Chapter 275 Are You Questioning Me?

Raymond sat there for a moment, tapping the table lightly, not really joining in on Olivia's chat.

Olivia pouted a bit before hearing him say, "I gotta head to a meeting."

"Alright, Raymond, you go on."

After hanging up, Olivia's gaze towards Selena softened a lot.

She thought like everyone else: since she got married, there was no way Raymond would be involved with a woman like that.

Honestly, after being with her husband so many times, how could someone as picky as him stand it?

Olivia lifted her chin slightly and started to walk out. "Do what I said. And remember, I like blue. Use natural blue stone for both the walls and the floor. It's really popular abroad."

Selena frowned. Natural blue stone was the priciest material out there, costing millions per piece.

Sure, the blue was stunning and designers called it "Enchanted Blue."

It was a hit in luxury homes. Selena had thought about it, but not for covering entire surfaces—it would look tacky and lack that understated elegance.

"Miss Stone, I have the natural blue stone you mentioned, but it's not suitable for flooring."

Olivia frowned, clearly annoyed at being interrupted.

"Did you forget what I just said? This house is for me, so it should be designed the way I want. Raymond already gave his okay. What problem could you, as a designer, possibly have?"

Selena took a deep breath and smiled lightly. "Because this isn't a style Raymond would like. Using blue stone for flooring doesn't look good and just screams 'expensive.'"

Selena had initially thought Olivia just wanted that pet playground, which was easy enough to handle since it was harmless.

But wanting to use natural blue stone for the entire floor went against Selena's design philosophy, requiring a major overhaul of all the plans!

Plus, such a design was super tacky. Given Raymond's high artistic standards, he wouldn't like the idea of just piling up expensive materials.

"If you insist on using natural blue stone, I'll talk to Raymond about getting a different designer."

Otherwise, designing according to Olivia's wishes would only ruin Selena's own reputation.

A sly smile flashed in Olivia's eyes; this was her goal all along.

She wanted to keep Selena away from Raymond, even if they were married. That face was just too tempting.

"Fine, go ahead and talk to Raymond. I know a few famous designers who can take over your work."

Selena nodded slightly and walked out with big strides, not saying another word.

Olivia stood there, getting an admiring look from Sofia.

"You're amazing. Just a few words and you made that bitch give up voluntarily!"

Olivia tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and smiled lightly. "People like her care about their reputation the most. If the house's photos got leaked, who would dare hire her to design their home?"

Olivia casually dusted off her clothes and frowned disdainfully. "Let's go. I need to change; I have a date with Raymond tonight."

Sofia's eyes turned a bit red with jealousy, but she could only agree.

After driving away, Selena was indeed a bit angry.

She wouldn't let anyone drastically alter her designs. Although she had dealt with difficult clients before, they ultimately respected her decisions.

Olivia was deliberately making things hard. Given this, she might as well take this chance to pass the job to someone else.

After all, she initially wanted this project because her studio was struggling.

Now that the studio had stabilized, there was no need to put up with this.

Selena quickly organized her materials and headed back to the hotel, deciding to wait for Raymond there.

Raymond had declined Olivia's dinner invite, using work as an excuse.

As he walked out of the elevator, John was following him, seriously reporting the content needed for the next morning's meeting.

Noticing the figure in front of the room, Raymond paused, a fleeting expression crossing his eyes.

"Sir, that's all for now. I'll come to pick you up in the morning."

John wisely retreated back into the elevator. As the doors closed, he wondered what game these two were playing.

In the hallway, Raymond casually pulled off his tie and walked nonchalantly to the door.

"Is there something you need?"

Selena hadn't expected him to return so quickly; she thought she would have to wait a long time.

"Weren't you supposed to have a date with Olivia?"

Raymond raised an eyebrow, not swiping his card to open the door but instead looking up at her.

"Is that a question?"

His tone was lazy, and his eyes carried a cold indifference.
