Chapter 247 Her Taste in Men is Simply Terrible
At the other end of the hallway, Selena was already out cold, looking totally wiped out.
When she finally woke up, it was already 2 PM. She quickly freshened up and got ready to head to the hospital.
But as she walked past Raymond's door, she saw him just opening it.
She instantly remembered what she overheard in the elevator that morning; he must be planning to pick up his first love.
Wasn't her flight supposed to land at 4 PM? Leaving at 2 PM seemed a bit early.
When it came to the woman he liked, Raymond was just like any other guy—impatient.
"Hey."
After a good sleep, her mind was clear now.
Raymond didn't say anything, still puzzled about why she was at this hotel or why she had booked a room on the same floor.
No one would believe she didn't have some hidden agenda.
But if she did have other intentions, she had always kept it cool, unlike another woman who had deliberately worn sexy clothes to knock on his door.
They got into the elevator, and Selena pressed the button for the first floor.
Once the elevator doors closed, she spoke calmly, "If we can't get the hardwood flooring, I'll use another material. The project's already started, and I'll be keeping an eye on it. If you have any other ideas in the meantime, just let me know."
Selena was about to continue, but Caterlington called her.
She paused and answered the call.
"After helping you so much, don't you think you owe me a meal? How can you ignore that?"
Selena did owe him a favor regarding Jacob's matter.
But thinking about Brian and Erin's final decision made her feel a bit bitter.
"I owe a meal, Caterlington. How about next week? I'll hit you up then."
Caterlington chuckled lightly on the other end, his tone flirtatious. "Alright. But a meal a week later isn't the same as a meal now."
Selena pretended not to catch the hint, calmly saying, "Caterlington, that's settled then."
After hanging up, she breathed a sigh of relief.
By now, she and Raymond had reached the outside of the hotel.
Selena intended to say goodbye and head to her car, but Raymond spoke up at that moment, "Caterlington's targets are never just one."
Wasn't he supposed to be pursuing that woman? Now he's relentlessly chasing Selena too. What a playboy.
This was typical Caterlington—changing girlfriends as often as he changed clothes. If he weren't really wealthy, he would've been retaliated against by women hundreds of times by now.
Selena smiled. "I think Caterlington is just a passionate person. I have something to do, so I'll be leaving now."
He didn't hide the fact that he was a playboy. There weren't many like him.
After Raymond got into his car, he inexplicably felt stifled.
He opened the car window a crack, which made him feel better.
Thinking Caterlington was a passionate person, thinking her cheating husband was excellent—her taste in men was simply terrible.
But that had nothing to do with him.
John, still dutifully sitting in the front seat, asked, "Are we heading to the airport now?"
So concerned about Miss Stone that he came down early.
"Montague Group. An impromptu meeting has been called, and it will take an hour."
"But Miss Stone arrives at 4 PM."
"Yes, we'll go after the meeting."
John understood then that, in the CEO's mind, work always came first.
Women could only ever be second.
