Chapter 576 Your Son Is Originally a Bastard!
Gareth's face turned grim, a flash of malice in his eyes.
"No way am I letting Sharon inherit the Stoll family!"
He hoped Carolyn was just using Sharon. If he found out she really intended to hand over the Stoll family to Sharon, he wouldn't hesitate to be ruthless, even if she was his mother.
Daisy nodded in agreement. "Gareth, I'm with you. We can't let Sharon take over the Stoll family!"
She had never disliked anyone so much. Thinking about how Sharon attracted so much attention from men at the party last night, even the guy she had a crush on kept glancing at Sharon, Daisy was filled with jealousy and hatred. She wished Sharon would just disappear from this world!
"Daisy, I'm glad to hear you say that. Sharon is our common enemy now. We have to work together to deal with her."
"Yeah."
Seeing that Daisy had no plan, Gareth cursed her as an idiot in his mind and said, "I heard Mom got her a tutor to teach her how to manage the company. If I remember right, Mom never got you a tutor for that, did she?"
Daisy frowned, her dissatisfaction and jealousy evident.
"How can Mom be so biased?"
"Exactly. You need to find a way to disrupt her studies. If she really learns how to manage the company, Carter Tech Company will be hers."
Gareth had initially thought Carolyn was just using Sharon, but hearing that Carolyn was handing over Carter Tech Company to Sharon made him panic.
He even started to suspect that Carolyn really intended to give the Stoll family to Sharon.
Maybe all that talk about making Sharon a puppet was just to placate him.
Daisy was silent for a moment before saying, "Alright, I get it. I'll think of something. What about you? Are you just going to sit back and do nothing?"
Gareth's face stiffened. "I have more important things to handle right now. I don't have time for this. It's up to you."
While the siblings were plotting against Sharon, in the study, Sharon was already asleep on the desk, dreaming sweetly.
In her dream, she was back in Metropolis, reunited with Seb and Demetrius, living a happy life as a family.
The dream was so wonderful that she didn't want to wake up.
However...
A rhythmic sound echoed in her ears, like someone was knocking on the desk beside her.
Sharon woke up with a start, realizing she was in the study at the manor, feeling a wave of disappointment.
She had thought she was really back with Seb and Demetrius.
A deep male voice came from above her, "Ms. Roach, we meet again. What a coincidence."
Sharon found the voice familiar. She looked up and was surprised and incredulous.
"Andrew?"
Andrew's smile deepened. "It's me."
He was dressed casually today, less formal and more relaxed.
Sharon looked around him and behind him, not seeing anyone else. "Are you my tutor?"
Andrew nodded. "Yep."
"So you knew last night that I would be your student?"
"That's a personal question, and it's already eight-thirty. You've wasted half an hour sleeping, so we need to start the lesson."
Sharon asked, "What time did you get here?"
"Eight o'clock sharp. I thought you'd wake up after a few minutes, but half an hour passed, and you were still asleep, so I had to wake you."
Sharon felt a bit embarrassed. So Andrew had been watching her sleep for half an hour?
"Sorry, if you find me sleeping next time, just wake me up."
Andrew smiled and nodded. "Alright, let's start the lesson. Today, I'll teach you the basics of a company's structure."
From eight to eleven, during those three hours, Sharon didn't know how many times she fell asleep. She tried to stay awake, but Andrew's voice was like a lullaby. Plus, the business topics he was teaching were of no interest to her, making it impossible to stay awake.
When Andrew announced the end of the lesson, Sharon felt like she heard the most beautiful sound in the world and instantly wasn't sleepy anymore.
She stood up and looked at Andrew. "Andrew, thanks for today."
If it weren't for him, she wouldn't have realized how uninterested she was in business.
Andrew, a bit helpless, smiled. "You fell asleep twenty-three times today. I hope you'll sleep less tomorrow."
Sharon's smile became awkward. After a few seconds, she said, "I'll try."
"That's it for today. I need to report to your mother about today's lesson. Goodbye."
Sharon replied, "Goodbye."
Sharon had thought she just needed to attend the lessons, but hearing that Andrew would report to Carolyn, she knew Carolyn would come up with more ways to deal with her.
Andrew went to Carolyn's study and knocked on the door.
Hearing Carolyn's voice inviting him in, he opened the door and walked in.
"Good morning, Carolyn."
Carolyn put down her documents and smiled, walking towards Andrew. "Andrew, please sit."
They sat on the sofa, and Carolyn had a servant bring coffee.
"How was the lesson today?"
Andrew hesitated for a moment but decided to be honest. "Sharon has potential, but she doesn't seem very interested in business. She fell asleep many times during the lesson."
Carolyn was silent for a moment before saying, "Maybe she was just tired from waking up early. I'll need to trouble you for the next month. She knows nothing about business, so I hope you can be patient."
"Carolyn, since I agreed, I'll do my best. But I can't guarantee how much Sharon will learn."
Carolyn nodded. "I understand. How much she learns is up to her. The most important thing is that I hope you two can build a good relationship over this month."
Before bringing Sharon back, Carolyn had selected a few potential marriage partners for her.
After their first meeting, Sharon revealed she was married and had a child, which made all the families except Andrew's refuse the marriage. Only Andrew agreed to give it a try.
Andrew's family used to be on par with the Stoll family, but they had fallen behind due to some issues. Rebuilding their strength through marriage was the quickest and easiest way.
So even knowing Sharon had been married and had a child, Andrew chose to continue getting to know her.
Andrew nodded. "Carolyn, I understand what I need to do."
"Good."
"I have other matters to attend to, so I'll take my leave. See you tomorrow."
"Alright, I'll have the butler see you out."
After Andrew left, Carolyn returned to her desk and called a servant.
"Tell Sharon to come to the study."
Meanwhile, Sharon had just returned to her room when a servant informed her that Carolyn wanted to see her in the study. She was visibly annoyed.
She went to Carolyn's study with a scowl, her displeasure clear on her face.
Carolyn ignored her attitude and said, "I heard from Andrew that you were dozing off during the lesson?"
Sharon frowned. "Is that why you called me here?"
"You just need to answer my question, no need to ask any."
Sharon resisted the urge to roll her eyes and replied impatiently, "Yes, but I was dozing off for two reasons. One, you had the servants wake me up early, and two, I'm not interested in business."
"If you think waking up early is hard, go to bed earlier. If you're not interested, find a way to make yourself interested. No one here will indulge your whims."
Sharon laughed coldly. "I never thought you would indulge me. I gave up on expecting anything from you long ago."
Carolyn nodded in agreement. "Since you know that, just follow orders and do what I tell you."
"Don't worry, I'll play my part. But if you harm anyone close to me, I can be a pawn or a sword."
With that, Sharon turned and left.
As she was about to return to her room, Daisy intercepted her at the corner.
Daisy's face was full of anger as she glared at Sharon. "Was Andrew the one teaching you today?"
Seeing the jealousy in Daisy's eyes, Sharon raised an eyebrow.
"Yes, why? Do you know him?"
"I'm warning you, stay away from him. If I find out you're trying to seduce him, I won't let you off!"
Sharon's lips curled into a slight smile. "Oh, so he's the one you like."
"Shut up!"
Daisy looked around in a panic, seeing no one else before turning back to Sharon. "I'm warning you, don't have any designs on him. He won't be interested in a woman like you!"
"A woman like me? What kind of woman is that?"
"A shameless woman who married another man and had a bastard child!"
Sharon's eyes turned icy. Before Daisy could react, Sharon slapped her.
The sound of the slap echoed between them, and Daisy held her burning cheek, looking at Sharon in disbelief.
"You dare hit me? You actually hit me!"
She lunged at Sharon, trying to return the slap, but Sharon caught her wrist.
"If I hear you insult my son again, I'll slap you every time."
Daisy struggled to push Sharon away, but she wasn't strong enough. She was furious.
"So what if I insult him? Am I not telling the truth? Your son is a bastard!"
