Chapter 379 What's the Price Now?

Raymond didn't pick up the phone, which felt like a slap in Selena's face, but she shrugged it off.

Instead, she drove over to the Montague Group.

It was already 7 PM, but the Montague Group was still lit up like a Christmas tree.

When she got to the top floor, John was still there, looking a bit surprised to see her at this hour.

Selena gave him a smile. "I'm here to see Raymond."

"He's got an overseas meeting tonight. Just went into the conference room. It'll be about two hours."

Not in her first time, Selena just plopped down nearby, but this time she felt antsy. She never thought she'd end up making a deal like this.

When she was younger, Barbara always told her to work hard and be independent. Barbara used to say girls need to be financially and mentally independent and have their own dignity.

Selena didn't get it back then, but as she got older, she started to see Barbara's point. Barbara was way ahead of other women in Ridgefield.

Thinking back, Selena felt like time had flown by. When the office door opened, she stood up and saw Raymond walk in with his suit jacket draped over his elbow. With a watch on his wrist, he looked every bit the part.

He walked to his office chair, separated by a marble desk, his eyes landing on her. He took off his watch and tossed it aside. His eyes were cool, his lips deep red, and under the overhead light, his skin looked flawless.

No matter when she looked at him, his face was always stunning, just right.

"Raymond." She called out, standing up straight.

He seemed to know why she was there. "Penny, price has changed at this hour."

He was getting back at her for pushing him away in the private room.

Raymond was probably not used to being rejected by a woman. So now, he walked over, lifted her chin, and his eyes were cold with disdain.

Selena's face turned red, then pale, feeling humiliated.

"Then tell me, what's the price now?"

She tried to keep her tone calm. But her lips were bloodless, and her skin looked even paler.

Raymond let go of her chin, stood up straight, and his thin lips spoke mercilessly, "Before, it was just once. Now, it's ten times."

Selena felt her mind go blank for a moment.

Raymond saw her eyelashes flutter slightly, as if she thought sleeping with him was some kind of nightmare.

He sneered, turned around, and started to head back to his seat.

But she grabbed his wrist, and he heard her trying to sound calm.

"Fine, ten times it is."

The next second, Raymond was holding her, placing her on the desk.

Annoyed by the documents on the desk, he swept them all away.

Selena glanced at the huge floor-to-ceiling window in front of her and retreated in fear.

Raymond seemed to see her concern, pulled her close, and kissed her without hesitation.

"I thought you'd resign yourself to what's happening as you came to me?"

With one sentence, he shattered her dignity into pieces.

In this office, not even knowing if the door was locked, Selena was so scared that her whole body was stiff.

But he was too dominant, kissing her until she couldn't breathe.

Then everthing just went more wild.

Amid their intimate session, Raymond was still wearing his suit, while she bit his shoulder in pain with nothing left on her.

This disparity was mortifying.
