Chapter 341 Raymond was Ruthless
Raymond suddenly stopped, feeling a surge of anger he couldn't quite explain.
When she wanted to be his designer, she pulled out all the stops.
Now that she was done with it, she was ready to leave without a second thought.
Selena didn't notice he had stopped and walked right into his back, smacking her nose and wincing in pain.
"Why?" His voice was flat but way colder than usual.
"I'm always getting hassled by Sofia and Olivia. I'm worried I won't always get lucky like today," She said truthfully.
If every time Sofia tried to take her out, someone saved her like today, she wondered how many lives she'd need to survive Sofia's games; but she was not a kitten.
Raymond had already stepped into the elevator, and she followed him in.
"What happened today?"
"You bailed out Sofia, and you don't know it was me she was fighting with? A few days ago, she tried to set me up at the estate. She failed, so I let it slide. Then Olivia sent two guys after me. My friend saved me, but I got hurt. Just got the bandage off today. So, at the hospital, I lost it and went after her. This afternoon, Sofia pulled a knife on me, but I dodged it. Less than half an hour later, you bailed her out yourself. My family's not as powerful as the Stones or yours. So, I think it's smart for me to stay away from all of you."
As she talked, the elevator stopped at the underground garage.
Raymond looked at her, and she kept her head down, avoiding his gaze. He couldn't help but lift her chin, making her look at him. The elevator felt tiny, filled with his intense presence. "Crying?"
Selena wasn't crying, but the more she talked, the more upset she felt.
Plus, James was still in a coma, and the Fair family might go bankrupt. She hadn't slept well in days.
"Do you cry this easily?"
Selena frowned, trying to push his hand away.
He let go just in time.
"The injury on your neck, why didn't you mention it that day?"
"I had no proof. Those two guys had already left the country."
"So, you felt wronged when I asked you to apologize to Olivia?"
"Yeah, just because you side with her, everything she does is right."
Raymond raised an eyebrow, then looked at her seriously. "I never thought that way."
Selena's words got stuck in her throat, and for a moment, she didn't know what to say.
If Raymond really thought Olivia was always right, he wouldn't have just asked her to apologize.
Once out of the elevator, the wind outside made Selena realize she was challenging Raymond.
She quickly prepared to apologize, but Raymond opened the passenger door.
"Get in."
Selena, who had been pretty assertive just now, felt a bit guilty now that she had calmed down.
She silently got into the car.
Raymond sat in the driver's seat and explained, "I didn't know what Sofia did today. I'll tell the Stone family to send her out of the country."
Selena's heart skipped a beat. "Send her out of the country" was just the nice way to put it. To be frank, Raymond was saying he wanted to banish her from their country, probably forever.
Raymond's actions were that ruthless? She turned to look at him in surprise, only to hear him ask, "Feeling better now?"
Selena felt a bit embarrassed and quickly looked away.
"As for Olivia, you said there was no evidence, so it's right for me to side with her."
"Will you really divorce your wife and marry Olivia?"
Raymond's fingers tightened slightly on the steering wheel, his eyes a bit confused. "Probably."
"Do you hate your wife that much?"
"Selena." His tone deepened, and the entire car was filled with his cold aura.
"That's none of your business."
