Chapter 342 There's Nothing Going On Between You and Me
They went quiet, and the car rolled to a stop at Rose Garden.
Selena opened the door to get out but hesitated and sat back down.
"If Olivia comes after me again, can I still count on you for help?" She asked, trying to sound confident.
After all, the Fair family was no match for the Stone family, let alone the Montague family.
Olivia was his girlfriend, and with his power, she could do even more damage in the future.
Raymond looked at her, silent for a few seconds before asking, "Why do you think I'd take your side?"
"It's about doing the right thing. I wouldn't provoke Olivia on my own; she sees me as a rival, but there's nothing going on between you and me." As she finished, she felt Raymond's gaze turn intense. She swallowed hard.
He leaned in slightly, staring into her eyes, and said with a mocking tone, "How do you have the nerve to say there's nothing going on?"
Selena's cheeks flushed, and her confidence wavered.
Raymond looked ahead, his fingers lightly gripping the steering wheel. "I'm helping you because there is something between us."
Selena's heart skipped a beat, unable to believe he said that.
Maybe it was the allure of the night, but she felt a bit breathless.
"Selena, if there was nothing between us, you wouldn't even get to see me."
That was the truth.
He wouldn't personally drive a woman home after a late meeting and talk to her so much.
Everything was because there was something between them.
"Get out."
Selena's mind was in a whirl, unable to think clearly.
By the time she got out of the car in a daze and came to her senses, Raymond's car had already driven away.
Selena stood there, unable to resist patting her forehead.
She had to admit, Raymond's perfect face really made her lose her head when he said those words.
She entered the bathroom and splashed her face with cold water to dispel the flirtatious aura.
After taking a shower, she received a text from Shelley.
Shelley: [What's going on? I heard Raymond sent Sofia abroad, causing a big scene with the Stone family. Olivia even stepped in, and now Sofia is on a plane, forbidden to return to Silver Bay City in this lifetime.]
Shelley: [Selena, do you think he's finally come to his senses? Is he going to break up with Olivia? Has he finally seen Olivia's true colors?]
Selena found this amusing.
But she couldn't tell Shelley that she was involved in this matter.
She agreed with a few words, but Shelley was relentless.
Shelley: [If there's trouble between them, this is your chance to take advantage! That's Raymond! You have no idea how many people are prying into his and Olivia's business tonight. Olivia is so anxious she even posted online, claiming their relationship is stable.]
Shelley: [Selena, listen to me. Go back to Ashbourne Manor right now, put on something sexy, and throw yourself at him when he gets back. With your body and face, Raymond won't be able to resist. Then Olivia won't stand a chance!]
Selena rubbed her temples, sensing Shelley's urgency even through the phone.
Selena: [Shelley, I'm a bit tired. I'm going to rest now.]
Shelley, thinking of the Fair family's troubles, decided not to push her further.
Selena slept well that night, but the Fair family did not.
Alice had hoped Olivia and Selena would destroy each other.
She had witnessed Sofia's attempt to assassinate Selena today. She was upstairs in the hospital, thinking Selena and the Stone family would cause a huge scene.

Raymond seemed to be siding with Selena?

She turned green with jealousy. She had only wanted to benefit, but now she was so angry her chest felt like it would explode.
How could that bitch be so lucky? Her husband was Raymond, and Raymond didn't seem to be indifferent to her.
Alice couldn't let them continue to be together!
