Chapter 308 This Was Their Second Time Making Love
Olivia didn't have a clue and totally missed Mia's spaced-out vibe as they walked.
When Mia hit the dessert table, she spotted Emily bugging Caterlington.
Emily snapped, "Don't think I don't know you were messing around with Penny tonight, Caterlington. Do you even get that Penny's just a flirt? She's so not worth your time!"
Emily, fuming, grabbed his arm. "Seriously, there's no point in getting mixed up with her. Come grab a bite with me. Everyone's gonna party all night."
At this annual bash, hardly anyone went upstairs to sleep. They were here to have a blast and hanging with friends was the perfect way to do it.
Caterlington was fed up with her nagging but didn't want to cause a scene since she was Paul's sister. He scanned the room. He'd seen Penny heading this way earlier, but now she was not around.
The two people everyone was looking for were still chilling on the small balcony.
In these situations, women usually got uncomfortable after a while. So, two hours later, Selena started to squirm in her sleep.
Raymond, feeling uneasy, heard her mumble, "It doesn't itch anymore. Stop."
He felt both amused and frustrated. "Almost done, hang in there."
Regaining his cool, Raymond couldn't keep tormenting her and held her tight for the last few minutes.
Afterwards, he rested his forehead on her shoulder.
This was their second time making love.
He slowly dressed her, then carried her back to her room.
Selena's room key was still with her.
Raymond didn't leave right away. When he placed her in the bathtub, he carefully washed her, making sure she was clean all over. Then he dressed her in her nightgown again.
Selena must've been wiped out. She turned over on the bed, found a comfy spot, and fell fast asleep.
It was already 3 AM, and people were still partying outside.
Raymond wanted to wait for her to wake up, but he had a meeting that was still waiting for him. Despite the delay, he had to deal with it.
He'd ask her in the morning what she thought. If she wanted a divorce, he wouldn't fight it.
The next morning, Selena awoke to find herself on the floor.
Her nightgown were strangely loose from the vague touch of it when she had just put it on. She quickly propped herself up, noticing her waist touching the floor while her legs were draped over the bed's edge.
She winced in pain, quickly getting up, feeling her waist ache terribly.
As Selena raised her hand to rub it, she felt weak all over. Did she fall off the bed in the middle of the night?
Her head was also a bit foggy. It seemed like everything went south after drinking the wine Caterlington handed her.
But she couldn't remember what happened next. She just felt super thirsty and speculated she must've found water eventually.
Selena sighed in relief; she was glad she didn't embarrass herself and had made it back to her room early.
But now there was a problem. Nothing explained perfectly away her unusual loose nightgown, and last night Mia only gave her nightgown.
She saw her phone nearby.
Selena quickly thought of calling Mia.
But before she could, Mia had already gotten a call from Raymond.
Raymond's meeting had lasted until now.
Raymond said, "Send a set of clothes up to Penny. Didn't her clothes get wet yesterday?"
Mia's cheeks flushed hearing Raymond's voice. "Okay, Raymond."
She didn't know if it was her imagination, but Raymond's voice seemed to carry a hint of satisfaction.
Just as Selena was about to call Mia, the doorbell rang.
When Selena opened the door, she saw Mia.
Mia felt too embarrassed to look at her, handing her the clothes. "Penny, put these on."
Selena quickly smiled. "Thanks."
Mia stared at her neck. Luckily, Raymond had been discreet and left no hickeys. With so many people downstairs, it would've been bad if someone noticed.
