Chapter 101 Ms. Adams, Aren't You Coming In?
Right now, there was no other option.
"Mr. Walsh, can you give me an address? Things have reached this point, and I have no choice but to agree," Selena said.
A flicker of amusement crossed Caterlington's eyes. He liked this about Selena, recognizing the situation.
He'd heard that even Joseph had taken a hit from Selena, and her relationship with Raymond was complicated. Conquering a woman like her was intriguing.
"Penny, I'll send a car to pick you up," Caterlington said.
At Stellar Heights, as soon as Selena stepped out of the car, she spotted Caterlington standing outside with a huge bouquet of roses. He was decked out in a white suit, looking both dashing and loaded.
As soon as Selena stopped, Caterlington walked over with the flowers.
"Penny, these are for you."
Selena didn't take them but smiled. "Mr. Walsh, is this how you always treat your partners?"
"Penny, to me, you're more than just a partner. Come on, I've reserved the biggest private room inside. I heard you can see the whole Silver Bay City from there."
Even after being turned down, Caterlington didn't seem awkward.
When they entered the lobby, he casually handed the bouquet to the receptionist, making her blush and her heart race.
Stellar Heights was famous in Silver Bay City, a favorite among business partners, and the top rooms did offer a killer view of the entire city.
Rich folks probably dug these flashy things.
Caterlington glanced at Selena's figure from the corner of his eye. Her vibe was both cool and charming, not clashing but rather complementing each other.
His lips curved up. As they waited for the elevator, they ran into another group.
Leading them was Raymond, with Paul, Emily, and Alex, whom Selena had seen at the casino before. Looked like they were here for dinner too.
Raymond still had his tall, indifferent stance.
His gaze landed on Selena, but he quickly looked away after just a glance, his expression ice-cold.
Alex, who had been chatting with Raymond, noticed his gaze and followed it, spotting Selena.
"It's you?" Before Raymond could say anything, Alex had already spoken up.
The mole on Alex's nose was quite delicate, and his eyes curved up. "What a coincidence, Penny, here for dinner at Stellar Heights too?"
After speaking, Alex's gaze shifted to Caterlington.
Caterlington had a bad rep, just like Joseph, known as a playboy. If Selena liked Raymond, why would she be with someone like him?
But Alex quickly came up with a new theory. Maybe Selena knew Raymond would be here and followed him.
Selena couldn't ignore her clients, so she nodded politely. "Hello, Mr. Montague, Mr. Reed."
As soon as she finished speaking, Emily, standing beside, was fuming.
"Paul! This bitch is the one who got me into the police station! And she was trash-talking our family in front of everyone!"
Emily had never been so humiliated. She couldn't even show her face in front of her classmates these past few days, all because of Selena. She didn't expect to run into her again today.
Selena frowned at Emily's repeated insults but smiled lightly. "Ms. Adams, you falsely accused me of stealing your bracelet in public, and after being exposed, continued to play dumb. That day, you indeed brought shame to the Adams Family, and even now, you continue to do so."
Selena's tone was calm. Seeing the elevator had arrived, she politely addressed Caterlington, "Mr. Walsh, please."
"Ladies first."
Selena didn't refuse and walked in first.
Caterlington raised an eyebrow, his lips curving up, and nodded to the others. "Mr. Montague, care to join us?"
The elevator was spacious enough for everyone.
But Emily, having been mocked by Selena, was furious.
"I'm not going up. Sharing an elevator with this woman makes me sick!"
As soon as she finished speaking, she saw Raymond step in, standing as far from Selena as possible. Alex also walked in.
"Raymond." Emily's face turned pale with embarrassment. She looked up at Paul.
Paul's features were sharp and cold, with an indescribable gloom and world-weariness in his eyes, like a dangerously alluring vampire in the dark.
Paul took a step, leaving Emily awkwardly outside.
Selena, standing closest to the elevator buttons, looked at Emily and asked, "Ms. Adams, aren't you coming in?"
