarette, his irritation only grew.

What Seb said earlier was just out of anger, but now it was too late to take it back. Especially when he saw Sharon's red eyes earlier, most of his anger had already dissipated. But thinking about Demetrius saying he wanted Zachary to be his dad, Seb's anger flared up again. Zachary was just an outsider. Could he be better to him than his own father?

As he was deep in thought, his phone suddenly rang.

Seb extinguished the cigarette and answered, "What is it?"

The other side said, "Mr. Seb Smith, Mr. Alex Smith publicly said online that you have no conscience, that you made Mr. Tyler Smith so angry he ended up in the hospital, and you didn't even visit him. Now everyone online is talking about it."
