Chapter 339 You're Nothing to Him
Selena barely dodged the danger, grabbed Sofia's wrist, and yanked the dagger out of her hand.
The hospital security guards saw the commotion and rushed over, quickly pinning Sofia down.
Sofia's eyes were locked on Selena. "You bitch, just you wait!"
Selena raised an eyebrow. Was getting fired really that big of a deal for Sofia?
Tears streamed down Sofia's face. "Raymond actually helped you! There must be something going on between you two! You must have seduced him, you bitch! Go to hell!"
Selena found it kind of funny and finally got that Raymond must've set Sofia off.
After getting the boot, Sofia must've gone straight to Raymond, only to get shut down hard.
Selena couldn't stand Sofia calling her a bitch over and over. While the guards held Sofia down, Selena walked over and slapped her twice without a second thought.
Sofia looked up in disbelief. "You dare hit me?"
Selena smirked, knowing Sofia would probably end up at the police station, and Olivia would have to bail her out. The Stone family would step in, and Sofia would get out easily.
But Selena couldn't hold back her anger. "Yeah, I hit you. Even if Raymond wanted to be with someone, it wouldn't be you. Besides, he saw you in that pathetic state the other day. How dare you show your face in front of him? Every time he sees you, he'll remember you crying like a mess in front of everyone."
Sofia's eyes widened in rage, and she tried to lunge at Selena, but the guards held her back.
Sofia screamed, "Bitch! Bitch! Just you wait!"
Selena ignored her and got into her car.
Half an hour later, Olivia got a call from Sofia. "Olivia, you have to come bail me out."
Olivia frowned, finding out that Sofia had gone after Selena and even tried to stab her.
Olivia asked, "Did you hurt her?"
Sofia said, "No, she dodged it. Olivia, call Raymond and ask him to come save me. The police said I have to go to jail."
Olivia gritted her teeth; Sofia hadn't succeeded!
But if she ignored Sofia, the Stone family might think she had no pull with Raymond.
Over the years, Olivia had relied on her connection with Raymond to stay in the good graces of the Stone family.
Olivia took a deep breath and called Raymond, trying to sound as sweet as possible. "Raymond, Sofia got into some trouble at the police station, but I'm still stuck in the hospital. Can you help me get her out?"
Raymond was on his way back to Montague Manor and happened to be passing by the police station Olivia mentioned. Thinking it was a small favor, he agreed.
When Raymond got to the police station, he sent John to go in to bail Sofia out.
When they came out, Sofia, in floods with tears, was following John out.
Sofia thought Raymond would give her a ride, so she stopped crying and got all excited.
But Raymond didn't even show his face, and John just got in the car and drove off.
Sofia stood there, fuming. But thinking that Raymond had personally come to bail her out, she felt smug and headed to Rose Garden, where Selena was staying, to wait for her.
Selena didn't get back as quickly as Sofia arrived. When she saw Sofia standing at the gate, she frowned.
Sofia had seen Selena's car at the hospital and recognized the license plate, so she blocked her without hesitation.
Sofia stood in the middle of the road, sure that Selena wouldn't dare hit her.
Selena did stop; she rolled down a window. Sofia stood by it, gloating, "Raymond bailed me out. You didn't expect that, did you? Even if you're his designer, you're nothing to him."
Selena slowly picked up a bottle of water, took a sip, and then splashed it out the window.
The next second, she closed the window, reversed the car, and headed to the Montague Group, leaving Sofia screaming in place.
When Selena arrived at the Montague Group and went to the top floor, she ran into John.
It was already evening; John was surprised to see her.
John said, "Ms. Cooper, are you here to see Mr. Montague? I just dropped him off at Montague Manor. It seems Mrs. Montague needs something from him. He'll be back at the company in two hours. Mr. Montague has a meeting tonight, so you can wait in the office on the top floor."
Selena, still fuming, went to the office.
Two hours later, Raymond finally showed up. As soon as he walked in, he saw Selena sitting on the office sofa, reading a financial newspaper.
